277 Who let the Dogs out

As Yami was killing the mist shinobis left and right he kept an eye on the ones around him as well. He knew that Moji, Jiro and the others would jump at it the moment they see an opening. Yami then pulled out a kunai from his pocket and threw it. But it wasn't in the direction of the mist shinobis who were attacking him or Moji and Jiro who were watching him. He threw the kunai straight at Kakashi. The bloodline shinobis were confused as to what happened but they saw Kakashi give a small laugh and dodge the kunai easily just by tilting his head. "What just happened? He seems to have missed a shot"

Asami said to which Riko shook his head and said in a serious tone "No he aimed for Kakashi's head and threw it. It wasn't a mistake." Asami looked at Kakashi and asked "Why did he try to kill you?"

Kakashi who was still standing with his hands in his pocket laughed and said "He didn't try to kill me. If he did then the kunai would have created a crater behind me but he threw it without imbuing any chakra in it."

"Imbuing chakra in a tool is a very difficult technique Kakashi Hatake…it is not something many can do." Elder Wu said.

Asuma smirked as he heard that and said "You are right Elder Wu but he is one of the people that can do it. I taught him to do that."

Elder Wu raised his eyebrows when he heard that. He then saw Asuma pull out his chakra metal knuckles from his pocket to which Elder Wu nodded and said "As expected of the son of the 3rd Hokage but why did the kid still attack Kakashi without any intention?"

Kakashi waved his hand and said "He prefers to do things in the shadow. But now he had to reveal himself but I didn't butt in. He is just showing his displeasure. After all he is a kid."

The clan leaders gave a deadpan look to Kakashi thinking the same thing 'A kid? Really? After all that he has done?'

Yoshiro sighed and said "I understand what you mean…he did do everything in the shadows. Never would we have guessed that such an innocent-looking kid would be the Genjutsu Demon."

Kurenai looked at Kakashi and asked "Kakashi but you know very well how he is then why didn't you help him out and force him to reveal himself?" The same question was bugging Asuma, Hideki, and the others as well.

Kakashi who was in a happy mood suddenly became serious and said "Because he has done something I didn't think he would. And by the law of our village, he could be punished by death. Revealing his identity was his punishment for committing an unforgivable crime."

Everyone was shocked when they heard that. They didn't know what Yami did but a crime that can get you the death penalty is pretty serious and it definitely wouldn't be something like killing an innocent person or disobeying a superior's orders.

Like the other Asuma and Kurenai's curiosity was piqued as they heard that but they didn't have the courage to ask him. Asuma also couldn't muster the courage to do so which was shocking to him as well.

As Yami had killed quite a number of mist shinobis, Moji was going to order more of his men to go and attack Yami but he then heard a scream from behind him. For a second, he and Jiro thought that the bloodline clans had ordered the attack but they saw that the clan leaders were as shocked and curious as they were. They all looked in the direction of the scream and saw a few stone shinobis lying in a pool of blood. The culprits were standing just beside them and they all had ragtag clothes on and numerous scars on their bodies.

"Who the hell are these people? Jiro asked with a confused face. The people hadn't worn the headband of any village and except for some weapons they had nothing. No armor or even boots. The one to recognize them the quickest was Asami as she shouted "They are bloodline shinobis. That man is Kuri…one of my clan's Elder."

The old man looked at Asami with a frown on his face and asked "Asami, if I am not wrong, Elder Kuri was captured by the Mizukage faction 4 years ago. I thought he was dead."

Asami nodded and said "I thought that as well. But now that I see him, it is him."

"Those are my men." Riko shouted pointing at the same place where Elder Kuri was standing. Everyone looked in that direction and saw a few more men in ragtag clothes come up behind Elder Kuri with weapons in their hands.

Moji looked at them for a second and thought "All these are bloodline clan members but they were all in our custody. How are they not in the prison?"

"What do you mean? How did they get out of prison?" Jiro asked "You can thank me for that." Yami's voice fell on his ears.

Yami who was now standing in the middle of mist shinobi corpses stabbed his sword into the heart of a mist shinobi who was on the ground in front of him.

Yami smiled at Jiro and said "I thought they must be bored staying in the Mizukage faction's prison so I had them released to get some fresh air.

"YOU DID WHAT?" Jiro shouted and the next second he heard a few more screams. He looked in that direction and saw 4-5 stone shinobis were attacked. The ones to attack were again the prisoners who Yami had set free.

"F-Father, M-Mother" A shriveled voice came from behind Santo. He looked back and saw Kana who was almost on the verge of crying and tears were dripping down her cheeks while she was practically shivering. Her shivering hand was pointing in the direction of one of the screams. Santo and Enko looked in that direction and saw a middle-aged couple standing behind a stone shinobi corpse.

"I-It really is them." Santo who normally kept his composure was also shocked to see this. His parents who had disappeared for almost a decade were standing a few meters away from him. Though they looked rugged and their faces had wrinkled, he could never forget those sharp hawk-like eyes of his father and that graceful face of his mother. Even after so many years they still had the charm.

"Aunt Mina…she is alive." Mei said as she stepped forward subconsciously holding her father's hand. Kana's parents who heard their daughter's voice looked at her and smiled.

"You have gotten big my little Kana." Her mother Mina said. Moji was frustrated seeing the family reunion and he pulled a few shurikens and threw them at the couple. Kana's eyes widened as she saw that. Mei also leaped toward the couple but she knew that she could never reach them in time and they wouldn't be able to escape easily from the attack…at least not both of them. Everyone on the bloodline clan's side wanted to jump in between those shurikens and the Terumi couple but they all knew that blood was going to be spilled. They could see the horror and despair in the eyes of the Terumi couple. They had seen their kids after such a long time that felt like an eternity and they weren't even able to savor those moments. Just as the shurikens were about to reach the couple,

KLANKKKK

A figure appeared with a big sword held in front of his chest. The figure swayed his sword pushing those shurikens away and saving the Terumi couple from death.

"T-That sword… it's the executioner's blade. Zabuza" Asami said as she recognized the sword and its holder. With the tape covering his entire face, it was hard to recognize him but with the blade in his hand, people would know that it was him.

"Zabuza...you dare come back in the mist?" Moji grit his teeth. A few years ago Zabuza had left the village with one of the seven mist swords and he had even killed a few mist shinobis in the process. Later Moji found out that Zabuza was selling his services to the highest bidder but he never expected the traitor to come back at such a crucial time.

Zabuza lifted the blade and placed it on his own shoulder as he stood in front of the Terumi couple blocking them from any incoming attack and said "Moji...this is my village as well. Why won't I come back?"

"You got some nerve helping those bloodline clan bastards. And are you in cahoots with the Genjutsu demon? Ally with other villages to kill your own people. Has your greed reached such heights?" Moji asked completely furious.

Zabuza chuckled and said "Leave those speeches for kids whom you brainwash. They will have no effect on me and as for allying with the Genjutsu demon...let's just say he is the highest bidder for my services."

While this was going on, Ji came towards Jiro and whispered something in his ears. Jiro nodded and walked close to Moji and said a few things as well. The three men nodded at each other and commanded together "The exchange has failed...retreat and save yourselves."
