He’d said goodbye to her quickly and left, because he didn’t want to make up absurd excuses.

While showering, his thoughts went back to Elias. Almost ten days had passed, and he still hadn’t talked to him. In his many years, he’d never met somebody like him; it was hard to form a solid opinion of him, or anticipate his moves. It was like trying to climb on a chair and having somebody pushing you down every time without giving you the time to find your feet. Elias had looked for him, provoked him, escaped, and then he’d teased him and got scared. On top of that, he’d kissed him with the tenderest of kisses. And lastly, he’d disappeared. Completely.

Thomas had wondered many times if he should send him a text to find out how he was, see if his face was better, and most of all, to make sure he hadn’t been beaten up again.
