26 - 26 - First day

After several more days of training, it was finally time for the academy to start. Izuna woke up bright and early; the academy started at 8 am, so he had plenty of time to train.

The first thing he did was to complete his physical training, with and without chakra. After finishing, he knew it was time to go back home, eat some breakfast, then head to the academy for his first day. So, he left 7 clones behind to continue their training as long as they could. He left some to work on basic things like leaf concentration and elemental exercises, while others worked on jutsus.

When he got home, he ate breakfast with his parents. They had some small talk about school, then once he finished, he left for the academy.

As Izuna walked into the academy, he thought back to what his father had told him that morning. A little over 400 kids had passed the entrance exam, and they had been put into 9 different classes, with 8 having 50 students each and the 9th having 30 kids. The class with 30 kids was Izuna's class. It was Class 1-A, a special class for exceptional students.

He walked into the classroom and was met with several kids from different backgrounds.

He also learned from his father that he was one of the youngest kids in his class; there were two others like him, Fugaku and Minato, who were both 5 years old like him, while the other kids were a mix between 6 or 7.

This made Izuna think back to Itachi, who joined the academy when he was 4 years old.

Izuna chose a desk towards the back of the room, an observer's position, from where he could watch and learn from his peers. As he settled in, he took the time to survey his classmates. There were two Uchihas, himself and Fugaku. The esteemed Hyuga clan had four, while the Nara, Yamanaka, and Akimichi clans were represented by three students each, a reflection of their prominent status in Konoha. The Inuzuka and Aburame clans had two representatives apiece, while the Sarutobi, Shimura, Kato, and Hatake clans each had one. Remarkably, there were three students from the legendary Senju clan, a clan known for its foundational role in the establishment of the village. The Kurama clan, renowned for its unique genjutsu abilities, had one student, while the civilians were represented by three ninjas, Minato being one of them.

As the clock hit 8, the teacher walked in and said, "Alright, first I'll explain to you about your class's position. This year, a little over 400 students entered the academy. However, you 30 are the ones who have scored the highest. Everyone, including Lord Hokage, has very high expectations for each of you. All of you have to strive to become very strong shinobi. You will be provided with access to the academy library's E and D sections. Also, there will be special tests conducted for you every 6 months, which will be monitored by Lord Hokage himself. So, work as hard as you can."

He then said, "Now that that's out of the way, my name is Hiroto Takahashi. Due to this being a special class of elites, they have assigned me a special jounin to teach you all. Now, since it's the first day, I will give you a tour of the academy."

They went around the academy and were shown the classrooms, the library, the training grounds, and the canteen area. In the training grounds, various areas were shown like the running track, obstacle race track, shooting area, balancing area which had a lot of poles, and so on. There was also a small pond at the far end of the training grounds.

After the tour was over, Hiroto explained to them what all they'll be learning this year.

It seemed to mostly be basics. They were supposed to be taught about chakra, hand signs, chakra control, Taijutsu, the theory of Genjutsu, and shuriken throwing, along with normal stuff like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Language, History, Geography, and Civics.
