Over Awed By Green

The year of training had flown by faster than Kaden cared to admit. His Gigi told him early on that the greatest weakness a summoner has is their own body. Only by training the body in ways of self-defense did he stand a chance of surviving the horrors of reality. Besides making him work out his body and practice her style of kung fu, Kadens Gigi gave him a history lesson about the true world he lived in. Turns out the Prime Universe was more important than what his father had led on.

The multiverse and the grimoires were not connected. The books were a unique entity only found in the Prime Universe. The mythos that the grimoires were connected to was created by the faith of the humans from earth. Faith even lost faith was powerful enough to create a realm. The Lowborn turns out to be the main power source of the grimoires. It's why the Highborns had strict rules that regulated their interaction.

The reason the grimoire system was created was to empower a force capable of protecting the prime universe from forging dimensions. Intruders who wish to usurp the prime universe power. Every thousand years the Planar Wars would start and the order of priority of the multiverse would be determined. If the prime universe lost its spot at the top then the energy it could draw from to maintain itself would be lower. Kaden's Gigi told him that if that were ever to happen the earth would die as the sun would fail.

The stars themselves were fueled by the multiverse. It was the Highborn's duty to get stronger to fight for their home when the planar war came again. Gigi told him that the next war would start in another hundred years. That every summoner in the universe would be forced to participate. It would be worse than any war he had ever read about before. Billions would die, she said as her eyes seemed to be reliving something long ago. Kaden could not help but be scared of his Gigi. She was after all the scariest person he knew.

Besides history and what was to come, Kaden learned how to better use his book. Gigi trained him on how to meditate with it. In turn how to inscribe spells and other bits of knowledge into it. She warned him to not get carried away since the book only had a set number of pages. If he was not careful he would fill it up with junk. She recommended him to skip the first hundred and twelve pages since the first page was his info, and the second, and the third were for his blessing, and skills. The hundred and eight pages were left blank for his special summons. After the leftover pages, she recommended using them with the school's thought spells.

Gigi said that every grimoire has a set number of special summons to it. For him, it was obvious that it would be the hundred and eight warriors heroes of destiny. Kaden was very lucky that his blessing told him how many special summonings he would have. She said that special summons was best placed at the front of the book. Spells should be stored starting from the last page. Then fill them in going backward. Depending on the spell he could put two or three on a single page. Where more powerful spells could take upwards of six pages. As for the ordinary summons that he would contract during his time in school. Could be placed on pages one hundred and thirteen and fill it up going forward.

Kaden Gigi was proud of everything he had achieved over his year with her. She would not admit it but she was going to miss his presence in the large empty house. Instead of having his parents pick him up, she decided to send him back all by herself. It was a testament to her strength. What took six people to do she could do by herself with just a wave of her hand. She did not even bother to summon her book.

In a flash, Kaden was back in his yard. He just needed to bring back with him two suitcases this time. The weeks worth of training Gi had long ago been destroyed. The two suitcases were, of course, full of books. "Well, son, we have four weeks before the classes start. I have a trip to get those books of yours all planned out." His father said as he came up and patted Kaden on the back. He was now a good six inches taller than he was before. His lean frame now was packed full of muscle. Something you would not be able to notice if you did not look closely.

"Haha, that sounds great dad," Kaden said, full of excitement. He was ready for a breather. He loved his Gigi but she was a slave driver. Before he could turn to give his mom a hug he felt a sharp pain in his ear. "Thinking about this old woman already you rascal," came a sweet voice that filled his dreams with nightmares. It, of course, belonged to his overpowering Gigi.

It was a couple of days before he had to leave to go to his new school. His mother had hinted that his trip would be the most awe-inspiring one yet but was tight-lipped about anything else that might involve it. His father, on the other hand, gave him a belt and told him it contained all the supplies he would need for the year.

Kaden's dad also gave him a crystal that was the shape of a debit card. A debit card that was boi-electrically key to his energy. Nobody but Kaden would be able to use it. His dad said he would put his allowance on the card at the beginning of each month. That should be enough for him to buy anything that he might need. His dad warned him that it only had a limited amount of funds on it. That he could not go crazy buying every book he saw. The money was not meant for Kaden's collection obsession. The card was only to help with his daily school needs.

Kaden was super happy that his father gave him a storage belt. He had read about them in one of his Gigi books. Even if the storage size was not that big, being two square meters. The belt was large enough for his needs. Using his sprite to look inside the belt Kaden saw that it was well organized. Considering it came from his father he was not surprised.

Kaden had read that if you did not keep the space organized it could cause things to go missing. That it contained all his school books along with the rest of the needed supplies made it important for him to keep it that way. He also saw that the school uniforms were also stored neatly inside. It would make his travels light as he did not need to carry anything else with him.

"Kaden, your father was not the only person to get you something, I and Gigi also have a surprise for you," Lisa said with a big grin. Next, to her, his Gigi who was now in her old hag getup took a green gem out from nowhere.

"Since your fate lies with the stars we were able to get you this little bobble. Here catch," Gigi said as she tossed the gem up in the air in the direction of Kaden. Both Chad's and Lisa's reactions showed that this little green gem was something extraordinary. Kaden's superior reflexes had no problems plucking the gem from the air. "Gigi what is this thing I feel like all the plant life around is more vibrant because of this thing," Kaden asked.

"Why don't you just touch that gem to your book and see if you have fate with it? We just are giving you a chance, nothing else ok brat." Gigi said as she crossed her arms across her chest. He nodded his head as he touched the round gem to his grimoire. The whole yard exploded in excitement as the grass started to grow two feet tall, the flowers all bloomed for a second time and the tree all sprouted new limbs growing even taller than before. The apple and pear tree each grew plump large fruits. The site left Kaden speechless once again. It was truly another beautiful experience.
