310 Reconstruction

The details of the war that occurred in the hidden mist spread along with the new addition to the bingo book. Shinobi villages all over the world were shocked to see such a bounty given to a 10-year-old. The crimes that the hidden stone had mentioned made most of the people believe that the hidden stone is blowing things out of proportion but only a few knew that they had downplayed the whole thing and didn't send squads to hunt down Yami.

Since he was from the hidden leaf and the hidden stone didn't have any kind of alliance with the leaf, there was no need to hold themselves back. The only reason that stopped the Tsuchikage was he himself was busy in the compensation and peace talks with the hidden mist and now the threat of the monster was also looming over their heads. All the villages had found out that the monster can travel long distances through water and that's how he came to the hidden mist and left and this led to increased protection at the borders. Even the hidden mist got orders from the Fire Daimyo to secure the borders. Since Tsunade had already sent a few squads to the land of forests, she planned to make it a big port for trade with the hidden mist. This could bring prosperity to the local villagers who lived in the land of forests.

In an unknown cave

"Ughh…w-were am I?" A weakened Yami voiced as he opened his eyes. He couldn't see many things around. He didn't know how many days it's been since he had fallen unconscious. Yami tried to get up and sit upright but he felt so weak that he could hardly move his body. He looked up and saw the moist ceiling with sounds of water dropping coming from around him.

With much difficulty, he moved his head around to look at his surroundings. He was surprised to see that he was lying on a flat rock which was in the middle of a medium-sized pond. What caught his attention more was the liquid in the pond wasn't water but something silver in color. It had a reflective surface which made the surroundings look more beautiful.

'What is this silver liquid? I don't remember seeing something like this before nor have I read it anywhere. Let's see' Yami thought as he tried to move his finger closer to the edge of the flat stone. He wanted to dip a finger in it. Just as his finger was reaching the edge a voice echoed throughout the cave.

"I WOULDN'T DO IT IF I WERE YOU"

Yami couldn't just move his head due to the pain and soreness so he only moved his eyes around.

"W-Where am I?" Yami knew that he was brought here by the big bat but he didn't know why his body hadn't healed up until now and why he was in the middle of a silver pond.

"You woke up earlier than I expected." The voice came again. The one thing that Yami noticed was that the first voice he heard didn't belong to the big bat. The voice has a flat undertone to it.

When he heard the voice again, the voice didn't echo, and felt like it was coming from somewhere very near to him.

Yami looked up at the ceiling and started to wander around his eyes. "Where are you searching for me kiddo? Are your senses gone numb or are you that weak?" the voice came again and that's when Yami realized that there was a bat sitting on his chest.

Yami was shocked to see that someone was sitting on his chest and he didn't even know. Nothing like that has happened before.

'Even those Anbus and spies sent by the higher-ups and Danzo couldn't escape my senses. Then how did I not notice a bat sitting on my chest? Did my senses seriously dwindle because of my injuries?' Yami thought.

Yami looked at the bat and saw that it was slightly bigger than a normal bat and had red fur around its neck. "W-who are you?" Yami asked as he looked at the bat with a face filled with confusion. When he had visited the cave before he hadn't seen this bat before so it came as a surprise to him.

"I am the one who is in charge of healing you and reconstructing your entire body. You can call me grandpa Bora" The bat said.

"You mean my body which was destroyed in the fight right?" Yami asked. He didn't understand why the bat used the word reconstructing entire body.

The bat shook his head and said "No if I do that then half of your natural body will reject your other half leading to many other problems so I am going to destroy your remaining half-body and create a whole new body."

"W-wait whattt??? What do you mean destroy my body? I am sure that there must be some other way." Yami asked with somewhat of a panicked expression on his face.

"Kid the only two ways I can think of doing it is either by this method or by using the cells of Hashirama Senju…the god of Shinobis." Bora said.

'Hashirama Senju…will the arm that I stole from the root shinobis contain Hashirama cells do the trick?' Yami thought.

"I can ask the Hokage for some. I am sure she wouldn't say no since they research on it." Yami said. He didn't want to lie but wanted to see how the bat would react and if would he still suggest using the cells. In case, he agrees then Yami can have one of his clones bring the arm to him.

The bat didn't look much surprised by that and thought for a few seconds before saying "We can create a body using the Hashirama cells though I would still recommend against it as you will be stunting your own growth."

"Huh? Stunting my own growth…what do you mean?" Yami asked.

"The Hashirama cells will give you a good arm and shoulder and even promote a little of your healing but that is where the pros stop. They are just a piece of flesh and won't be able to evolve like your other body. When I first saw you I thought you were about to die but now I see that your chakra is so pure and dense that it has formed a core which is something that was only theoretically possible. The 2nd Hokage, Tobirama did make many such theories but neither he nor his brother were capable of doing it practically seeing you now, I think you made it possible. Which is why I made such a preparation for you or else I would have just boosted your healing to give you a mediocre body."

"What are the so-called cons you talked about with Hashirama cells and wouldn't boosting my healing give me back a body like the original?" Yami questioned.

"This is the longest I have spent convincing anyone kid. The Hashirama cells won't be able to handle a chakra as dense as yours and it might act out becoming cancer for you. As for boosting your healing, the body would be very weak and will not be able to perform a change in chakra form. I am done convincing you now so tell me what you want?" the bat said in a little frustrated tone and turned around to fly away.

Yami thought for a few seconds and weighed the pros and cons of each way. The mediocre body was out of the question since Yami won't be able to use kekkai Genkai if he has it. As for Hashirama cells, Yami knew how dangerous it was to work with and he didn't want half of his body to become a kind of cancer so he decided to go with Bora's suggestion and let him reconstruct his entire body.

"Alright do it but you sure right that this body will be perfect for me?" Yami asked to which the Bora looked back and said "No one has been able to come in a state where he needed this technique to be used but if successful I assure you that your body will be perfect to learn some of our techniques."

The old bat left and hung upside down on the ceiling and said "We will start the procedure within the next few hours. The process will take months to complete and then you might have to stay for a while to get used to it so I suggest you send a letter to your village and let them know. I will someone to record what you want to say and they will send a scroll to your village and family."
