6 Mismatched!?

The next day, Ben finished his morning exercise a bit earlier than yesterday, earning him another 8 stat points. So while resting, he opened his social media account and posted his hiring notice in public, then he proceeded on making his breakfast, a little cleaning here and there before readying for school. Just as he finished, his mother called him asking about the post.

"Ben, do you want me to help you find a housekeeper? I read your post so might as well help you, right?"

"Mom, you don't need to bother, besides, I'll sort out something this trivial, you've already helped me a lot by giving me this apartment and I want to find a stay-out temporary housekeeper or else I'll be moving my study in my bedroom to accommodate, it's gonna be a lot of work again."

"But – "

"Mom, trust me, you just relax at home okay? Give my regards to Jace and Jona and Dad too! Bye Mom!"

Ben hurriedly hung up the phone his mother is as fussy as ever to all her children. He then proceeded to lock his door and drive to school. His classes will start today and it's going to be as hectic as hell, good thing it won't be for long, when he's added some points on his Fortitude stat, he hopes his strength of mind and intelligence will also increase.

While having lectures, Ben just stares in front seemingly listening but in truth he's really puzzled about Karin's changed appearance, it's not like its bad and all but he's getting curious about what happened in her life.

Karin is an illegitimate child, her mother was a seamstress working for her father's wife, and her mother fell in love even knowing that the man is already married to her boss. When Karin was born, the lawful wife adopted Karin and treated her like a true daughter, living like a princess she was lazy, a little spoiled and an introvert, having only the love of her parents. Her cousins don't treat her like a relative and only remembers her when they need something from her, so she slowly built a wall in her heart. Don't be fooled by her smile, she's got a lot of fears and heartaches too. I've seen and experienced how her relatives treat her in the past. Ben doesn't like to approach her yet, it should be in a year before they meet, and that's why he's satisfied just seeing Karin from afar.

'Yue, is it my rebirth here that caused Karin to change?' Ben asks hoping his system has an answer for him.

/Master, I don't think that's the case, you've only been here for two months and three days, and you haven't done anything yet but stayed with your family within that time. Although this is a parallel world, not all circumstances are the same. You can only find out for yourself if you're that curious.

'You're right! I should sort out this quest first. Thanks for the advice Yue, I really needed that one or else I might do something reckless and regret in the future.'

Completing his morning exercises, Ben checked his status, he's been accumulating his SP and now that it's already Saturday he's gotten 45 SP, and proceeded to distribute it equally on all his attributes.

Satisfied with his distribution, he then moved to clean the house before showering and making breakfast. This past week, he lived like any normal student, exercising, eating, going to school, studying then going home soon after school. He held himself back from going to the High School Building to stop from getting more curious and distracting himself with his priorities. He figured by Wednesday, he can complete his quest and then he'll be able to see Karin again.

He has not yet found a housekeeper despite the week long interval and he's been renewing his post every other day. There were some who applies but most of them want to stay in the house and he can't find it in himself to simply trust someone he doesn't even know. How good it is to have Karin here right now.

After showering and looking at himself in the mirror, Ben's eyes got so wide and he pinched himself, thinking he was dreaming. "D*mn! It hurts! What happened to my body!"

/Master, you're so.. you're so hmm, cute? I couldn't find the words to describe your expression right now, so sad I missed to take a picture of you. It will give me some memorable enjoyment looking at it every time.

"Yue, what happened? Why is my body like this? It's so, how do I say this, mismatched?! How am I supposed to go to school looking like this?"

Ben didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the moment, he saw himself in his full body mirror with a face so handsome you can say he's a school heartthrob but with a body that's just like a wrestler, with bulging muscles.

/Master, did you forget that you just distributed your status points earlier? Of course there will be a change. Since your body is still like any normal people, it will follow the change in your attributes unless you take a body enhancement pill.

"Will my body recover to what it was, before after taking the pill? Tell me the effect of Body Enhancement Pill."

"I guess I won't be going to school for a while until I'm done with the quest, I can't explain on how big of a mismatched change I had over the course of just a weekend to the others."

Determining his course of action, he rummaged his cabinet for clothes big enough for him to wear then drove to a nearby clothing store to buy some that fits him for the next few days.
