14 - 14 - New Reality

After hearing the being's response, Izuna could only ask, "And what will this loophole be?"

The being then said, "Well, previously, you were allowed to just spam the save point as much as you wanted. However, now your save point will have a small cooldown on it. So, for example, if you use your save point and go back in time for one day, then you now lose that save point, and you can't set a new save point for one day. If you went back in time one week, then you can't set a new save point for one week. Now, it's been fun, but it's time for you to go. So, bye."

Izuna was then met with the darkness of the sky once again, but this time he wasn't sitting outside his house; he was standing on the pier with kunai in hand, and he could no longer feel his save point.

He then thought, 'So now I have to wait one day before I set a new save point. This changes things. I'll have to be careful how and when I use the save point.'

He knew things had changed. He couldn't just tweak every little thing like he wanted to anymore, and there were now going to be times like right now when he couldn't depend on his save point. But it was hopeless to think about it any further. He knew the new rules and he knew there was nothing he could do to change them, so he just continued to practice his chakra control late into the night. Then, he ran home and snuck back into their backyard.

As the sun was coming up in the morning, Akemi was woken up by Izuna sneaking back into their backyard.

She smiled and said to Takashi, who was also woken up by their son, "Looks like he's back from training. Does he really think we don't know that he's sneaking out?"

Takashi then said, "Who knows what he thinks. He's still a child. But, Akemi, you should have seen him yesterday. His Great Fireball Jutsu covered the entire lake. I couldn't use that jutsu that well until I was a year or two into being a genin." Takashi said the last part with a huge smile and the pride of a proud father.

Akemi then said, "So, should we continue to let him sneak out and train, or should we tell him to stop?"

Takashi then said, "There's worse things out there than somebody sneaking out to train, so I say let him be. Let him think we don't know. Maybe this will keep him driven to train. He's so talented; it would be a shame if he let it get to his head and he stopped training."

Akemi then nodded her head and said, "Okay."
