12 Sword fighting

It has been more than an year since Kodon and kumanoi clan's joint venture repelled the land of water. There are no more attacks from them. This is the time to strike them. I have to leave for the land of water as soon as possible. There is only one hindrance that halts me from leaving immediately, Renji.

"Hope you are ready with all tools and equipments. I will test your strength." He stood firmly in his battle attire. He wore a tight metal armour laced up with leather strips. His chest plate was decorated with colourful strings. Underneath he wore a black kimono.

I know what all this was about, 'Why will commander let me leave his army without collateral. Renji will be send with me to monitor. This will ruin my plans'

"Rheo this is the time to prove your strength."

'This is time for revenge.' I thought.

"Of course it is" I said with a murderous intent. I wanted to decimate him.

We both took the stands. My left hand was holding the scabbard while my other hand was on hilt of the single edged curve blade whereas Renji held his katana with both his hand in the front. One of the samurai under Renji was present as a referee. He was also with Renji during Roen's attack.

As soon as he said,"BEGIN!", I rushed towards Renji at high speed, I slashed at him from below unsheathing my sword from scabbard. He parried with his sword and repelled me backwards with a crescent of chakra(Flash technique). I was blown away due to the close range impact. I had a gapping wound my torso.

Regaining my balance, I quickly produced 10 clones surrounding Renji and followed it by throwing fuma shurikens I summoned by unsealing them from clothes wrapped around my hands. Renji jumped up to avoid fuma shuriken just to meet my Flash technique. He countered with his own Flash his his being wind release cut through mine and hit the ground.

*explosion*

He recognised me since other clones disappeared. I body flickered around him in an attempt to slash him but he blocked me every time. I summoned another sword and formed a chakra axes from them. I rushed at him again. Renji appeared in front of me and slashed his sword upward to slice me. I leaped backwards just to get cut in my left shoulder. With the axe in other arm I tried to jab it in. But he caught it with his hand. 'shit' and pulled me inward. We both took advantage of the moment and kneed eachother in the guts. I almost puked.

"Fight me with an intent to kill."

"I might just kill you" I said while I took some distance.

"No qualms." he regretted it later.

Suddenly Renji's eye were in disbelieve,"How did the bleeding stopped in your torso and shoulder so quickly, even the cut is joining together."

"Did you thought, if you wouldn't teach me I cannot learn. I strengthen my body with Yang release to boost its healing like you do." Though the most I could do was stop bleeding. He did the same but the cut in his hand from grabbing the sword also sealed(Recovered as in stitching up the wound)

I took a deep breath and without wasting time imbued the sword on my right hand and ditched the other. Look of confusion was on Renji's face. I channelled all my chakra in the blade and body flickering. 'Now or never.'

I rushed towards him. Renji retaliated with his own body flicker which was slightly faster than mine and jabbed his sword towards me. I took the blow in my left shoulder and his sword got struck in between shoulder blades and grabbed his right arm. The pain was excruciating but about nothing compared to what I did next. I pulled everything in my body in this last swing. Renji realized his situation and struggled to get away. Escaping, he tried to body flicker but at the last moment, all the chakra on my sword released a lightening style Flash as I swung upward and amputated his left arm.

This attack made a huge fissure in the cliff we fought on. Any more stronger, it could have split it in two parts. Referee was looking after Renji's cut off limb while I was on the ground. One would think that I was starved for a week such was my condition. Ribs were showing, there was no fat on the body, in short malnutritioned.

It has been a week since that battle. I was admitted to hospital afterwards. Renji also went through an arm reattachment surgery. His arm will never be as good again but he is making fast progress. He did not come to meet me once since untill now-

"Yo Rheo how are you?"

"Let me go already I am fine."

"Doctor said three more days."

"whatever"

"What was that technique you used in the end."

"You know how chakra can be used to heal and increase the extent of abilities."

"Don't treat me like a child, tell."

"Gezz, well I did the opposite I destroyed my body. This produced strong physical energy literally which turned into Yang release."

"That gave that last attack the push." He said while in disbelief. 'This kid is crazy.'

"That Flash attack could have been stronger if I had not covered it into lightning style. You would have escaped otherwise. I don't have necessary chakra control otherwise It could have been five times stronger."

"You really did go for the kill."

"....."

"Seriously, this is what I get after training you."

"Stop crying. I told you about this technique because I trust you a little."

"There was no chances of winning and Commander would have send you after me."

"Don't worry kiddo, I understand."

In these years I got close to him. He is the closest thing to a father. I did not want him harmed. But there are somethings that cannot be avoided.
