Broigus Boss

'bang'- sound

'yup!'- thoughts

"Hello."- speech

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Tick-tock; tick-tock; tick-tock; trriing.'
The clock struck 6 p.m. as the minute hand shrouded the Roman numerical of 12.
'Bam!', Wiase slammed his cluttered desk and stood up straight, startling his coworkers. All the junk was stuffed by him into his brown-tanned leather satchel as he dashed out of his cubicle. He swung his satchel around with the strap, taking giant leaps toward the elevator door.
'Lalalala. Finally! I can go home now—', he sang internally.
"Where do you think you are going", a deep geriatric voice interrupted his thoughts, making him flinch.
Wiase Lumii turned back, matching the pace of a haunted door, and looked over his shoulder to see his boss standing there along with his usual stoic, disdainful expression he never liked this old man's face)
"Answer me, would you? You look like you've seen a ghost."
'Oh don't insult a ghost by comparing it with yourself', Lumii inwardly snickered at his remark (like the little brat he is.)
"I am going home, sir."
"Everyone is still working their butt off. Do you think you are an exception?", disbelief laced the older man's voice.
'Damn right, I am. Talk about a late realization', Wiase thought as he gave a wry smile to his boss.
"No sir, I dare not. But I think it is already 6 'o'clock."
"So?"
"My job description distinctly referred that the working hours get over at 6."
The old man was stumped at his employee's response.
Wiase grabbed this opportunity to get the hell out of there, not forgetting to yell good evening to his boss.
......
That's right. To his boss. Frankly speaking, the boss could not believe that as well, but he is bound to put up with Wiase's shenanigans.
Mr. Boss sighed despondently and thought, 'If only I had not driven to that side of the town that day.'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As soon as the elevator stopped a 25-year-old man dashed out of it.

'Phew~ Can't believe I made it. I thought I was in for another overtime', Wiase's nose scrunched up at the thought of working even a minute after 6.

'Crash!'

Visitors looked weirdly at him, who had crashed into the revolving door, while the staff carried on with their work (They were used to it). He was never very good with those things.

"Ugh", Wiase got up, dusted his pants, and picked up his leather bag.

'This is the third time this week. Why don't they just place a normal door here?! Why make something as simple as a door so complex?', he thought, as he made his way out of the building.
