6 Chapter 6: Ividica Town
Author's note: I am changing quotes that are each a paragraph so that the name is in parentheses after the quote. For example:
"Hello."(Lloyd)
We stuck by the road, so we were luckily able to make it to town without being attacked. As we approached the gates, I could not help but stare in awe. It was much bigger than the village he was at before.
As we came closer to the gates, the knights guarding the town approached us. "Halt! Show me your identification!", he said.
Gina merely flashed her adventurer's card to get herself in. She then whispered something in the knight's ear. I have no idea what she said, but I was allowed to enter.
"To the Adventurer's Guild!"(Gina)
"Yeah"(Lloyd)
As we walked down the street we saw numerous shops and such.
"Piping hot takoyaki! Only 3 coppers for six!"(Vendor)
"Welcome to Ividica! Would you be interested in buying some fresh fruit?"(Fruit vendor)
A man approached us asking if we wanted to purchase fruit. He had very tan skin and dark brown hair, as well as huge muscles as if he were a pro wrestler.
"Were you once an adventurer?"(Lloyd)
"No, I was actually a mechanic up in Autumn City a while back. They cut me and a whole other bunch of people a few months ago. Name's Harold. If you ever want some fresh fruit be sure to come here, okay?(Harold)
"Okay."(Lloyd)
"Alright Lloyd, we'd better get going."(Gina)
There were many other friendly shopkeeps like that, so Gina eventually had to take charge. As she took me by the hand and led me through the crowds, I couldn't help but blush.
Eventually, we made it to the Adventurer's Guild. As Gina opened the doors, we were met with a commotion. There was a girl with short, blue hair arguing with one of the other adventurers. She was a bronze adventurer and he was a silver adventurer.
"Can't you see that I'm your superior, brat? So just submit, and we can have tons of fun together... hehehe.."(Silver Adventurer)
"Get away from me, creep!"(Girl)
It was then that he reached out to grab her, and without thinking, I jumped in and threw my fist at the guy. He fell over but quickly got back up.
"Oh, now you're in for it!"(Creep)
He lunged at me at a quick speed. I knew I was about to be in a world of hurt, but then something jumped in front of me. I looked up to find the bartender in between the creep and me.
The bartender dealt with the creep quickly and then all went back to normal.
"Sorry about the trouble. So, what can I do for you?"(Bartender)
"Um-I was actually hoping to register to be an adventurer."(Lloyd)
"Well well! Then come on over to that omnistone and we'll get you all fixed up."(Bartender)
"Can you explain the other stats to me?"(Lloyd)
"Well, the other two stats are endurance and luck. Endurance determines how much health one has and luck determines drop rate. Average luck is about 5. 10 Luck is good, while 20 is amazing. Luck doesn't grow like the others, however. You also have two divine gifts. These can be either hurtful or helpful. Lastly, the stone will tell you your recommended class."(Bartender)
I placed my hand on the Onmnistone, and it displayed my stats.
