I don't know how it started or why, but a year after my fake wedding, some ninja from our village attacked Iwa, breaking the peace treaty. And now we were once again at war, what had me in doubt was that this incident happened all over the country, and we were the protagonists of this in every scenario, Iwa attacked Suna, Suna attacked Kumo, Kumo attacked Kiri, and so on, nobody knew who threw the first stone, only that we were at war.

Seventeen years old, and I was at war again, two wars in the span of my short life, it almost seemed premeditated somehow. But I had no proof or leads that hinted otherwise.

"Raiden," Hiruzen greeted me as he entered my house. That was an odd occurrence, normally he would summon me.

"What do you need Hiruzen, I am enjoying the last few moments of peace we have before I have to go and fight this war," Maybe my response was harsh, but I couldn't help it, I was angry with the world for how things were turning out.

"I know how you feel," Hiruzen sighed, his eyes showing the weight all of this was pushing on him, "I came here to ask you a favor."

"A favor?" What kind of favor would he need right now.

"I need you to take a genin team under you," Hiruzen said, "Senju Nawaki, Uchiha Fugaku, and Might Dai,"

"Are you out of your mind?!" I practically hissed, "I am a front liner, my field of expertise will put them in danger…"

"I know, but I also know you are the only one able to protect this team," I see, he wanted me to keep the only other descendent of Hashirama safe.

"A few years ago, I offered you something… something to protect the kids that Konoha shoves into the battlefield, and what did you do? Nothing!" I growled at his face, "Had you helped me get the materials and the money, our genin would have a better chance of survival… but like always you did nothing…" Was Danzo right? I was starting to think he was.

"I know, I should've focused on that, but I didn't," Hiruzen admitted, his tone sad and full of regret.

"I will take the team," I sighed, if I rejected this Tsunade would hate me forever, and so would Nawaki. "How old are the rest anyway, I know Nawaki is twelve, but the rest?"

"Uchiha Fugaku is ten, he is similar to you a prodigy, then there is Maito Dai, he is fourteen years old, and is also the dead-last of his class for five years in a row, he repeated the graduation exam multiple times and in the end, managed to graduate only using Taijutsu, but even on that his skills are below the average," Hiruzen answered, giving me their files.

"I will need a month at least off the field to give them some basic training," I informed him.

"I will give you the time you need," Hiruzen said.

"Very well, I will go and see them in person," I sighed.

"They are at the academy, waiting for you." Old bastard, he knew I was going to accept the professor my ass, more like the manipulator.

Taijutsu = 5/5

Genjutsu = 4.5/5

Intelligence = 5/5

Strength = 5/5

Speed = 5/5

Stamina = 5/5

Hand Seal = 5/5

Those were my shinobi scores, according to the Konoha databook, and they gave me a score of 39.5 out of 40, now… these scores were… Well, it was best if you didn't rely on them but they gave you a general idea of what you are dealing with and how strong someone is in general.

Might Dai - Genin - 14 years old.

Ninjutsu = 0/5

Taijutsu = 1/5

Genjutsu = 0/5

Intelligence = 1/5

Strength = 1/5

Speed = 1/5

Stamina = 1.5/5

Hand Seal = 0/5

Maito Dai - Total Score = 5.5 out of 40.

Uchiha Fugaku - Genin - 10 years old.

Ninjutsu = 3/5

Taijutsu = 3/5

Genjutsu = 2/5

Intelligence = 2/5

Strength = 2/5

Speed = 2/5

Stamina = 2/5

Hand Seal = 3.5/5

Uchiha Fugaku - Total Score = 17.5 out of 40.

Senju Nawaki - Genin - 12 years old.

Ninjutsu = 2/5

Taijutsu = 3/5

Genjutsu = 1/5

Intelligence = 1/5

Strength = 3/5

Speed = 2.5/5

Stamina = 3/5

Hand Seal = 2/5

Senju Nawaki - Total Score = 17.5 out of 40.

Might Dai, it almost sounded like Guy sensei, maybe he will father the green beast of the leaf. "Alright time to meet my genin team… yeih," I was not excited.

As I approached my genin team, I could see Fugaku arguing with Nawaki while Dai tried to cheer them up, with… youthful stuff.. Yeah, he is the father of Guy, "Hello brats, my name is-" before I could finish Fugaku interrupted me.

"Senju Raiden, the Undead Calamity of the leaf, you are well known across the nations, it is a pleasure to be under your care," Fugaku bowed, hm… I didn't know I had Uchiha admirers.

"Ni-san!!!" Nawaki grinned trying to hug me, but only received a kick to the face in return.

"I am not your family on the battlefield, I am your sensei, and your direct superior, on the field you will call me Sensei, is that clear?" I asked, and he nodded.

"A pleasure to meet you!" Dai smiled, giving me a firm handshake, "I know I am not the best at anything, but fear, not I will try my absolute best to help in every way I can, for I don't give up! So count on me!"

"Ok," Yeah he is Guy's father alright. "Now, how about you introduce yourselves to me, like this… My name is Raiden, my favorite food is Pizza, I love to read and I hate wasps… my dream is to stop wars and live a long boring but peaceful life."
