Life can be normal or fuzzy, with humor or sadness, fun or boredom, love or pain, and among all those lives is mine.

I like to be quiet, thinking about my novels and my favorite music. The girls in my class always talk about her cute idols and everything about them and one of them is my best friend Kim, who by the way I love her very much, but at the same time she is very silly. She sounds bad, but she knows it.

She rang the bell, and I entered — according to me — my hell.

I sat in the back, where ever, and pulled out one of my favorite books. Being at peace I immersed myself in my book. But as always the good has an end.

- Laura Batzo! Pay attention to the class!

That horrible voice saying my name was nothing more and nothing less than the teacher scolding me for not wanting to pay attention to her terrible explanation.

They all burst out laughing with their terrible mocking laughter, it was so annoying and embarrassing at the same time. My cheeks were turning red.

I stood up and asked permission to leave. Enduring the laughter of people I don't get along with was frustrating. At no time had he given them that confidence.

"Well, if you want," the teacher answered me, looking at me from head to toe. Sometimes I wondered if I am so weird as to do that; or is it just she who looks so indifferent at everyone.

I was somewhat astonished to see that she had given me permission, although it would have been embarrassing if she had not given it to me either.

It was too good to be true. It was getting weird not having heard one of her sarcastic comments.

I rolled my eyes. Someday it would be normal, but I was going to think about it after leaving this horrible place.

I headed for the door and ran down the stairs. Such a large school has its disadvantages, and ours is that our bathroom is on the other side of the establishment. I don't know how the teachers later complain to us for taking us so long; well, your bathroom is right there.

Couldn't it be a boy with a normal name? Besides, you could tell that he was not calm at all. Those with faces like that are not calm. I didn't want to be in charge of him.

I glanced at him. He looked very haughty. He wore the uniform of a very peculiar formal. He didn't know how they had let him in like that. If it had been me, it was most likely that they would send me back home. Hence the favoritism.

"Well," I answered without having a choice. He wasn't going to be so bad, he just had to show him where the bathrooms were and he was there. He could survive that way.

When I was going to the store to buy my food I heard some kicking that was crawling on the wall.

Out of curiosity I wanted to look and to my bad luck I saw something that I did not want to see. Apparently Justin already had a girlfriend and that's why he had left school before I did. What was noticeable was his age difference. The girl looked like a senior.

She already knew that she would be one of those types.

He saw me and I grimaced. Even my hunger was gone.

I shook my head and walked away from the place. It was none of my business to see them.

Justin touched my shoulder and looked at me.

"Come with me," he said as soon as I looked at him. I took my hand away from him.

-Of course not

And without waiting for his answer, I started walking at a fast pace so that he wouldn't catch up with me.

As he went on he was thinking why he was being silly. I only saw him making out with another girl, all guys do that.

Shut up conscience

I looked around and didn't see it. I calme. When I was going to return to the kiosk someone grabbed my arm. Turning around, I realized it was Justin.

He gave me an "evil" smile you could say and he led me away from the sight of others.

"You're not going to tell anyone what you saw, I just arrived and I don't want anything bad about me to be known," he warned me seriously.

I looked at him scared, but when he said those words I pushed him away. How conceited.

- So what if I say it? I exclaimed and sighed. This was already getting me tired.

He approached me with a smile on his face

"I'm going to steal something precious ... that I think you still have," he spoke so arrogantly that I felt his breath come to my face. I turned my face to the side.

I started to think… My… Book? What is precious about me? Nothing, absolutely nothing ... that I know of

He looked at me like he was crazy, then he leaned close to my ear.

I looked into his eyes in disgust. I thought I would have a better idea than these things. I hit him on the leg and ran off.

He didn't chase me which was good, he wasn't going to run anymore because of him. Also, he had already missed all recess because of him, I couldn't eat anything.

At the end of the classes I headed home. Between that my cell phone rings in my bag. I took it out and looked at the screen. It was mom.

- What's up mom? I asked dejectedly. Every time her mom called me she was because of one of her crazy things that she always did with her.

"I have something to show you when you arrive," she told me anxiously

After that she hung up.

Mom never had good news, unless it is food that she brings for the two of us to eat together.

If I don't see it…. I do not judge.

I put the cell phone away and ran towards the house

I opened the door and the first thing I see is a man sitting in the living room and my mother was holding his hand.

"Daughter," she said excitedly, "he is your new father," she told me with a smile. "Or at least he will be legally in the future." She approached him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. I held myself back from making a face.

I looked at her with a disinterested face since it was her life and it was not for me to interfere. Telling not to get into my personal space everything was going to be fine. She was happy, so everyone was happy.

"Welcome to the family," I said with a fake smile. The men in this house were very, very rare.
