266 Haku's Relief

While Kakashi and the others were returning back to the Terumi estate and Moji was worried sick in his office, Yami was navigating his way through the Mizukage faction's prison. He had used transformation jutsu to look like Ron, the man who Haku had killed in Hideki's house and who Yami had impersonated while bringing the disguised Haku here. As he was the one to bring the prisoner in, he didn't have any problem coming and going inside the prison. As he was about to reach Haku's cell, someone shouted Ron's name from the back.

Yami looked back and saw Sho who was Ron's partner.

Sho quickly walked toward Yami and asked "Where the fuck have you been Ron? You have been missing since the day we brought that prisoner from Kozu village. I can't keep covering for you forever." Sho said with a frown on his way.

"Uhh..I was busy elsewhere…Did something happen?" Yami asked.

"Busy elsewhere? Other than gambling what the hell can you even do? I had to take care of that snobby kid for the past few days. Now that you are here…you will take care of him till the exchange." Sho said as he pulled out a bunch of keys from his pocket and placed them in Yami's hands.

Yami knew what exchange Sho was talking about but he still had to ask "What exchange? Are we trading the kid with the bloodline clans so easily?"

"Yea Yea…that's what the higher-ups have decided and surprisingly only the Anbus are going. We just need to make sure that the kid is alive till that date so don't bully him much. I am going now…don't disappear like that again till the exchange or you might die by captain's hands." Sho joked and left in the direction he came from.

'Hmm…only Anbus are going? Don't they need cannon fodder when they attack the bloodline clans? No…every fight needs cannon fodder which means that if the normal shinobis aren't going, the Anbus…they are the cannon fodder or Moji is way too overconfident in crushing the bloodline clans with sheer force and numbers.' Yami thought as he reached Haku's cell.

Using the keys he got from Sho, Yami entered the cell. At first, Haku didn't even look at him as he thought it was already late night and Sho would come around this time to take the empty dinner plate. Yami closed the door behind him and said "Haku, it's me. Get up now."

Haku disguised as Yami was laying on the hard bed with his back turned toward the door. He quickly turned back and got up as he heard Yami say that. Seeing Ron's face Haku knew that it was Yami.

"Yami, you are here. I have been waiting for so many days now." Haku asked.

"No time for all that chit chat Haku. For now, I need you to leave the prison and meet up with Zabuza. He will tell you everything that has happened for the past few days." Yami said as he took out a scroll from his pocket and gave it to Yami. IT wasn't a storage scroll but a normal scroll.

Haku took the scroll and was about to open it but Yami stopped him and said "Don't open it now. Give it to Zabuza and tell him I have written down instructions as to what to do if some specific things happen."

"Alright I understand but how do I get out of here? I can't just use transformation jutsu as I have done for you. I am not used to moving around in a grown man's body like you are" Haku said. Yami bumped his knuckle on Haku's head and said "Stop behaving like a scaredy cat now and use the transformation jutsu. Make sure to not use too much chakra or else the chakra fluctuation will alert the nearby guards.

Haku agreed while rubbing her head in pain and used transformation jutsu to turn himself into Ron. Yami dispersed his own transformation jutsu and turned it into his original self. "Now leave fast with those empty plates. It's already the middle of the night so there won't be many people here to see how you are behaving." Yami said as he opened the door and signaled the disguised Haku to leave the cell.

"But why are you taking my place? I remember that the shinobi Sho told me yesterday that 4 days later I will return back to the bloodline clan." Haku said. She thought even if Yami did come here, he will come a night before the actual thing happens. But here Yami was 2 days earlier than the exchange date.

"Stop asking questions and do as I tell you to." Yami said and pushed the transformed Haku out of the cell.

"Alright..alright I am going now." Haku said and started walking in the direction of the exit. As Yami said, there weren't many people in here so Haku was able to leave the prison area easily. As soon as he came to a certain distance away from the prison, Haku turned in the direction of the jungle and undid his transformation jutsu when he felt like no one was around at this moment.

'Thank god I got out of that prison. I was literally scared every minute of my life there thinking that someday someone who come to inspect the chakra seals and find out that my chakra points aren't sealed. Now I don't know what Yami has written in the scroll but I better go to the meeting point and wait for Zabuza like Yami said.' Haku thought and started running in the direction of their predetermined meeting point. Unknown to her someone was watching this from behind the tree. After Haku left only a voice was heard from the darkness of the thick forest "What are two smells that I recognize doing on a person who I don't recognize at all? I must tell him that something is fishy here." after saying this…whoever was behind the tree vanished without making a single sound.

Terumi Mansion.

Everyone was back in the underground meeting room but the only people there were the clan leaders and the bloodline clan members who went for the meet. Kakashi and the others had no idea that there was a meeting being held at this time. Asami and Mei had just narrated everything that they had heard and seen when they went to the coast to meet the genjutsu demon.

"So you are saying that Kakashi Hatake suddenly became serious and he knew what kind of injuries the spy named Eiji had on him?" Yoshiro asked as he looked at Mei.

"Yes, Father and we found it extremely suspicious because he described the injuries accurately and even the spy named Shiro who is the one who inspected Eiji was shocked to hear everything. He himself hadn't fully explained the injuries but Kakashi Hatake knew everything." Mei said as she glanced at Asami for confirmation.

Asami nodded at Mei's statement and said "What Mei is saying is correct but if I may say then that wasn't the weirdest part."

"What do you mean?" asked the old man. He was now regretting not going to the meet. Even those they weren't able to meet the genjutsu demon, he still missed a lot of things.

"Kakashi instantly said that Eiji's chakra points are destroyed…this was not someone could know without even going near the actual victim. You know what I mean, don't you?" Asami asked as she looked at the old man.

The old man nodded and said "Kakashi Hatake recognized who uses this kind of attack to incapacitate their enemy. Not many people in this shinobi world are this ruthless with their enemies. Destroying a shinobi's chakra points and even severing their muscle tissues would make the person live a life worse than death. Truly something the genjutsu demon would do. I don't think there is anyone in the Mizukage faction who would go through so much trouble."

Yoshiro looked at the old man and said "Are you perhaps suggesting that Kakashi Hatake has found out who the genjutsu demon is?" Yoshiro's statement made waves among everyone who was present in the room. Everyone wanted to know the identity of the genjutsu demon but they weren't too hopeful about finding that out.

The old man saw everyone staring at him and chuckled as he shook his head and said "No I think Kakashi Hatake knew the identity of the genjutsu demon before he stepped foot into the hidden mist."

"That is a bold claim old man. He could also very well be some one from our village who wants to keep his/her identity hidden and is tired of the Mizukage faction's crimes" Riko said in a proud tone. He wanted someone this powerful to be from his lands rather than from some other village.

Yoshiro looked at Santo and asked "Where is Elder Wu? I heard he wanted to study some weapons that were present there."

"Yes he did and he said he would come here to the meeting as soon as he is finished. I am sure he would come in a few minutes" Santo said and within the next few minutes Elder Wu arrived in the meeting room.
