Pain spread from her cheeks to her throbbing headache.

"Who would've thought that someone this close to me would have the guts to take the role of a home wrecker!"

Mina was rooted to the ground. Never in her lifetime would she think that her best friend's fiancé would set her up!

"Mina! You're finally here! Hurry over so we can decide what to buy for Lulu's birthday gift."

"Are you sure you want me to decide? Wouldn't she feel more appeased knowing that you thoughtfully selected whatever you've chosen?"

"I did that last year and received negative response. You ought to help me this time around." He pulled her sleeve and looked into Mina's glistening emerald eyes.

"Stop that! Other people will misunderstand that i'm bullying you. You're acting so childishly! I don't see what Lulu sees in you!"

Shi Chen lifted his chin upward and arrogantly brush his fingers into his auburn colored hair. "It's obviously thanks to my dashing looks and amazing personality, what else can it be?"

Mina rolled her eyes and turned her back facing Shi Chen.

While Mina is searching for the location on her phone's GPS, little did she know that Shi Chen was staring at her lovingly with a bitter frown.

"Let's start walking. It's only 3 minutes away from here."

Shi Chen immediately turned to his right profile and walked in the direction of where the GPS was guiding.

"You can't go wrong with a squishy and huggable plush!", Mina shouted with great confidence. She triumphed through the doors and looked around the store in awe.

"Uhh... right... whatever you say Ms. know-it-all", Shi Chen replied with a sneer.

Mina whipped her head around to face him. Her hair slapped his lips during the process and Shi Chen's face was painted pink tint.

"Do you want my help or not!?"

"Y-y-yes!", stuttered Shi Chen.

Just a small brush has made him lose his composure that he diligently kept all the 9 years of knowing her. It wasn't because he was a shy or embarrassed, it was because he was extra sensitive when Mina touches him. Her being, her existence, and her presence makes him lose his breathe every time. He fell in love at first sight when she first met her in sophomore year of high school. However, never would he thought that Mina was in love with Lulu.

That's right, Mina was in love with her best friend, Lulu. Shi Chen found out coincidentally when he caught sight of Mina intently stare at Lulu's desk. In Highschool, Mina sat behind Lulu while Shi chen sat next to Lulu. As Mina was seated next to the window, she would always gaze at the garden that was grown by the garden club. Occasionally, she would take multiple glances at Lulu's hair bun. She couldn't help but grin from seeing the bun bounce like a bunny.

Shi Chen took note of Mina's behavior and immediately formulated the puzzle. "All these were signs of love no matter how you look at it!", thought Shi Chen.

But he was wrong...

In reality, Mina was staring at the scunchie that Shi Chen gave to Lulu. She was ultimately jealous, but still smiled because it really suited Lulu nonetheless. However, she was bitter that she never received anything from him even though they have been friends for a long while.

Initially, Mina and Lulu were childhood friends as their mothers were also childhood friends. With the strong bond, it was inevitable that the children of theirs would also be best friends.
