Takeout

It took Yuki and Trivy approximately thirty minutes to arrive back at the suburban cubicle that mirrored almost every other home on that street they call home.

Yuki opened his vanilla door, the only thing on the home that gave it an identity that separates it from its neighbors, to a pile of unopened mail that mountained over his artistic and filthy welcome mat.

Yuki's home wasn't a home that would describe his character, yet perfectly describes his father, so every time he entered it, it was a reminder of him.

The dark forest green sofa that was centered perfectly across from a vintage box television and that parallel line was broken by a handcrafted wood coffee table.

The kitchen is in view from the entrance to the home, where you can see a marble island, as well as the caramel cabinets. The inside had much more character than the outside, also known as, the vanilla door.

There was also a staircase in sight from the door, but only on a certain angle, only if you knew the staircase to be there, then you would locate it.

It looked as if it were hidden, but nothing more than an indent between the kitchen and the living room.

"You should really pick up the mail, it's been there for over a week now."

Trivy takes a second look at the mail, slowly picking up dust as it sat there, and will continue to do so for probably another week.

"Eh… Why don't you do it" Yuki replied.

Trivy looks at Yuki as if he were mocking him.

"You know it's too heavy for me!"

"Oh… yeah, right"

Yuki throws his bag on the floor near the door and slouches onto the Couch. He groans out as his spine was slowly being swallowed by the moldy couch.

Yuki grabs the water-stained television remote from the couch and turns on the television.

"BREAKING NEWS: Explosion at Power Plant in Block C."

"Mitch, we're reporting live from the scene! We have first responders here talking about just what they saw when they arrived at this sea of fire!"

"Who watches news…"

"I do…" Trivy is sitting on the other side of the couch.

Yuki flips the channel, in search of finding something more amusing.

"Gravity Man!!" "Zoom to the stars!!"

"Last week on Gravity Man! Gravity Man finally faces off with Tremor! The elusive villain finally meets his match!!"

"What else is on…"

"What?! You're going to change Gravity Man?!"

"I saw that episode already…"

"So… it's awesome…" Yuki swiftly flips the channel again as Trivy mutters his words out.

"Jerk…"

"The Kingship Nominees are finally here! They will have their debate tomorrow night! On one corner we have the current king of Kashitama, King Gerald, and kingship nominee, Alexander Magnus!"

"The people sure do love Magnus, huh?" the reporter said.

"Certainly! This should be the debate of the century!!"

Then suddenly the loud television set is interrupted by a growl, loud enough to screech through the walls of the home.

At first listen, you would think it to be a mother grizzly protecting its cubs, but Trivy knew what it was.

Trivy glanced straight at Yuki with anticipation of comically calling him out on his self-starvation, but instead, he let Yuki explain the sound that just emitted from his stomach.

"Pizza?"

"Get your lazy butt up! Didn't that therapy lady tell you to go out more?!"

"You were listening to our conversation??"

"Did you expect me to do nothing out there for an hour and fifteen minutes? Get some fresh air!"

Yuki sighs at the confrontation of actually having to pull his rear out of the dingy sofa.

"I guess I'll give outside a try…" Yuki gets up and slowly drags himself towards the door.

Yuki's home is still considered part of Block A, and near the very populated Star City, which gives Yuki an empty excuse as to why he couldn't go out of his shell for once.

Options for food were not a problem for Yuki as well as there are probably more than five different places that Yuki can purchase food in no less than one block away from Yuki's home.

Yuki, instead of sitting down to eat somewhere (which he clearly wasn't ready to make such a leap) decided to head straight for a local mini mart in search of a frozen meal.

As Yuki walked down the lively street that was two blocks away from his home, he wasn't aware of the darkness that lurked within his shadow.

A man, dressed well enough to make sure nobody gives him a second look as he was covered in the most favored color within a white-collar city and something that fit well as he lurked behind Yuki within the night.

"This is the first time he's been outside" The Man spoke, but no one was physically there to respond. He was speaking into a micro-earpiece designed for a task such as his.

Yuki entered the mini-mart, and the Man soon followed behind him.

Yuki, still unaware that he was being shadowed by someone he's never met, headed straight for the frozen foods, which were in the back of the store.

"Steak, Potato and corn meal or Chicken and rice meal… decisions, decisions." Yuki looked onto the only two options of something that would be considered a meal within the store, well, a meal that should be ready in no more than five minutes.

Yuki couldn't even lift the mail that was mounted to his rug, let alone cook himself a meal.

Yuki grabs the chicken and rice meal, since he wasn't such a huge fan of the steak flavored rubber meal, and headed straight for the front of the store.

The store clerk smiles at Yuki, as he hasn't seen him here in some time since the passing of his father.

"I haven't seen you in a while, How are ya?

"I'm Good, How much?"

"Oh, don't worry 'bout that, it's on me!"

"Oh... thanks."

Yuki exits the store a bit surprised that the Clerk gave the meal away to him like it was charity.

Yuki thought that maybe the old man felt bad for the pain he was going through and sympathized with him by giving him the free meal, not something that made Yuki proud, but nonetheless, he wouldn't want to go out of his way to reject the clerk's kindness.

Yuki's shadow remained within the store for a little longer.

"It appears he was buying a frozen meal."

The clerk notices the shadow peeking from behind one of the aisles.

Anyone who walked in the store would notice the 6-foot shadow trying to conceal himself in all black by hiding behind a white shelf in a brightly lit store, it's as glaring as a mustard stain on an all-white shirt.

"Oh! Do you need something?"

"I'll see if he's going to do something else…" the man ignores the clerk and continues to appear as if he were talking to himself.

"Sir??" the clerk is still confused as to who this man was talking to. The clerk began to question the sanity of the man hiding behind his shelf.

"My cover still hasn't been noticed, this kid is oblivious and unaware... I still don't know why we have to follow him…"

"Alright, I give you the go, capture the boy and bring him in." the earpiece finally responded to the empty reports made by the shadow.

"On it."

"Excuse me! Sir!" the clerk shouted at the man in frustration that he was being ignored by a suspicious individual who didn't seem like he was going to purchase anything anytime soon.

The man's attention finally draws itself to the clerk, and they reach a subtle understanding of eye contact.

The man then forces a smile and directs it towards the Clerk, a smile so obviously forced that it seems that the man knew nothing about human emotion and just learned how to express such pleasantries yesterday.

"Oh. Sorry to waste your time."

"Huh?" The man exits the story as the clerk remained clueless as to why this lug was currently in his store.

"That was weird…"
