10 The Joker Card

It wasn't clear what this wraith was but he couldn't let fear push him out of there.

"Delun, Are you there?" Bo shouted, his hand was on the button of the helmet's microphone. His voice echoed.

"Bo, is that you? I am here on the roof, man. Be careful, he is not here and might be after you." It approved that was Delun. Gratefully, he was alive yet.

"Hang on, I am on the way." Flames lashed the air and made him pause, his uniform was fireproof and the helmet had filters. He had these clothes but what about Delun. He heard the tick-tock sound of his pulse in his head.

If he had the blue diamond of Immortality court then he didn't need to be worried about it. Why would Ai act cruelly and take it from him?

Bo gritted his jaw, "Damn it!"

He noticed a strolling being around him but the smoke and low vision didn't let him realize what it was. He heard loud giggling noises.

"It is nice to see you, Bo! Your tarry could sever your friend's head! I thought that your Queen card might warn you." He chuckled.

His voice wasn't familiar and he awaited to see this person. He knew about the Queen card that Bo only showed his mother and younger brother beside Delun. There was only one possibility, which this was the werewolf juggler who he met in childhood or this person was a juggler! But he wasn't a normal one.

Ai used to collect every bit of the dark world servants' information to find out about the clique of them and this one could be one of them, he thought. He sensed a sharp heat that was biting his legs, sneaking up and making it difficult to ascend. The savage greedy flames had drained the oxygen and made it hard to breathe.

No, the werewolf juggler couldn't be one of them. He saved Bo. His father treated him respectfully and that man had the king's seal on his entrance certification.

"Listen rascal! If you hurt even a strand of his hair I am going to…" Bo menaced but a figure began to shape in front of him and interrupted him.

He had only a few stairs to reach the roof's door and this person was between them. His idea about this stranger, being the werewolf Juggler rejected immediately. That was a vampire, a magician vampire juggler, and could be related to the recent murder cases that immortality court detectors couldn't solve then handed to the Cadickus judges that they also left with empty hands. To handle this matter, the king sent his numerous hunters.

But there was a problem here! What was the problem of this assassin along with his family?

"What would you do? I am keen to know." A bloody red mask covered his face and stripped Bo from seeing his face.

"I will tear you apart but first tell me; what do you want from us?"

"I can hear your heartbeat! Ah, this is so pleasant."

"Really! Wrong answer." Bo said and seized ahead. The vampire dodged simply.

"Actually! I am curious to know how much do you like life!" He twirled around Bo as if a buzzing naughty fly.

"Why does it matter to you? Your just a mean filthy." Bo cried out, he was going to be impatient.

"I would like to offer my lord the boy he wanted since ten years ago." He declared.

A shiver and a sharp sting rushed through Bo's heart but he had no intention to give up. He lit up the pink light of the energy cube on his smartwatch and let it bother the juggler.

"To be honest, I gave up on life once but life never gave up on me! From that time, I backed it and living my life. I won't let anyone take it from me." Bo said and firmed.

The vampire got close and Bo this time managed to take hold of his leather coat punching him on the face with another hand. If it weren't for the pink light hitting the vampire's eyes he barely could get that luck.

"Have you assumed that I can't take it from you?"

"Did you mean to steal it from me? Then do your best but I doubt you make it out easily because I like playing cards."

"So, let's play a bit dirty. You might not mind losing some drops of blood." He was smirking mischievously.

Bo was praying to the gods that couldn't remember their names to save Delun from that situation. The magician vampire grabbed the boy from the back of his collar and tossed him to the wall then emerged near him, sniffing his senses that dread wasn't between them.

He picked Bo up and threw him up the stairs near the door. Bo just needed to consume some time until the hunters arrived. He handled the stroke and got up from the hot ground. He smiled as he sensed the power of diamond streaming out from his chest. Ai released his weapon and he was back in the shadow of Aligner's squad.

The lightning rushed through his vessels, his vain and eyes and he could see its reflection inside his helmet glass. He permitted the wicked being to come closer to him. Still, he wasn't sure that the diamond power could overcome this magician.

He clenched his fist, ready to try the burning diamond ball.

"So, you are a shadow Aligner that has been hunting our wraiths!" The vampire stated and he seemed glad for discovering a secret. He was holding a card that had a red Joker on the black background. Either of the jugglers' cards had their own utilities of power and Bo had no idea what this one was able to do with him.

As he expected the juggler approached enough to give him the advantage of a burning hug. Diamond could make Bo faster, very faster, and gave him the strength he needed to handle harsh strokes of the vampire and catch a high speed.

"You said that you prefer to bleed, so let me fulfill your demand." Bo mocked, punched him as hard as he could.

The juggler slipped back, tasted the sweet blood on his lips but before got back on his feet Bo pinned him to the ground to let him taste the diamond burning light ball. His knees squeezed his chest and didn't want to let him escape. His fingers curled into a fist, punched his face.
