Counter Attack Part 2

"T-this kid dare taunt us?" One of the blood squad members blood 5 got furious after seeing Yami cut down his own squadmate and then taunt them. For him, it wasn't anything like he cared for the squad members who died but more like the name of the blood squad getting tarnished. The one who had just shouted looked at another one in the squad blood 6 and they both nodded. Yami guessed they both must have some kind of combo technique to either trap Yami or kill him.

Blood 5 and blood 6 both had similar weapons which were two short words with a hook at the top and bottom. They both started rushing at Yami while the others supported them from the back. Blood 5 interlocked the hook on his left-hand sword with the hook of blood 6's right-hand sword. Yami didn't understand for a second what this would accomplish as now this sword can't be used at him since it's interlocked but he understood what they were planning when blood 6 crouched a little with his legs spread for a good footing. He then yanked the sword toward Yami and since the sword was connected with blood 5 indirectly, Blood 5 was also launched toward Yami. Blood 5 also pushed the ground by applying chakra to his feet which increased his speed even more.

Yami realized that even though this technique looked simple, it didn't just increase his speed but also his strength as now he could apply all the chakra to his arms. While he was coming fast at Yami, Blood 6 made some hand signs which lifted blobs of water from the nearby river. These blobs were then all aimed at Yami at high speed. Yami could sense that they weren't targeted at his body right now but if he tried to dodge the attack of blood 5 then at least 2 of those blobs would hit him no matter what.

'They have blocked all ways of escape…I can use summons to escape from this situation but let's push this fight further. Even If I manage to dodge the head-on attack and the water blobs, I am sure that the other blood squad members will try to do something.' Yami thought.

The blood squad members were curious as to what step Yami was going to take now but then they saw the blue lightning cloak on his body turned purple and the noise of crackling increased severalfold.

Blood 5 who was about to reach Yami was now feeling a little hesitant because the lightning cloak earlier could only paralyze him for a second or two but this one looked like it would seriously injure him. But he had already come this far and couldn't chicken out so with all his might he slashed his sword at Yami. The least he expected was Yami to be pushed back at a distance and the best outcome would be him getting cut in half.

ARGHHH

Blood 5 screamed as his sword touched Yami's. Just as he thought, the lightning on the sword and on Yami's body began assaulting him. Every time the lightning would hit, nerves on his body would spasm. Blood 5 wanted to back off after that attack to make sure that he is safe but his legs refused to move. He was still applying pressure on Yami's sword with both of his hands. The two swords struggled for a second or two but then Yami's sword cut through Blood 5's. Seeing his weapon destroyed, Blood 5 tried to step back but his legs wouldn't move partly due to the lightning attacks and partly due to fear. In the end, Blood 5 fell to the ground on his butt. It was a very shameful thing not only for him but also for the entire squad. Hari even looked away for a second as if blood 5 was killed in front of him.

Blood 5 himself felt humiliated by this and wanted to kill himself but he also had the desire to live and for that, he was ready to face any kind of humiliation. But Yami didn't want to give him that chance and while staring at Hari and the others, he pierced his sword into Blood 5's throat. Blood 5 struggled to remove the sword from his throat and successfully managed to do it as well. He looked back at his teammates and saw none of them had taken a single step forward to help him. While using one hand to stop the bleeding throat and the one to reach for his squadmates, Blood 5 fell on the ground and died.

All the blood squad members kept staring at Yami. If it wasn't for Yami's red eyes, they wouldn't even see him as an enemy. But now after seeing Blood 5 and many others of the blood squad members die Hari stepped forward and said "You are the Genjutsu demon, aren't you?"

"What gave it away? Was it the red eyes or was it your people dying?" Yami said in a mocking tone which made the blood squad angry but Hari smiled and said "You got a lot of spunk in you kid. I still don't think you are a kid but I will find that out from your corpse. START THE FORMATION" Hari shouted and expected the 3 voices to come from 3 different directions and the formation to be created but only 2 voices came and the formation was also not erected. Hari looked in the direction where the 3rd member was supposed to be standing.

Yami also looked there and said "You waiting for someone?" Yami raised his eyebrows and said in a teasing tone and with this he had managed to royally piss off Hari because Hari was gnashing his teeth and thick mist started spreading around him. There was a hint of purple in that mist. The squad members understood that Hari had gotten serious and they also released mist around them. Within 5-6 seconds, Hari and his squad members had completely disappeared. Yami was standing in the middle of the thick mist. Suddenly he lifted his sword to the side in mid-air and a metal clashing sound spread in the area. This was the sound of blood 2 attacking Yami with his sword while Yami blocked the attack. Yami then saw a big snake made of water appear from the river and head straight at him. He understood that this jutsu might either be done by Hari alone or 2-3 mist shinobis had made it together.

The snake had big fangs and it rushed at Yami. Yami pushed back blood 2 with his sword and made some quick hand signs followed by a big ball of fire from his mouth. The ball of fire collided with the water and instantly tremendous amount of vapor was created.

This helped Yami distract the squad members for a second and Yami didn't let that chance slip. He quickly rushed toward the nearest squad member he could find. Before the others could realize Yami had moved, they heard the sound of birds chirping. They had never heard of this jutsu before so they didn't know what it was until they saw the hand covered in lightning tear apart blood 3's chest. Yami was about to move on to killing another blood squad member that was nearby but then he sensed an attack coming and jumped back. He then saw a big crater where he just stood and Hari standing in the middle of it.

"You have pretty good sensing capabilities." Hari said and rushed to launch another attack. Right now 4 more squad members of the blood squad were left. Yami had kept his use of jutsus to the minimum as he didn't want to get tired by the time he gets to fight Hari.

Yami created 3 clones of himself and they all left in separate directions. Hari instantly stopped as he saw this as he knew that guessing the wrong Yami meant the death of another of his squad member.

By now he had understood that his squad members weren't strong enough to fight Yami and whenever they took the initiative to attack, Yami had replied by killing them. The only one that came out unscathed after attacking Yami was blood 2.

"Blood 2 chase 1 of them while I chase the other. Rest of you idiots stay together and chase the 3rd one." Hari instantly shouted commands.

"But what if the 4th one is the real one?" Blood 2 questioned to which Hari clicked his tongue in annoyance and said "We have to take that chance." Hari said and confronted one of the Yamis. He didn't know if he was the real thing or a clone.

"Are you sure that I am the real one?" The Yami in front of Hari asked. The Yamis in front of Blood 2 and the other squad member also asked the same thing. The 4 Yami had disappeared into the mist.
