51 Magic and Weapons

(POV Shizuku)

While Azi is making the weapon's base, Astra is teaching me how to use magic. "So what you want to do is to feel mana. Not chakra. Mana. It should have a different feeling here I'll give you some magic."

She touched my bare shoulder and send some mana. "Woah.. That's different.. Chakra feels more to nature and this feels more... magical? I don't know how to explain it but it's like chakra is the peanut butter and mana is the jelly."

"Good thing your half nekoshou, because in theory you should be able to use both." I nodded. "Now what?" She hold her palm out and made a fireball. "You need to imagine what happens. It's like logic. 'If I do this, it will burn' but instead of you using something else you would be using mana."

'So.. similar to magecraft but without restrictions? Got it.' I hold out my palm and visualize. 'Element Fire, Shape ball, Properties floating, explosive, burning, controllable.' A fire ball appeared on my palm.

I looked at the burning ball and control it to hit the back of the dummy. *Boom* I looked at the back and saw a big dark mark on it's back. "I DID IT! It's not so hard. I guess using chakra."

I looked at Astra who has her mouth wide opened. I looked at her weirdly, "What?" She shook her head, "This went out of my expectations. How did you control it? Because my thought process when making this is, Change Mana to Fire, Shape it into sphere, then make it a fireball..."

'She doesn't add properties?' "You don't add anything to it?" She shook her head, "That's what I've been taught. Well, they say everyone has different mindset for magic. Some even use something very perverted like red panties for fire or blue panties to make water."

'I can see canon Issei being like that.' "Hahahahaa!! Who does that?!" She sighed, "My father." I stopped and looked at her in pity but also in shock, 'Wait, a fallen and a high ranking in grigori... a perverted person as a father.. Is she Azazel's daughter?! The man finally fucked up and made someone pregnant?!'

'This also means something ine the world changed too..' "Oh.. Well he sure is something. Hehe... Well anyways what now?" She began to teach me the elements and different type of magics.

"I see... Okay let me try." I aimed my palm at the dummy. 'Elements wind, lightning, and ice, Shape spear and tornado, properties homing, piercing, lightning speed, electrocution, and freeze.' I made an ice spear on my hand but it broke seconds later.

"... Did I add too much?" "What did you add?" "Wind, lightning and ice, making it a spear and a tornado making it spin, making the properties homing, piercing, lightning speed, electrocution, and freeze."

"Hm.. Okay imagine a sword. A very normal sword. What happens if you add too much chakra in it?" It breaks... "It breaks so I would need a stronger ice." She smiled and nodded. I looked at the dummy again.

'Element ice, ice, ice, wind, lightning. Shape spear, tornado. Properties homing, piercing, lightning speed, electrocution, freeze.' A bluish ice spear appeared on my hand. I grabbed it and instantly threw it to he dummy. 'Fuck! I forgot to make it not hurt me! That's so fucking cold!'

The spear went straight to the middle with a tornado covering it. When it stabbed the dummy there was lightning comig out of the dummy and the spot around where It pierced froze. "HAHAHA!! I'M A-" before I finished my body became very tired.

Before I fell Astra catched me and slapped me on the head, "I didn't think that would work. Because if it did then I would have stopped you. The amount of magic you would need is much more than your normal chakra right? You should power your body with chakra because it's going to be weak for a few minutes."

"Ugh..." 'I feel so tired what the hell...' I powered myself with chakra to stand up. "Jesus Christ... That took a lot of mana... I almost fainted if it wasn't for my chakra..." She nodded and started writing everything down.

"So, my theory is that because magic would need one's imagination it would be using more mana the more you add or be more descriptive. You used chakra the same way however... Chakra is more about technique and how you do it while magic is all about one's imagination and logic."

I looked at my hand that is already regenerated, "I need to make sure to add 'doesn't effect the caster' in the future because that was cold as hell." She shrugged, "Well that's your fault. Also that's why most people just use magic circles and simple shapes like beams or spheres."

"You already have your experience in chakra. So your technique on using energy is already better than most. Now you would need to be more imaginative and be more efficient in magic."

I nodded but before I could say anything, Azi called us from her personal intercom. "I'm done... Come back..." We went to the blacksmithing room and saw the finished base. "That's great! Now... how are we suppose to make from this to that?"

She looked at Astra and she nodded. "Usually Reshaping, structural, and echanting magic should work." Wait.. "If you had reshaping magic then why would Azi-san make it bare hand?"

She sighed, "Reshaping magic is a very hard type of magic to use. You would need to know the insides and outsides and it must be specific. One mistake and boom it's dead. After that I would need to use structural magic to make the system inside of the sword. Then I would need enchanting to customize it. Like making it from a normal sword into a fire sword."

"She making the base and everything to save time and lessen the burden for me." I nodded at her words. 'That's smart... I guess this is the more efficient way they thought of after all those weapon making.

"Also because of it's size and shape it's simpler than a gun. The smaller it is, the more concentration I would need to make the things inside and out. Now give me some silence because I'm going to be making it." We nodded and left the room.

"So.. What now?" I look at Azi waiting for an answer. She stayed silent and looked at me. "We could try making weapon ideas." I thought about it and nodded, "Ok sure we should."

We went to the designing room and she took a pen and notebook. "Volume 74... You have a lot of them...." She nodded, "Although we have ideas. The man power and rescources are limited to both of us. So most of them we never actually make it."

She pointed at the computer. "We use the notebooks as an idea book. Once we write down all the ideas, we choose the ones that will actually be good and put it on the computer."

"The computer will then make a simulation of the ideas and will give out reports on how good it is in normal situations people will meet. Were not making it to universal level. Just a high-class devil as a max."

"After it's done we check on the things aand we chose the things that are better. For example there is Cold Flame spear and Storm spear. Which one does better in most fighting simulation."

"Most of them failed but there are good ones that come like the one you saw in the armory." "Wait you know what I did in the armory?" "Of course I know. The cameras sees everything and the A.I. will write notes about what you have been doing in there."

"Anyways, Dirty Diana is one of our success weapons that are very good. We still need a good soul for it before making it an artificial Sacred Gear." Then I thought 'How the hell are you suppose to put a soul in a weapon? Do you just stuff it in or do some ritual?'

"The easiest way of making an artificial sacred gear is to put a sealed being and connect it with the gear. But for Diana we would need to make it seal in the gun itself. After that we connect it to the person's soul."

"Did you just-" "Yes. It's written all over your face. Now how we would connect it is by a string. Multiple just in case. It has disadvantages and advantages of its own."

"One of the advantages you would get, would be not dying if it were to be disconnected but will hurt really bad. It will also act as an expendable for your soul."

"One of the disadvantages you would get, would be your sacred gear will be easier to be taken than an actual sacred gear. But that only happens if someone were to make the ritual which takes a long time because of the tedious work you would need to get it done correctly."

"There are more things to discuss but I'm to lazy. Let's just write ideas and be done with it." With that, me and Azi wrote all the ideas we can get. I also use other anime items to make the options wider.
