4 Adrenaline

The assessment of Sasuke's memories went better than expected. Inoichi was very gentle and professional while handling his memories and feelings. He took his time to analyze Sasuke's thought patterns and help him overcome the terror towards his brother. Inoichi barely touched the first layer of memories among the several that Sasuke had created. After 2 hours, the session ended.

"We have finished for today, Sasuke, and I want to thank you for your honesty and trust in me. I will talk with the Hokage and arrange our future weekly meetings. With the dedication you have shown, I can already tell that you are on your way to recovery," said Inoichi with a slight smile on his face.

Sasuke politely replied, "First and foremost, I wanted to apologize for my anger at the beginning of our conversation. I want to thank you, Inoichi, for your professionalism and politeness. You really know your craft. Also, before you leave, I have a request."

Inoichi nodded for him to continue.

"I would like it if you could tell me the criteria for restoring my clan."

"I expected you to ask that," Inoichi said immediately and continued, "For a clan to be established, you need a group of ninjas that have proven their loyalty to the village, and the group must have a level of military power capable of providing assistance to the village. This group then must be approved as a clan by the council. As an Uchiha, your clan has already fulfilled all these criteria. The conditions to restore your clan are that you must reach the rank of a jonin, and you must find other 4 members. As a missing nin, Itachi is not included in the clan, and he has lost his position as a family head."

Sasuke nodded with a thoughtful expression and said, "So that means I need to find 4 wives. Can the wives be civilians, or must they be ninja?"

"The original group of 5 must be ninjas as proof that your clan is militarily strong," Inoichi said.

"I know that I am handsome, genius, and rich, but I don't know if I can handle 4 kunoichi," Sasuke said with a small smile.

"Hahahah, I am truly glad that you can still have your sense of humor. Maybe our future sessions will be shorter than I originally thought," said Inoichi.

"Inoichi, I have to tell you something else, and it's about your family. It's a little strange subject to talk about, but I don't have any bad intentions," Sasuke said.

Inoichi's face turned serious, and he nodded for Sasuke to continue.

"In the academy, I have a fan club of girls that follow me everywhere…"

Inoichi smirked strangely. "Ino..."

Sasuke continued, "Ino is part of this club. As we have discussed, the restoration of my clan is one of my goals. I know that your daughter is your clan's successor and has to produce more successors for your clan, so I think that you should talk to her about this matter."

Inoichi nodded and said, "Thank you for the warning, Sasuke. You keep surprising me with your maturity. I will talk to my daughter. If she continues with her activities, please notify me in our next sessions."

After saying goodbye to Inoichi, Sasuke finally had permission to leave the hospital and took his way towards the Uchiha District.

Sasuke finally reached the Uchiha District. The previous Sasuke had several traumatic memories of this place, but now everything was as clean as if nothing had happened. 

Sasuke knew that right now he was considered a walking bomb to the village until his loyalty is proven. "The most probable scenario is that ANBU is watching my every move right now. I must not show more knowledge or power than normal. I have already shown to the Hokage that I am a genius and I have the memories of how Itachi performed. The maximum strength and intellect that I should show are at the same level as Itachi. But first things first, I need to visit the my clan's library and find more information."

As soon as Sasuke reached the library, he noticed that almost half the books were missing.

'I expected that. Hiruzen wants me to seek power through the village's proper and controlled channels. If I grow strong without the help of the village, the risk of my betrayal only grows.'

Sasuke was not disappointed or discouraged. He spent the next 8 hours looking through the summaries. He started categorizing the books into topics like politics, history, geography, ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, fuinjutsu. By the end of the day, he had checked about 20% of the books and noticed that all the ninja books were on foundational and beginner topics, as expected. He still didn't find any jutsu, but he was not disappointed. He knew from experience that the most important part of strength is the foundation. If you keep building your foundation again and again, one day you will reach the top without realizing it.

The next day Sasuke was informed by an Anbu that he had 1 week before returning to the academy. He spent the next 3 days finishing the categorization of the entire library. He also talked with Konoha's bank about his clan's accounts. After the merge of all the deceased Uchiha accounts, his account contained several billion Ryo. The wealth would be a great help for his future training.

The next day Sasuke finally starting reading books and his first choice was to learn everything about the Sharingan. He knew that he had to develop his Sharingan to 3 tomoe, and here Sasuke faced his first problem.

'The book says that for the Sharingan to evolve, I need extreme emotions. Most Uchiha evolve their Sharingan in life-and-death situations. This will not work for me. No matter what, I won't be able to reach this level of emotion even if I lose my life. Also, this is not scientific at all. The book describes examples of experiences, and they have one thing in common: elevated heart rate and this means high adrenaline.'

After reading all the books about Sharingan, Sasuke was sure that adrenaline was the answer. Immediately, Sasuke left and visited all the butchers in Konoha and made massive orders of cow's and pig's kidneys. The butchers were surprised, and when they asked him about the kidneys, Sasuke told them that they are used in an ancient Uchiha tradition to help the dead in the afterlife. After the mention of his dead clan, the butchers asked no more questions.

The next day, Sasuke received 1,000 kidneys. The first step was to remove the adrenal glands, and it took him several hours. After that, he used a giant professional blender that he took from one of the closed stores in the Uchiha district. After a few minutes, he managed to create a paste. Next, he created a mixture with acetone that he bought from the pharmacy. After that, he used several different filters to purify the substance as best as he could. In the final step, he used fire to raise the temperature and dry the substance. The result was a powder, which Sasuke saved in 5 bottles.

Sasuke knew that he was still being watched, so he gave a little show. At midnight, he went to the Naka Shrine and lit up 100 candles. He put a mirror in the middle of the temple and in front of the mirror he started shouting with his hands raised.

"I, Uchiha Sasuke, act according to tradition and I offer to you, my ancestors, 1000 kidneys as a token of respect. The kidneys symbolize temperament, prudence, vigor, and wisdom. I have purified my feelings, and now I ask for your help with our clan's greatest treasure as I return the feelings back to the source."

Immediately Sasuke opened a bottle and drank the powder together with water. His Sharingan turned on, and Sasuke watched his reflection in the mirror as his heart started pounding harder and harder. He watched his eyes evolving to 2 tomoe and then to 3 tomoe.

However, the quality of the adrenaline was terrible. Sasuke started to feel dizziness, but he couldn't show his weakness to the possible hidden watcher. He immediately said, "My ancestors, I thank you for your gift and I kneel in front of you."

Sasuke went into a kneeling position with his face hidden between his hands and the floor. Like this, he managed to hide his pained and distorted expression. At the same time, the Anbu with the rabbit mask who was watching the show was flabbergasted. He thought that the boy was crazy when he started the ceremony, but when he watched his Sharingan evolving, he stayed with his mouth hanging open. He immediately left to report to the Hokage.
