15 Eclipse

After absorbing the prisoner's soul and adding the shards, Lucas gazed up at the sky, noticing the invisible shield of mana starting to dissipate as the shield's creator met his end.

Turning to his servants, he commanded, "Dispose of their bodies in the woods, but not too close. I don't want Ella to come across their remains, although she'll have to adapt to this new reality."

He continued, "The shield is down, and the sky is clearing. We should leave now." With that, he began walking back toward the cabin.

However, a howl from the forest caught his attention, growing louder and closer.

Lucas pivoted, a look of shock and alertness on his face. "What was that just now? Monsters? But my undead has already cleared the nearby monsters."

Just as he was processing the mysterious sound, Ella suddenly emerged from the cabin's gate.

Concern in her eyes, she turned to Lucas and inquired, "Oppa, what was that noise? It sounded like some kind of monster."

Seeing her outside, Lucas quickly called out to her in urgency. "Ella, go back inside, and don't let anyone else out until I say so."

Ella, torn between wanting to help and the danger of the approaching howls, hesitated. "But I can assist," she protested.

Recognizing the urgency, Lucas firmly pushed her inside while closing the door. "Go inside now," he insisted, his voice filled with concern and determination.

As Lucas secured the cabin door and turned to face the ominous howling, his rebar held firmly in his hand, the monstrous roars drew nearer, sending shivers down his spine.

He knew he had to act swiftly to protect his sister and the group he had rescued.

The eerie moonlight cast its pale glow on the surroundings, revealing the damp and foreboding atmosphere that now surrounded them.

Lucas's eyes flickered with a mix of resolve and unease as he assessed the situation.

With a commanding tone, he ordered his servants, "The shield is down. All the other servants outside, come here now and encircle the cabin. Form a protective barrier. Lizardmens and hobgoblin, stay with me to face the monster."

Lucas stood there in full alertness, his undead servants responding to his orders, gathering around the cabin to create a defensive perimeter.

Their hollow eyes locked in the direction of the howling, ready to confront whatever threat was approaching.

Lucas closely hearing the sounds whispered to himself, "Here it comes."

From the left side of the cabin entrance, emerging from the forest, a monstrous creature leaped into view.

It resembled a wolf but stood on two legs towering up to 17 ft, its mouth, and claws stained a gruesome red, unmistakably soaked in blood, with the silvery fur from head to toe glinting under the moon's light.

Lucas's analytical instincts kicked in, and he retrieved vital information from the system.

[Level - 32]

With determination etched in his features, Lucas muttered to himself, "A D-class werewolf, this is going to be a challenge, it must have been attracted by the smell of blood, I was careless."

He knew that while his undead minions were formidable, facing a creature of this caliber would test their mettle.

Still, gripping his rebar tightly, he thought to himself, "I have to do it. I have to find a way to defeat this creature and protect Ella."

The silver werewolf stood there, its mighty frame exuding power.

It howled, the sound echoing through the area like the battle trumpets of an impending war.

Its blood-red eyes fixed upon Lucas and his undead as it advanced on the damp ground, making large splashes—a formidable opponent, ready to engage in a perilous clash.

The eerie moonlight cast an otherworldly glow upon this ominous battlefield, intensifying the tension in the air.

Lucas knew he needed a plan to slow down the advance of the silver werewolf. Looking down at the ground, he muttered, "I have to slow down its movement."

With quick thinking, he ordered the smaller reanimated creatures that he had created upon entering the forest. "Snake undead, wrap around its legs and lower, and bite it to inject poison, while others attack him until the end."

Hearing his command from the shadowy corners of the forest, the undead venomous horned snakes, undead Magoria giant squirrels, and undead carnivorous rabbits, slithered and hopped toward the approaching werewolf.

Following his command, the horned snakes hissed and lunged at the silver werewolf, their sharp fangs bared. They aimed to wrap around its legs, attempting to hinder its mobility with venomous bites.

The werewolf, taken aback by the sudden assault, reacted as the undead snakes started climbing its tall frame, wrapping around it and delivering venomous bites.

Meanwhile, the Magoria giant squirrels, agile and quick, scurried up the trees and pelted the werewolf with acorns and small branches.

The carnivorous rabbits, known for their sharp and mutated poisonous fangs, lunged at the werewolf, biting and chipping away the flesh little by little at its heels and feet.

With the silver werewolf hindered by the venomous snakes wrapped around its legs, it lashed out wildly with its claws.

The venom seeping into its system had started to take its toll, slowing the creature down slightly, but it was still a formidable adversary.

Lucas, seizing this opportunity to launch his offensive, pulled his hood over his head and issued commands to his undead minions.

"Three lizardmen, stay here and guard the cabin with your life. The rest, come with me. Shamans, use your supportive magic on us, and hobgoblins, attack from the other side and take its attention away from us."

The remaining undead lizardmen followed Lucas, forming a protective line, prepared to engage the werewolf if it approached them.

Meanwhile, the shamans channeled their magic, reinforcing the group with haste and strength-boosting spells.

The hobgoblin, following his orders, engaged the werewolf from the right, wielding a spiked stone baton.

However, the large claws and species difference took a toll on him as he did his best to distract the formidable creature.

Seeing the opportunity approaching, Lucas said, "Now!" and sprinted toward the werewolf. The creature noticed him coming but was still engaged by the hobgoblin as instructed.

Closing the distance, Lucas gave a signal. The lizardmen, grotesque in their appearance, lunged at the werewolf with terrifying force.

With a series of rapid and coordinated strikes, they aimed to disable the creature from two fronts, further reducing its mobility and strength.

Making verberating sounds of claws clashing with the swords "Clang Clink".

The silver werewolf, now under assault from multiple angles, struggled to fend off the venomous snakes, the enhanced undead minions, and the relentless attacks from the lizardmen.

Its once-proud demeanor began to waver.

Lucas, taking advantage of the situation, rushed forward with his rebar held high. His green-flamed eyes blazed with determination as he struck at the creature's legs.

With a precise and powerful blow, he aimed to cripple the werewolf and bring it to the ground.

The silver werewolf howled in agony as the rebar struck its legs, severing tendons and flesh. It collapsed onto its knees on the rain-soaked ground, its struggle intensifying.

Seeing an opening, Lucas ran forward, his rebar held high. He used his shadow ability to move between the shadows with increased speed, leaping onto the shoulder of his undead lizardmen.

From there, he launched himself toward the silver werewolf's head.

As he descended, the eerie green flames in his eyes flickered with anticipation.

He swung his rebar with a smooth motion and muttered, "Soul infusion."

At his command, ten soul shards were utilized, infusing the rebar with a surge of energy.

The silver werewolf, with its claws preoccupied in combat with the relentless undead minions, saw the rebar descending.

However, it was too late to react as the rebar struck down with incredible force.

The rebar connected with the silver werewolf's head, resulting in a gruesome and brutal impact making a loud sound, followed by a surge of blood, splurting on Lucas.

The mixture of the enhanced weapon and the soul-infused strike proved devastating. The creature's head caved in upon itself, and its wails were silenced in an instant.

The silver werewolf, defeated and lifeless, fell to the ground with a resounding 'thud'.

Lucas, his weapon still raised, covered in werewolf blood stood atop the victorious field, his green-flamed eyes ablaze with the thrill of the battle, as he was smirking.

Breathing heavily, Lucas placed his hand on his chest, feeling his heart still pounding with adrenaline, covered in the werewolf blood.

His attention shifted to his surviving undead minions, their forms still lingering amidst the eerie moonlight.

As he reflected on the intense battle, he muttered to himself, "That was a tough fight. If I didn't have the undead, I would have died for sure."

With these thoughts swirling in his mind, Lucas began walking back towards the cabin, leaving the lifeless silver werewolf corpse behind.

The rain washed away the traces of the battle as he made his way.

Yet, as he moved away from the fallen creature, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease as he had a realization.

He muttered to himself, "Wait, why didn't I get a system notification for killing the werewolf? Don't tell me..."

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and turned back to look at the lifeless werewolf. A sense of disbelief washed over him as he exclaimed, "Uh, don't mess with me."

Turning around to look back at the site where he had left the lifeless silver werewolf, Lucas was met with a perplexing sight.

The creature's body, once defeated and lifeless, was twitching. His blood, which had spilled onto the ground, was inexplicably retracting inside the wounds.
