69 The Tiebreaker

The weak light of day filtered into the room through the makeshift curtain Alina had put up a few days ago. Ivo's eyelids fluttered open, and the first thing he saw was the star on Davi's back, centimetres away from his face.

Unable to stop himself he raised a fingertip to the topmost point and started tracing the outside of it counterclockwise.

He couldn't explain his fascination with the star. He supposed it was the manifestation of his more concerning fascination with Davi.

Just thinking about it soured his mood. Other than his looks, and a strong sense of social responsibility, Davi really didn't have that many qualities.

Half of the time he looked like someone had pissed on his cereal. He was taciturn, prone of dark moods and sharp bouts of irritation. To say nothing of the barely contained rage sizzling under his skin, that he kept hidden behind a mask of hostile apathy.
