James drove his mom and dad to his place from the fancy restaurant, A Taste of Italy. He had nothing to drink so he could drive totally sober. He pushed his luck enough.

Mom said, “James, you had nothing to drink at dinner. Are you okay?”

“Sure, Mom. I just realized it’s foolish to drive with booze in me.”

She reached up from the back seat and patted his shoulder. “I’ve been telling you that since you were twelve. I’m glad to see it’s finally settled in for you. You haven’t been arrested for DUI, have you?”

He shook his head. “No, Mom, I haven’t, but I risked my luck too much. Time to grow up, eh?”
