14 Dedication

The car crossed the bridge. They were heading north of Lake Vita that was way higher than this area. From there, the city was twinkling as if looking at stars that landed on the ground.

The Immortality court had many buildings in Las Vita. All of them were sat on the north of either city; having huge ancient stone architecture, that no one dared to cross the forests and cemetery to enter their region or step there for prying.

There was only one road reaching the court and it was passing the forest that the screeches were flowing out during the night. A place that neither of their devices worked while being in there so if someone wanted to contact outside had no choice but to move out and find the building of the court.

But there were still some people who were prone to achieve their wishes and used to enter that part. People used to say that those who lost the way and entered the ancient cemetery got insane because the mad wraiths of fays that couldn't leave this world caught them and they had gone mad for their greedy heart and wishes.

They crossed the arch of the court gateway at the beginning of the route. It was also the Aligners academy and it meant that many of those pupils were used to study besides that cemetery in the heart of the Rose forest.

"Keep this counsel from me kid! Be honest with the hunters because they can become demons toward your persistence." Commander Chen declared after a large-sized silence that almost killed everyone like a sharp cutter.

"Why would I lie?" Bo snapped. What they had thought about him? Maybe they assumed that he allowed the juggler to come inside Vita! He smirked, repeating to himself, were they out of their minds?

"No, reason! Smart, you have gotten your lesson already."

"Thanks anyway. I would keep in mind." Bo responded. He wasn't a low-key person but he would respect this man for this friendly advice. Not everyone was nice to him since he joined the Aligners.

They believed that he just wanted to show off around as his father's son. This counsel was a help that had no harsh burden for him.

"Yes, When you speak the truth, thus things would go on the right path sooner than lying that makes the path wrench alongside the life and might bring more pain and hazard outcomes to you, boy." He added.

"All I need to crave from Gods is that they spare us cures for these freaking hard pains." Delun complained about his condition that neither of the physician Aligners would dare to touch it.

"You are a detective, a first-grade Aligner, aren't you? I saw you before." One of the Aligners beside Elan said.

"Yes, I am a bit noisy, that's why you know me!" Delun seemed proud of it; steading his shoulder he swallowed his pain not to lose face.

"To be honest, both of you are so noisy! Anyways, I am Bernard Dane; grade three of detectors in Commander Chen squad!" He introduced himself.

"It seems that we can't come back to Academy very soon!" Delun puffed out the air in his lungs and leaned back.

"No, you will be locked here in the academy under the protection of hunters and the elders! Karmalin wouldn't let the hunters make you prey for the threat so don't disappoint him, kids." It was as if the longest statement that Commander Chen already brought up because his men all shifted to him, glancing in wonderment.

In a stealth muteness, Delun nudged Bo's hip who was thinking about the commanders' word. "Shall we choose this squad?"

"Delun!" He sighed, "Let us find the way to rescue our ass from this case then we would decide!" Bo stated.

For him, life was unexpected like a surprise box that unfortunately beasts used to spring out.

The car stopped. The commander was the first one who slipped out. They had to send the boys to the guardroom until the hunters asked for cross-examining, after him, the back door slid over and they moved the arrested Aligners. Bo glanced up and saw that Karmalin was watching them from his library.

"Karmalin wouldn't believe that we are hand in glove with Lashuka! That dark world god makes no sense with us!" Delun said.

"I am afraid he does, mate!" Bo answered in disappointment.

"What do you mean bro?" It could be a misfortune then, he thought with himself.

At the meant time, the scanner Robot floated down adjusted the height as theirs to check their identity through studying their faces.

"Please keep your head up!" The scanner voice stated. They shifted their head straight up to the seeker.

A green faint light grew along with their faces, reading every detail and recording that they are still entirely human.

When humans were supposed to live in such a world besides other beings with great population while also their king was a day, they had to enhance their living style by bringing technology to protect them or bring them relief.

As the hovering scanner was done with its work. Delun's eyes rolled up but the shaman wasn't there anymore. He wished that Karmalin's prayers paid off well because the gods were going to take life strictly on them, lately.

Karmalin was a high wise divine fay that even the king used to respect a lot. An old man with a great pleasant aura and if the king couldn't solve an issue he was the highest hope of the proceeding with the troubles. But he had enemies and cons; they were the priests of either god that used to run their shrines and gather the people's offering gifts.

Anytime the fay king invited them, to the Parliament they staged a show to stand against Karmalin's warnings and that was the reason why Vita went in tough moments of war with the dark world and lost many grand forces.

They took the boys through the back of the building that the stairs were descending, A yellow light lamp was on the top of the doorway. It was leading them under the ground of the court.

They sneaked down the stairs, two guards were ahead of them. The commander and another one were following them. The yellow and pink lamp lights of the energy cube were lashing the eyes. Delun was behind Bo, thinking about what Bo used to say.

"How much does it take for them to finish the quest?" The other soldier behind him said.

"It depends on them and the hunters that believe their words." The commander explained.

Neither of them was stuck with hunters until now and it was the first time that they were seeing two Aligners had to answer back to the king's men. They disliked that the hunters sewed names on their position, it could be causation toward them.

The hunters were calling the army of salvation and used to be praised in Tharina, by the king and people. They had only one dedication and it was to the king and his Vita throne.
