With the scroll in hand, I began to train and master the technique, without teaching Duy anything about the eight gates technique, as he would first have to double his current strength so that the first gate wouldn't kill him, in my case I didn't have to do that. The technique was fairly simple to master, in fact, all you had to do to master it was to have a strong enough physique not to die when using the technique.
Of course, the technique needed some training, but if you had a good body, mastering the first seven gates was an easy task, now… the eighth one, that one… was the tricky one. It required perfect control over your body, and years of training to open it.
In my case, in less than two months I had managed to open five out of the eight gates of death, the sixth, the seventh, and the eighth one were still out of my immediate reach mostly because I needed more training to master them, but even then, I estimated that in a year or two I would have this technique completely mastered.
"Sensei," Fugaku bowed, "I completed the training course you had me do today." Uchihas always so formal, and diligent.
"Perfect, now rest for a bit while I check on Nawaki," I ordered, as I flickered over where Nawaki was.
"Sensei!" Nawaki smiled, drenched in his own sweat. "How am I doing?" his training? A comprehensive course to master chakra control, for it, was the only way I would be able to entrust him some of my techniques that I had already mapped, chakra wise.
"Good, but you still need to focus on how your emotions affect the flow of your chakra," He still had a long way before I had the chance to teach him anything from my arsenal.
"Sensei!" Duy greeted me, his knuckles peeled showing a gory sight, as always he was overdoing his training, as it was the only way to reach the heights he wanted.
"You are getting closer," I smiled, a bit more and he would be able to open the first door without imploding from the sudden power burst, "Let me heal that for you," with a smile I used flash heal on him, healing all his wounds immedialty.
"This is our last week here right?" Nawaki asked.
"Yes, I have… exhausted all of our options to try and extend our stay, but the battlefront needs me," I sighed, "But this last few months have been quite good for us, you three are far stronger than when I first started teaching you."
"I can't wait to be in the front helping our forces!" Nawaki smiled, and immediately after I slapped him.
"War is no game, so stop being a glory-seeking idiot," Excitement over such a thing, I suppose this was the naivety of the young.
"I-I'm sorry," Nawaki said.
"There is no glory in war, nor happiness, only survivors and the corpses those left behind don't forget that," A never-ending cycle of futility.
"We do what we must for the sake of the Leaf," Fugaku who apparently had decided the rest I order him to take was optional said, as I glared at him, "I… I am resting sensei, I assure you…" hmm, I suppose talking can be considered a way of resting, you are safe for now Uchiha.
As my students talked, I felt as a chakra signature approached our location, one of Danzo's Anbu, "Senju Raiden, you and your team have been summoned to the front lines."

Huh, I was wondering when that quest was gonna pop, "Understood," In the end, it seemed like I wasn't going to be able to teach Duy how to open the first gate.
"You have one week to get your affairs in order," With that, the Anbu disappeared out of sight.
"A week he says," I smiled, maybe I did have the time to teach him, and more. "Meet me in two hours in training ground eight, I have a few things I will… lend you." With that said, I flickered back to my house, where I would craft some… useful items.

In my house, I started to craft items, a few dozen Flask of The Titans, to increase my genins HP for a somewhat long period of time, a few dozen Flask of Distilled Wisdom, to increase their chakra pools for a few hours, a few dozen Flask of Supreme Power to increase their overall power, and few dozen Flask of Chromatic Resistance to increase their resistance and a few dozen Flask of Petrification to save their butts in tricky situations.
All of this was rather expensive to craft. Not money-wise, time-wise, mostly because the ingredients needed for such items were… super hard to find, most of them were according to my gathering map in Suna and Iwa… so yeah.
I also crafted some potions both for HP and CHK, "Now, to craft some soulbond rings," the soulbond, something I thought I didn't have, was in fact there, but it was harder to craft that way, meaning a ring without soul binding properties was four times cheaper to craft than one with soul binding properties, something I had discovered after crafting my second set of armor, that was not soul bound because it would've been crazy expensive to craft it that way.
"Three Deadly Laestrite Bands should suffice," Three arguably strong rings, cheap to craft and easy to add soul binding properties, "This should suffice to keep the brats safe and above their level power-wise," In power terms, both Nawaki and Fugaku were high-level genins, with Duy being low-level genin, with this… they would all get to Chunin levels at the least.
