70 Toneri

Saito was getting closer and closer to his destination, when he suddenly felt a huge increase in the amount of chakra, he could tell that one of them was slightly similar to the Otsusuki clan's chakra signal. He doesn't know who it is but he decided to wipe out that clan from existence leaving only the decedents. And just as he taught it was over the chakra signal fully changed becoming identical to an Otsusuki clan's chakra.

And when he finally reached his destination he felt another signal but this one was coming from the moon, after making sure that everyone was alright he decided to investigate. Once there he was shocked to find a huge underground city, and after looking around he finally reached his target standing in front a huge glowing orb formed by a huge number of Byakugans, a white haired boy as standing there observing on what looked like a screen made out of chakra the battle on the ground. Saito wasn't sure how he knew what was happening because after he scanned the boy he knew that he didn't have eyes. The boy suddenly turned around.

Boy: "Who are you?"

The boy was on guard ready to attack if Saito made a single wrong move.

Saito: "No one interesting. Just a normal human, you can call me Saito. More importantly who are you?"

Boy: "Toneri, but that doesn't answer my question no normal human should be able to reach hear without me sensing him."

Saito: "I'm a little special that it. Still why are you watching the battle. It shouldn't concern you a single bit. Seeing that you live on the moon?"

Toneri frowned a bit.

Toneri: "This is the sacred duty of the descendants of Hamura Otsusuki. To watch over the shinobi world and if they are deemed unworthy of the legacy left by Hagoromo Otsusuki we are in charge of raining judgement on them."

Saito: "I'm surprised you are willing to tell me this."

Toneri: "I somehow felt you are worthy of knowing this."

Saito: "So for now what is your judgement?"

Toneri: "The shinobi are selfish and are not deserving of the legacy left by Hagoromo, once the war is over I will follow the will of my clan."

Saito sighted he knew what Toneri was saying, humans by their nature are greedy and will use any means necessary to achieve their goals, the only difference between them is that some are willing to cross some lines that other wouldn't dare. But, that doesn't mean that there is no hope for them to redeem themselves.

Saito: "I know what you are saying, but believe me, humans are far more complicated than that. I admit that a majority tend to create disorder in order to reach higher power but I don't think that it's wise to judge the whole planet due to the deeds of some selected individuals. Many people are living their lives away from bloodshed and war, while some choose that path. I don't think that Hamura nor Hagoromo wished for the destruction of the shinobi nation if they went astray. I hope that you can give them another chance to redeem themselves, wars created so much hatred that it was close to impossible to mend the wounds. But from what I have seen after coming back, they finally united under one banner, and this is the first step towards change."

Toneri was in deep thoughts, he could see a point in Saito's words but he was still unwilling to believe in them.

Toneri: "Even after the war ends, they will still seek to use the Bijus for their own means."

Saito was observing the glowing orb with big interest, and without looking at Toneri he gave his answer.

Saito: "About that I already have an idea that could fix, that problem."

Toneri: "What's your solution?"

Saito: "I will make it impossible to seal the Biju and I will also break there link to the ten tails, making it impossible to recreate these atrocities. As for war amongst, I believe that the current generation should know more than anything about the value of union, and that not everything can be solved using bloodshed."

Toneri could still see flaws in his arguments, and just as he was about to talk. Saito turned to look at him.

Saito: "Humans are not perfect, that what gives their lives so much beauty. I believe you should take some time and go down there to live amongst them."

Toneri began pondering about Saito's suggestion, he alredy gave up on executing his plan but he couldn't make himself believe in humanity again. At least not easily.

Saito: "You can take your time. And experience what's it's like to live your own life. Ah and before that stand still for a minute."

Before Toneri could react Saito appeared in front of him and put his hand on his closed and empty eyelids. And just as he was about to attack he was shocked by what he felt.

Saito removed his hand.

Saito: "That should do it. I know that it's out of dedication that your clan did that but you can't live your life without seeing things with your own eyes."

Toneri opened his eyes and for the first time in years he saw something directly. He could feel the power coursing through him, and he was soon shocked to find that he had a Tenseigan.

Toneri: "How did you do that?"

What Saito did was closer to creation than regeneration.

Saito: "If you ask me what's my strongest ability the easiest answer will be Medical Ninjutsu. I spent my whole life training it so if I couldn't do something this simple, it would be a disgrace. Well Toneri, I will leave for now, it looks like they finished the battle. Come visit us sometime."

While he was talking with Toneri he was keeping an eye on the battle ongoing. With a wave of his hand he disappeared at high speed heading back to meet his friends.
