Kenji threw on a robe with a multi-colored Asian dragon on it.

James stared. “That’s neat.”

“Thank you. I hope you have a good day. I’m going to drive to Santa Cruz late this afternoon to catch the sunset. I’ll likely have dinner on the wharf at the multi-generational Italian seafood restaurant. Would you like to join me? If your ass feels up to it.” He smiled deep.

“Oh, no, I shouldn’t.”

“Why shouldn’t you? That sounds like some old program you’re running there, son.”

James blushed again. “Actually, I don’t know why I shouldn’t. It was an automatic response.”

“So, you would like to go?”

“I suppose I do. What time?”

“I’ll leave here about five P.M. I won’t drink, so I’ll drive sober. You can drink.”
