3 C2 Training

In exchange for your power stones, I give you yet another riddle. A farmer in California owns a beautiful pear tree. He supplies the fruit to a nearby grocery store. The store owner has called the farmer to see how much fruit is available for him to purchase. The farmer knows that the main trunk has 24 branches. Each branch has exactly 12 boughs and each bough has exactly 6 twigs. Since each twig bears one piece of fruit, how many plums will the farmer be able to deliver? Enjoy the chapter!)

The next day Naruto got a delivery of scrolls, books, and a list of books in the library to read. He also got a pass for the library because he would need a guardian accompanying someone his age. The first thing he did was read the chakra for beginners' books. Chakra is a combination of spiritual and physical energy. Physical energy is collected from each and every one of the body's cells and can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. Spiritual energy is derived from the mind's consciousness and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience.

What Naruto has to do is sense the chakra in his body and mold them together. He sat down, crossed his legs, cleared his mind, and tried to sense toward his stomach where chakra is stored. After 20 minutes of meditation, he could already feel it and mold it. Now that he had access to his chakra he opened his window and grabbed a leaf from a nearby branch. Naruto sat in his meditation pose again and place the leaf on his forehead. Holding the leaf in place with his pointer finger he closed his eyes and molded his chakra. Directing it to his forehead and then the leaf to stick it in place.

The leaf blew off his forehead many times due to using too much chakra. He slowly got better and by the end of the next day, he mastered the leaf exercise. Naruto also found time to practice hand signs. He's not fast at the moment, but with more practice, he will master it. Hand signs are used in conjunction with chakra in order to produce jutsu. The better chakra control he has, the less chakra he will waste when using jutsu. Some jutsu will fail if you use too much or too little chakra.

Now that Naruto has mastered the leaf exercise, its time for tree climbing. Naruto made his way toward the training ground by his apartment. Training ground 17 wasn't that small, so it should do fine for now. This training involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of the feet and using that to climb a tree without using hands. If it's too weak you won't stick, and if it's too strong you will be pushed off.

Naruto decided to do it differently than in the story. What they did is run up the tree to get a boost and then try to stick. Naruto is going to lay at the bottom of the tree with his feet stepping on the trunk. Before trying to walk up the tree, he moves chakra to his feet and tries to find the right amount to use. Moving his foot on and off the trunk seeing if it sticks over and over. His feet would be pushed off most of the time, but he was getting it. After an hour of that, he decided to start walking. He took 3 steps before he used too much chakra and fell.

It took naruto 5 days to master the tree-climbing exercise. Now it was time to learn shadow clones. Hiruzen was sitting on the couch in his office smoking his pipe and reading icha icha paradise. His clones at his desk filtering through his paperwork.

"Hehehe, you dirty girl."

Naruto barged in and hiruzen put his book away quickly and silently. Naruto saw nothing as he was too excited.

"Jiji, check this out."

He walked to the opposite side of the room and started walking up the wall. Naruto turned his head to the Hokage with a bright smile plastered on his face.

"Congratulations Naruto you did it faster than I thought you would."

"Hehe, I worked hard on it, thanks." Scratching the back of his head and smiling in embarrassment.

Hiruzen signaled the ANBU to leave, and a clone at the desk activated the privacy seal. Naruto sat down on the couch across the Hokage. Hiruzen puts two scrolls on the table a big one and a small one.

"The small scroll is the shadow clones jutsu. While the big scroll is something I was going to wait to give you, but I changed my mind."

"What is it?"

"Its a storage scroll left for you by your parents. It has a blood seal on it, so only you can open it. Your parents also left you their house and a good amount of money. I can't give you either yet though. Many people know where your parents lived, and the bank account can be tracked. People would connect the dots and you already look exactly like Minato with whisker marks."

Naruto pocketed the two scrolls with a smile on his face.

"Thanks, Jiji I'll open them when I get home. The house and money can wait, I'm more focused on getting stronger so I can protect my precious people. While I'm here, can I ask for another favor?"

"Sure, what do you need?"

"Two things, can I have chakra paper to test my affinity, and can you get me a meeting with Might Guy?"

"The chakra paper is easy I'll give it to you now. My guess is you want to talk to Guy about taijutsu?"

One of the clones walked over and handed naruto a piece of paper.

"Thanks."

"Yes he's supposed to be the best and I would like him to help me a bit."

Hiruzen nodded and the clone turned off the privacy seal. The ANBU came back into the ceiling and hiruzen called one. "Tora" Instantly an anbu with a tiger mask appeared next to the Hokage kneeling.

"Yes, Hokage-sama?"

"Inform Might Guy to come to my office"

Tora flickered away.

"That was so cool, dattebayo!" Naruto exclaimed.

3 minutes later, the door slammed open and Guy came flying in. "DYNAMIC ENTRY!"

"Hokage-sama" he bowed his head slightly. The Hokage sweat dropped while naruto giggled by the side.

"Hello, Guy. I called you here because young Naruto here would like to speak to you about taijutsu."

"Such a youthful child wishes to know about taijutsu?"

"Yes, I would like to ask a few questions and get some pointers if you don't mind."

"I don't mind fanning your flames of youth." He says and gives Naruto a thumbs up.

"Thank you. I have a few scrolls with katas and I was wondering if you could help me choose where to start? Also if you could show me some stretches and training exercises?"

"Alright, let's meet tomorrow at 6 am bring your katas. Where should we meet?"

"Training ground 17. I have permission to use it."

"If that is all I must be going. My eternal rival and I have a fight today and it would be most unyouthful to be late."

Guy bowed his head to the Hokage and left. Naruto ran up to the Hokage and gave him a hug.

"Thanks for that gramps. I wanted to start my physical training and katas, but I wasn't sure where to start."

Hiruzen smiled and ruffled his hair, getting an annoyed look from Naruto in return.

"Don't worry about it just go home and get a good rest tonight. Guys training is very tough after all."

Naruto went home and immediately opened his parent's scroll. He bit his finger and wiped the blood on it. Seals appeared and faded away. Naruto unraveled the scroll and in a puff of smoke 2 letters, a worn notebook, and 6 scrolls labeled ninjutsu, fuinjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, bukijutsu, and bloodlines. Naruto opened the first letter.

'Dear Naruto,

If you're reading this then I'm dead. A couple of months into your mother's pregnancy we decided to make this for you. Anything can happen and being a ninja isn't a safe line of work. I don't know what to say except I'm sorry. Sorry for not being there for your first steps and words. Sorry for missing your birthdays and wedding or meeting my grandkids. I hope you never have to read this and we're just being paranoid, but better safe than sorry. This scroll is filled with all the jutsu and seals we've collected or created through the years. There's also my jutsu idea notebook and a scroll explaining the bloodlines of the Uzumaki and Namikaze. I just want to let you know that your mother and I love you very much. Don't ever doubt that.

Naruto had some tears in his eyes. He wiped them and opened the next letter. This letter contained photos of his parents.

'Dear Sochi,

Hello, my beautiful baby. I came up with the idea for this little gift for you. Your father would explain the contents of the scroll in his letter. I thought I would tell you about your father and I. I'm from the Uzumaki clan of the now destroyed Uzushiogakure. My home was a beautiful island surrounded by whirlpools. Your father is from the Namikaze clan a founding clan of Konoha. They were killed off during the 1st and 2nd ninja war leaving only him. Your father and I met at the academy, but we were just friends then. I was to focused on becoming the first female Hokage. Then one night a Kumo ninja kidnap me for my bloodline. I left a trail of my red hair for anyone to follow. Your father followed the trail and kicked the Kumo ninjas butt rescuing me. After we got together, we started calling my hair the red strings of fate. I'm sorry if I'm not there for you Sochi. I love you more than anything and I always will.

Wiping tears from his eyes, Naruto put the letters and pictures in his bedside drawer. He was happy that his parents loved him but sad that they died. Maybe he could bring them back to life? With his new-found knowledge, it could be possible. He would have to find a way to do the edo tensei, but he doesn't want to go kill people in order to bring them back. He would have to find his own way and maybe he could bring back the other Hokage before Orochimaru does. He would have to talk to Gramps about it.

Now it was time to work on the shadow clone jutsu. Unlike the clone jutsu, it makes a solid clone that dispels in one hit. After dispelling a shadow clone, the remaining chakra and memories return to the user. Training for 1 hour with 100 clones would equal 100 hours of training. Clones can be used to train anything except physical training, but they can do katas to get muscle memory. So Naruto decided he will make a training schedule. He will split the clones into groups to train while his main body does physical training.

It took him 5 hours to get the shadow clone jutsu down. He learned it faster than he thought he would. In the show, he learned it quickly as well, but by that point, he had some experience with other jutsu. The fact that he learned a B rank jutsu in 3 hours means the jutsu was practically made for him. He wanted to test how many clones he could make, but it was getting late and he was tired. The next day would be filled with bushy brows, bowl cuts, and green spandex. He needed his rest for that. Before going to sleep, he made some clones to clean the apartment. This place is a mess.
