276 Underestimate me
"That's the Sharingan." The old man said making everyone focus on the tomoes that were in Yami's eyes.
Moji and Jiro were about to ask something when the injured Ji yelled "Kill the kid? Tear apart his limbs." He yelled in a maniac tone. His madness had reached new heights now and there was no calming him down.
The cultists who had disguised themselves as stone shinobis on Jiro's command, rushed to Yami. Yami understood that people had still not understood who he was or else they wouldn't let only 4 people rush at him without a plan.
Most of Yami's weapons were stored in a storage scroll. The only ones he had kept on him were the hidden blades under his sleeves. The guards were so scared of hurting him that they didn't even check if he had anything hidden under his clothes.
As the 4 cultists were rushing at him, Yami noticed the tattoos on their body but they weren't glowing like it did on the ones Yami had killed before. This made Yami more sure that they were underestimating him. He let the 4 of them rush toward him…Yoshiro and the others were looking at Yami and then at Kakashi to see if Kakashi is stepping him to help.
But Kakashi was just standing leisurely. As the 1st cultist reached near Yami, Yami jumped on his shoulder and using it as a launch pad he leaped toward the 2nd cultist. This caught the 1st cultist and the ones behind him off guard. He tried to stop and swing his kunai toward Yami but Yami reached to his side by then and ejected his hidden blade from his sleeve.
He applied wind chakra on the blade and sliced it through the cultist's throat making his head roll on the ground and blood spray from his neck. The eyes of everyone watching instantly widened as they saw this.
Even the cultists were shocked at the sudden death of their comrade. Yami crouched on the ground on one knee and looked back at the 1st cultist with his Sharingan. Yami then ignored the cultist and looked ahead toward the 3rd and 4th Cultists. They expected Yami to move first but they saw the 1st cultist also rush toward Yami. "Attack him together." The 4th cultist said.
He wanted the 1st and 3rd both to attack Yami at the same time which would reduce Yami's chance of dodging and if Yami tried the escape then the 4th cultist himself would block Yami's path. The 3rd cultist nodded and timed his attack with the 1st cultist but Yami sidestepped and easily dodged it. Yami ran toward the 4th cultist while the 3rd one stopped running and looked back at Yami. He was now sure that with him and the 1st cultist attacking Yami from behind and the 4th attacking Yami from the front, Yami had no escape.
But the next second, he felt a sharp pain in his chest. He looked down and saw a kunai pass through his chest. He didn't understand how Yami who was standing in front of him attacked from behind.
He looked back and saw the one who killed him wasn't Yami but the 1st cultist. "Got you now kid."
The 1st cultist smirked not realizing that he hadn't stabbed Yami but the 3rd cultist."What the hell just happened?" Riko asked. He didn't understand why a stone shinobi would stab one of their own in the middle of the battle. Asami shrugged as he looked at her and then they both looked at Yoshiro.
Yoshiro glanced at them and said "When Yuta looked back at the 1st shinobi after killing the 2nd one, he cast a genjutsu on him. Making him think that the 3rd one was Yuta. So now the 1st shinobi thinks he has killed Yuta when in fact he has killed his own comrade. "So cruel."
Enko muttered to which Elder Wu said "That's how battles are fought Enko. In the land of grass, our battles were simple and face to face but in complicated battles like this strength is secondary and strategies are what matter the most." Yami then snapped his fingers making the 1st cultist break from the genjutsu.
As he realized that the one he stabbed wasn't the kid but his own comrade, the smile of his face instantly disappeared. Before his mind could process what had happened, He saw Yami jumping on the 4th cultist's chest and stabbing the hidden blade through the man's heart. As the 4th cultist's lifeless body fell on the ground, Yami stood over him and looked at the 1st cultist who was now going a little berserk. The tattoos on his body started to glow.
This confused everyone as they didn't know any jutsu of the hidden stone had involved glowing tattoos. "What is this? How have I never heard the hidden stone having this kind of jutsu." The old man asked.
He didn't expect an answer from anyone and definitely not Kakashi who said "Because he is not a hidden stone shinobi. Neither were those other three. They belong to a cult which sacrifices people to gain power."
The clan leaders immediately looked at Kakashi who nodded and then they looked at Jiro who was now gnashing his teeth in anger. Things had turned out very bad for him. He didn't expect the kid to be this strong and for Kakashi to expose Jiro's alliance with a cult. Jiro ignored the chatter the bloodline clan leaders were having and looked at the 1st cultist. He had started breathing heavily now and the tattoos on his body were also glowing with the same rhythm.
"Ji what the hell is happening?" Jiro asked Ji who had now taken out the piece of knife from his eye said "He is overloading himself with chakra due to his unstable mental state. It is a side effect of our power and we lose a little control over ourselves. A mild effect like that happened to me a few minutes ago which is why I grabbed the kid." Ji said calmly as he put a piece of cloth on his eye.
Due to being a follower of Jashin, his bleeding had stopped and his wounds were healing. On the other side after listening to Kakashi, Yoshiro looked at the old man and the other two clan leaders and said "We need to step in now. This is the best opportunity." The clan leaders also nodded and they felt a little doubt whether Yami would be able to kill the berserk cultist as his strength was increasing with every passing second.
It was as if he was amassing chakra into his own body. The old man was about to give his men orders to attack the cultist when he saw Yami point two fingers at the cultist. He didn't understand what Yami was trying to do…no one did except Kakashi who had seen Yami use this jutsu once.
Lightning style : Chidori Beam

A concentrated blue beam shot out from Yami's fingers and passed through the cultist's chest instantly. It made a very small and swift sound as if someone had just whizzed by. The next second they all saw that there was a hole in the cultist's chest where his heart should be. The chakra that he had amassed for the past 15-20 seconds had suddenly disappeared. No one expected the fight to end before it even started.
Moji looked at the fallen cultists and then at Ji and Jiro and shouted "WHAT ARE YOU ALL WAITING FOR??? KILL THE KID"The mist shinobis quickly recovered from their shock and every mist shinobi rushed toward Yami. Some rushed with weapons while some stood at a few distance from each other and started preparing their jutsus.
"Old man I think we should also join in the fun…I don't know who or what this kid is but I ain't gonna let him die." Riko said as he got in a fighting stance and also the people who were his guards. Even Asami agreed to what Riko said and got prepared to jump in the fight.
The old man shook his head and said "Have you still not understood Riko? This kid is a leaf shinobi and still the leaf shinobis haven't moved a single step." Riko looked confused as he heard that and looked at Kakashi and the others and asked "Are you all not going to help him?"
Asuma who had been quite up until now chuckled and said "If he can destroy two bases single handily then why would he need help to fight against some shinobis?" It took a few seconds for Riko to realize but he then shouted "THE KID IS THE GENJUTSU DEMON?"
This shout reached each and everyone's ears including the ones who were rushing at Yami. For a second everything stopped, even the ones rushing stopped and looked at Riko and then at Yami.
Even though the kid possessed a Sharingan, it didn't mean that he was the genjutsu demon…"No that can't be true…He is just a kid. How can he…" Asami said while looking at Asuma and pointing at Yami but she couldn't complete her sentence because she heard screams and not just once but multiple. She along with others looked at the direction of the scream and saw Yami with a sword in his hand, moving through the shinobis cutting them down ruthlessly one by one.
