New Home

Kaden's family's penthouse was mind-blowing to him and his friends. It had a dozen freaking bedrooms, A patio that opened to a large private pool and jacuzzi, a full-size kitchen, a den with a working fireplace, a large living room, a study, and a private theater room. It was way larger than his little home in Chicago. Even the powder room was bigger than his bedroom back at his old house. Speaking of the bathrooms, the place came with four full bathrooms along with a private bathroom in the master bedroom. The place took up the entire top floor of the dorm building.

Each bedroom had a walk-in closet almost half the size of the bedroom itself. The only downside was that all but the master bedroom was empty. The master bedroom held a massive king-size bed and a chase in the corner with a floor lamp. A large 80-inch tv was hidden in the ceiling. Tom was the first to find it.

Besides the Bedrooms, the study had plenty of shelving space to hold a small library of books. That was Kaden's favorite room by far. The theater room screen rivaled an Imax screen. Kaden wondered if he would ever have time to enjoy that room.

"That's it. As your teammate, I say, I get to clam one of the unused rooms as my own" Ash announced after they finished touring the place. The others had the same glint in their eyes as her and shared the same idea. "I second Ash's proposal. It will be a great way for teamwork. Plus imagine cleaning this place all by yourself." Bruces said with as much logic as he could find.

"Yeah, Kaden, you don't want to spend all weekend cleaning this place. I think if we are all here to help. We'll be able to watch the games in that theater room on the big screen. It will be like being at the games in person." Bisma said. He did not care about a bedroom, he just wanted easy access to the theater room to watch his teams play their games.

"I still am curious what our old rooms look like," Hinata stated as if the decision to move in was already made. "I'm sure they will be way underwhelming compared to this place," said Jason trying to not grin at Kaden's expense.

"Fine but you all better help me clean. I don't even know if they will allow us to even have the girls here. I already read the school policies and sharing a penthouse with the opposite sex would violate what I read." Kaden said giving up in defeat.

As Kaden said his peace and was about to ask if they should go down to check out the other rooms the main entrance door opened up. Everybody heard the chime that had sounded when they first entered. It surprised everybody in the house as they had sworn the door auto-lock itself as they had come in.

"Let's go see if it's my Gigi or my parents. Gigi said she would visit me from time to time," Kaden said. "Your grandmother can Jump this far, That's impressive," Hinata said with stars in her eyes. Anybody capable of pulling that off was beyond powerful. Hinata had a strong desire to meet Kaden's Grandma now.

"Kaden only people with special permission can freely jump to this station," Jason said in a serious tone as he and the others just wondered what kind of background Kaden truly held. Super powerful grandma, a pet cat that was Dean of the school, the heiress of one of the most powerful families known as his fiancee.

They all knew he came from a simple family that lived in Chicago. He told them his mom was a legal secretary and his dad a doctor. Nothing more than that besides having a crazy grandma and he likes to read a lot. They figured he was just as clueless as them. He just handles the unknown better than most. Kaden and the party quickly went to the entryway of the home to see who had entered. It was, of course, the last person he wanted to see enter his home right now. Jessica Diana Rockefeller stood there staring at the group before her.

"AH, you beat me home, Dang it, I had a surprise all planned out for you. So did Bee find his way back to you Kaden?" Jessica asked with puppy dog eyes as she removed the glasses she wore for work. She felt the glasses made her look more sophisticated and older than she was. Not that she needed them. She needed the extra confidence to pull off all that had to happen today.

Jessica was never a people person and the only friend she ever had was Kaden. She truly loved him even if she decided to play it cool at the entrance exam. Part of why she spilled the beans was so she could lay calm to the boy before any other girl got too close to him.

"Ah, I see you brought your teammates as well," Jessica said as she refixed her glass and pretended the slip in decorum never happened. "Now I wish I would have talked to you more before you wander off. Bringing people to our home without me knowing is kind of embarrassing." She added.

The tick mark on Kaden's head was starting to throb. The others were left speechless. Hinata seemed to lose her soul as she fainted. She was lucky Ash was right next to her to catch her. Kaden hated when his logical mind worked out the conclusion he was unwilling to admit. He knew his family standing very well. Gigi had spent a year educating him about both sides of his family line. His mother's side was ancient and noble. The number of lives they had given to protect the realm was vast. The same could be said about his father's line. But his father's line was filled with dreamers always trying to do the impossible. In his Gigi words, they were a bunch of morons. Wealthy and powerful morons but morons nonetheless.

There was just no way his family could afford a penthouse like this one. Beelzebub working as the dean did not correlate ownership of such a huge facility. Beelzebub's job was forced on him since his grandmother had retired from the post long ago. The true owners of the space station were just one family. The creation of the Edensburg might have been done with both his line's aid but the money behind it all was the Rockefellers.

Three families Flanagan, Rockefeller, and Lee had countless years' worth of friendship. Whereas both Kaden's family lines paid a price in blood. The Rockefellers paid it in hard-earned cash. Not to belittle the lives their family had lost as well. But it was a drop compared to the capital the Rockefellers invested in the future.

"Jessica, I have not seen you in eight years. I'm happy that it is you. But why are we already living together?" Kaden could not help but ask. His question caused her to blush and look away in a cute manner causing the boys to let out a long sigh and Ash was murmuring something about hormones.

"Yeah, Vice Dean, are you not breaking one of the school rules?" Ash decided to strike when the iron was hot. It was the least she could do for Hinata. "I most certainly did not break any rules. I did not assign Kaden that key," Jessica said then under her breath. "My annoying father did."

"Hmm, I see Sir Rockereffer did. Well, that makes things easy." Ash countered. As she pulled her phone out of her pocket and called a number she had saved on her speed dial. "Yo, Uncle it's me, Ash. Guess where I am right now?" Ash said with a big grin. "No, Ash Don't," Jessica said as she rushed forward to stop her cousin.

"Yeah, I'm at Jess' place, you guessed right. Did you know uncle, that girl did not bother to even say hello to me when we bump into each other in the hall earlier? All she could think of was tackling a certain boy to steal his cat." Ash said with an even bigger grin as the voice on the other end started laughing his butt off.

"Anyways Uncle, Kaden this brat did not even recognize me or Jess. He was curious but you should have seen his face when Jess said she was his fiancee. It was priceless, ah huh, no worries I took pictures I'll send them to you and auntie later. But the reason I called was that the elite freshmen class entered Lee's Penthouse and were just all smitten with it. We like to be transferred here too. It will help you by keeping an eye out for Jess. Well, just think of all the fun I will have." Ash said knowing her Uncle would agree. After all, he spoiled her more than anybody else. Way more than he did Jessica, his own daughter.

Ash hung up with a smile as she told everybody that her uncle agreed. "Ok, since daddy said so, no point in trying to change that. But, we need some ground rules. If not I'll be moving into the other penthouse and not staying here," Jessica said as she crossed her arms across her chest.
