24 New weights & Summoning Scroll

"So you want ankle weights right? Show me the weights you are currently wearing and I will give you a level higher than that." the man said and Yami sat on a nearby chair to remove his weights.

"So how many levels of weight do you keep?" Yami said handing his weights to the man. As soon as the man touched the weights his hands weighed down and he almost fell down.

"Oh boy, these weights are one of the highest ones we keep. These weights have a metal that is denser than normal metals. We usually sell only the ones that have gravity seals. You must have got these custom-made from the Land of Iron. Only a few Samurais can use this."

The man put those weights on a table and read the inscriptions made on it. After a few seconds, he looked at Yami and said "We only have one level above this and in this village only Might guy used to wear them."

'Damm I even these weights give me trouble and Might guy used to wear a level higher than this?' Yami thought as he knew that there was no one good at Taijutsu when compared to Might Guy. Yami had no interest in becoming a Taijutsu expert like Might Guy or Rock Lee, he only needed the weights so that he could increase his speed.

"Fine, I will take that then. And how much heavier are those weights as compared to the ones I am currently using?"

"3 times the weight." the man said in a calm tone. He noticed the cold Jonin who was standing in front of him had an ugly expression on his face.

"Haha...don't worry they are made of gravity seals so you can increase the weight little by little. But there is one drawback"

"What would that be?" Yami asked with confusion on his face.

"While using physical weights you can use chakra on your legs to reduce their effect which is what people normally do. These weights made of gravity seals are immune to that. You will feel the same weight even if you reinforce your legs with chakra."

'Oh crap, I am screwed. Now I understand why big brother Itachi had physical weights instead of the seal ones' Yami cursed himself as he expected to run his dense chakra through his legs and go through these weights like a cakewalk.

"After Might guy many tried to use them but returned after a day or two. I have kept them in the warehouse. I will bring them in a few minutes and by that time take a look around and see if you find something interesting enough to buy." the man said and walked out of the room.

Yami walked around the room for a few minutes and saw various poisons, Natural as well as synthetic. He even small some swords but he knew none of them could hold a candle to the one he has. He saw several jutsu scrolls of different chakra nature but none of them interested him.

'None of these jutsus are any special to be sold on the black market so why keep them here?' Yami was thinking when the door opened behind him.

The man entered with a black band in his hand. The band had many seals drawn on them and it had 3 circles on it.

"I know what you are thinking. These jutsus aren't any special but they are the ones that are leftover." the man said.

"What do you mean by that?"

"We restock the scrolls every 6 months. The people giving us these scrolls are of many types. Thieves, murders, shinobis from different villages or even villages who give them to us in exchange for metal or armor from the Land of Iron. Samurais don't use jutsus so they are useless to them so we bring it here to sell."

"So when will you restock again?"

"3 months later. You will see a red dress showcased on the outside of the shop when we are ready to sell newly acquired scrolls. If there is any specific scroll you want then let us know. As long as it isn't forbidden by our village, I can sell it to you."

Yami nodded and then put the matter at the back of his mind as he didn't have any specific jutsu in mind that he wanted to learn. He looked at the band the man was holding. The band looked like a normal black band with seals on it. It wasn't bulky like the ones Yami was used to wearing nor like the ones Rock Lee wears.

"This is the one I was talking about. This takes a negligible amount of chakra when you use it and you can turn it on and off as per your requirement. There are 3 levels on it. When you turn on the first one the weight will be the same that you are wearing and the first circle will light up. The second circle will double the weight and the third one will triple it. This is the upgraded version of what Might guy had." the man explained the features of the ankle band.

"What is the upgrade that you speak of" Yami asked.

"The one you are wearing and the one Might guy wore would only put the weight on the legs but this one affects the whole body. And no matter how much chakra you put in it, it won't have any effect. This was made for the worst prisoners of the Land of Iron. Our village deemed it too cruel for the prisoners."

Yami took the band and decided to wear it at home rather than embarrass himself here. He paid for the band and was walking back to the door when he saw his chakra react to a scroll kept way back on one of the shelves. The scroll had dried blood on it.

Yami went closer and picked up the scroll and turned toward the man. The man hesitated a little and said "This is a summoning contract scroll but I suggest you don't use it. We have other ones as well if you want to try."

'There must be a reason my chakra reacted to it but why is this guy so hesitant and why is there blood on it.' Yami thought.

"I wanna buy-it so tell me everything you know about it." Yami said while taking out his wallet.

"Everyone who tried this summoning contract got reverse summoned and after a few minutes, his bloody corpse would appear on the scroll. No one is able to make the contract and we can't even destroy this scroll."

"Which animal's summoning contract is this?"

"BATS"
