Chapter 37: Eisenwald

After an hour, all three of them gathered at the station. Natsu didn't want to bring Lucy since it was pretty much overkilling with him here. Erza was a lot stronger than her anime counter-part due to continually going on challenging quests. Gray was also a lot stronger than before. He trained hard daily to become an S-class mage and shorten the distance between their power.

Natsu carried all his luggage inside his storage. Gray had a small suitcase with him, whereas Erza carried a cartload full of baggage with her. Her re-quip magic doesn't allow her to store any stuff other than weapons and armor.

All three of them boarded the train to Oshibana Town. The journey was silent. Nobody spoke anything on the way. Natsu was feeling pretty uncomfortable on the train, so he didn't want to talk to others. Gray was scared of Erza, so he kept quiet, whereas Erza was pretty uncomfortable with Natsu's presence.

She wanted to break the silence, so she started talking about the mission details. Natsu also listened, perking his ears. Even though he already knew all the details from the anime, he wanted to make sure nothing is different than the canon. After making sure everything was similar, he acted like dozing off.

After arriving at their stop, Erza and Gray left the seat and boarded off the train. Natsu didn't want to waste his time searching for Lullaby when there's a chance to obtain it so quickly. He intentionally displayed his guild symbol to bait Kageyama, the user of shadow magic.

Just like he thought, Kageyama approached him after seeing his guild mark. He took the seat opposite to the Natsu's seat and said while smiling, "A legal guild, huh… I really envy you guys."

Just as he was about to keep on blabbering more nonsense, Natsu punched him straight at the face knocking him out. "Of course you envy us. I'd be weird if losers didn't envy the winners. Life isn't a fair game, after all. Thanks for saving my time."

Then Natsu tied him up using a strong rope and put magic-canceller handcuffs on his hands. He put a note on his body and told the train inspector to give to his friends when they arrive. He put the cursed magic item, i.e. Lullaby, inside his storage.

"It's time to infiltrate their guild. It's time for the Transformation Jutsu!" muttered Natsu, acting like a shinobi while casting the transformation magic. It is simple magic that anyone can cast with practice.

"Poof!"

Natsu was covered by smoke, and when the smoke cleared, there was a doppelganger of Kageyama. Nobody can distinguish between the fake and the real Kageyama now.

"My disguise is perfect. It's time to infiltrate Eisenwald," said Natsu leaving the train. He arrived at the Town station and saw that it wasn't occupied by the dark guild yet.

While he was checking out the station, a guy with a scorpion tattoo on the neck approached him and said cautiously. "You're finally here, Kageyama. Erigor-sama was pretty mad waiting for you. You better have brought the item otherwise get ready to be punished. "

Natsu mimicked Kageyama's voice using magic and answered in a low voice. "Don't worry; I've brought the item with me. Just lead me to the guild. I don't want to let anyone see us. I'll follow you while keeping watch behind."

"Okay, Let's go then." said the guy leading Natsu toward their guild. Natsu acted like a paranoid person looking out for everything making the guy roll his eyes.

They soon arrived at the guild building. It was pretty far away from the town. Everyone greeted them when they entered the building. Natsu returned their greeting casually while holding his bag tighter. He just looked like a rich man acting that he was going to get robbed.

Soon, Erigor arrogantly approached them holding his signature scythe. He was proudly followed by his henchmen looking down on the other members.

Erigor was an extremely tall, lean-built and yet mildly muscular man with silver hair, which is held pointing upwards in spiky strands on top of his head, but hangs down to the left of his face in a distinctive tuft, sometimes partially covering it, and reaching down to his shoulders. His eyes are dark, and he has an elongated face with sharp features and somewhat pointed ears but seems to lack eyebrows. His eyes are circled by dark lines, and each of them has a simple tattoo right below it, consisting of a pointed line going down vertically, crossed with two more, larger horizontal lines. The upper part of his body is similarly tattooed, but with much larger, intricated and blue-colored motifs, which take on spiraling forms, and adorn his shoulders, biceps, pectorals, and back.

"Kageyama, you're finally here! How dare you make me wait for so long! I hope you have brought me the item; otherwise, I'll break all your bones." said Erigor, proudly holding his scythe.

"Erigor-sama, I'm sorry to make you wait for so long. Of course, I've brought the item with me. There was small trouble on the way, so I was a bit late to arrive." answered Natsu, acting like a scared kitten, making others give him a disdainful look.

"Finally! Now I can kill all those old geezers. How dare they make our guild illegal Give me that item. I want them to hear the accursed melody of Lullaby for the last time, haha…" said Erigor laughing arrogantly. The henchmen also laughed following after him.

"O-Of course. Here is the item you asked," said Natsu approaching Erigor timidly while bringing out the Lullaby.

Lullaby was a creepy looking flute. Its size was nearly 50 centimeters in length. It has a skull with three eyes on one end, and an oval-like cutout in the skull's brow. On the other end, there are root-like cutouts.

Erigor's eye shined, watching the accursed item. He let his guard down completely when Natsu approached him slowly.

"Give it to me quickly. I can't wait to test this," shouted Erigor impatiently. The other members were also excited to see the power of the infamous flute of death.

Natsu arrived in front of him and held the flute, trying to give it to Erigor but made a shocked face suddenly while exclaiming, "Look! There's a U.F.O there!"

Erigor unconsciously turned his head toward the direction. Everyone else also followed the path but saw nothing there.

*Bam*

Natsu knocked Erigor's head forcefully with the cursed flute. Erigor was knocked out with a single hit on his head with his eyes rolling up and tongue out.

Everyone was stunned watching this. They never expected someone to attack their boss in such a sneaky manner.

Natsu undid his transformation and pressed his feet on Erigor's while looking at them arrogantly while saying out loud. "It's time for robbery."

"..."

Every member of the Eisenwald guild was not sure how to respond to this. They just stared at him like an idiot.
