1 I AM NARUTO

Hello! I am Naruto, five years old and an orphan. I am living in orphanage from my birth, that's what the orphanage head told me. There are many people like me here. We are like this because the demon fox attacked and killed many people in this village. People take care of us are nice, they will tell lot of stories about great people like hokage. whenever teachers tell stories about demon fox, I heard one name that the teachers will always tell. Everyone calls him, lord fourth. All of us play together, but I don't have any friends nor they play together. I am weak and can't play long time and I was left behind.

Just like me there is another one who can't play with everyone. She is same height as me, but has blonde hair until her shoulder. We call her demon fox and avoid her. Teachers always says that she is the demon fox that killed our parents and many others also our beloved lord fourth.

Only one person come for her, that is old man. People call him lord third. He will always treat equally, including Nurumi. Sorry I forgot to tell you how I know her name. since no one will ling to be friends with me, I also don't like to be with them. When ever someone call her demon fox, she will shout at him/her, "I am telling you, I am not demon fox, I am Nurumi Uzumaki".

You see whenever I looks at Nurumi I am not able to call her demon fox, I don't know why and I always have a special feeling towards her.

One day, Nurumi is not present even after night fell. I went to a teacher, "teacher Nurumi is not present here".

She shouted angrily at me, "what does it has to do with you, if that damn demon fox is here or not. I would be good if that thing dead, not coming back"

I feared at her, I don't know why normally kind teacher become completely another person. My heart beating so fast and I feel like crying. But I felt I have to find Nurumi first. So, I ran away.

I don't know where I am going, after some time running. I stopped as I am not able to run and looked back at orphanage to see how much distance away from it. Surprisingly I am far away from orphanage. Normally, I won't able to run half of this much. So, I decided to sit under tree and take rest.

At that time, I heard crying, so I went to see who is crying. Surprisingly its Nurumi. I don't have courage to go to her, but when I see Nurumi crying. I moved towards her unknowingly, before I know I am behind her. I decided to follow my heart and put my hand on her shoulder.

When my hand touched her, she shivered and moved away from me, turned around and looked at me. Her eyes were widened and tears are formed and fell down. The more I looked at her the faster my heart beat, I am angry and my body shivering for unknown reason.

Nurumi run and hugged me tightly. Her tears are falling on my shoulder nonstop. The rage I felt in my heart died and a sweet feeling filled. I lifted a hand and touched her head unknowingly. Tears are falling from my eyes silently.

While crying she asked me, "why… why… everyone hate me?"

At this moment I decided, 'from now on no one allowed to bully her, no one… I am swearing to myself. I will make her happy.' After some time, she stopped crying and fell sleep in my embrace. I don't want to disturb her peaceful sleep so, we sleep here.

Next day, me and Nurumi we both are coming to orphanage, and expecting some good beating for not coming to orphanage. Nurumi is holding my hand tightly, "don't worry, I will protect you"

We were found by old man's guards. They are searching for us, since we are present in orphanage. They took us to old man.

Old man, "Naruto, Nurumi why are not present in orphanage. It is dangerous to live outside. Ok!"

Nurumi, "ok grandpa I will remember, I won't leave without telling"

But I got an idea, and went to old man, "hey old man! Are you not scared of demon fox?"

Nurumi looking at me with her eyes widen. But I ignored her and looking at old man who narrowed his eyes. I felt uncomfortable and fear, but for Nurumi, I decided to face him head. I still remember my promise to keep Nurumi happy and safe.

After few seconds of staring contest. Old man smiled and asked me, "why do you think I hate Nurumi, Naruto?"

"You see old man; we were told that she is the demon fox who killed our parents. So, we should not talk with her and avoid her."

When I completed, I felt an unexplainable feeling like due to old man's fearsome gauge.

"Tell me who told you, this is told you against hokage's order"

"Our teachers and head orphanage. Even though they treat us good, but they discriminate her. so, don't punish her severely"

Old man ordered the man next to him, who is wearing full black dress and weird mask, "go and investigate this incident. Since they challenged hokage, by following hokage's order. You know what to do, right?"

The weird masked man said, "yes, hokage-sama" and then disappeared.

I am surprised by his disappearance; I also want to learn how to disappear like that.

Old man looked at Nurumi, "Nurumi-chan, don't worry, from now on no one scold you. ok, if you have any problem come to me" and looked at me, "good Naruto, even though you are weak compare to others, you heart to face problems will make you good man. So, please protect her from now on"

I am happy for Nurumi, "you bet old man, I will protect her from now on"

Old man said to Nurumi, "you have a good friend Nurumi-chan, take care of his health"

Nurumi also smiled, "yes grandpa, I also protect Naruto", while patting her chest.

As soon as we left to play each other, old man face showed sad expression, "your son and daughters are depending on each other, even though they don't know they are twins. You are blessed with good children, Minato, Kushina"

After that the head orphanage and teachers are changed and no new teachers and students are harassing Nurumi. If students were pick on Nurumi, teachers will immediately scold them. Even though they express their dissatisfaction, but never scold us.

Like this nearly two years are passed. Soon the academy will start, there is one thing that devastating me is I am not able to attend. Because of my health, I am not eligible to shinobi. Even though this is a devastating for me, I am truly happy that Nurumi able to become shinobi. Since we both become seven years old, an eligible age to attend academy, we have to leave the orphanage.

During these two years another amazing thing happened, we found that we were born on same day. That makes us sibling. But no one told who is born earlier that other. We were always having fights, but after year fighting, on our seventh birth day after cake was cut, we both looks at each other,

Nurumi and me both said at same time, "Nurumi (Naruto), you will be my big sister (big brother) from now on"

I am shocked at her face and same goes for her. after a moment we were laughing for a minute nonstop.

I said Nurumi after calming down, "you will be my big sister, Nurumi" and Nurumi continued from there, "and you will be my big brother, Naruto"

we gave each other gifts, and spent rest of the night talking and slowly fall sleep.

------SCENE CHANGE------

After thinking for so long, I come up with several problems that I need to solve. First, a place to live. Since, no one will give a place to live for two eight-year kids. Second thing is money, since Nurumi attends academy for next six years, she needs money for buying tools and books.

I am able come up with an idea but I don't know that old man accepts it, so I decided to poach Nurumi.

"Nurumi, since we have to leave the orphanage. We don't have my place to go. Why don't we go and ask old man hokage?"

Nurumi nodded at my suggestion, we went to hokage tower to meet old man. After one hour of waiting, we finally got permission to enter into hokage office. Of course, I let Nurumi enter first, since she will start the discussion first.

We both went and stand infront of his table, Nurumi, "grandpa, you see, since I am attending the academy soon, I have to leave orphanage. But because of big brother Naruto health, I can't leave him. So, why don't you give us a home and some money for us to live"

Nurumi has one other quality, she talks bluntly with out any restrain, of course that is only with people who are very close to her, its either me or this old man.

The old man surprised first and looked at me, as he is able to guess, this is my idea. Since I don't want to accept, I shake my head. The old man took a puff and released it, looked at Nurumi,

"Nurumi-chan, when I said I will help, that is only for the problems of beyond your capabilities, ok"

Nurumi fell into a deep thought, since this isn't going any ware. I decided to intervene, "hokage-sama, these are indeed problems beyond our capabilities. Do you think people are willing to give a room for demon fox?"

Nurumi face becomes gloomy, I patted her shoulder and her face become normal. Since the discrimination is common for her, she usually won't care about. But when she heard from Naruto, she felt like nails are poked into her heart.

After thinking for a while, "what do you think Naruto?", hokage directly asked Naruto. Naruto take deep breath, "since Nurumi has her last name, may be their family has home. If that is so then we no longer need to search for a place"

Hokage fall back to his chair and smoking, after some time, "ok it will be ready in few days"

I decided to add some more, "along with that, if you can provide the family assets. Which will help us to live. You see since, Nurumi has to attend academy, she needs to eat healthy food, medicines, books, tools…. Like that there are many others."

After listening everything hokage asked seriously, "what are you planning Naruto?"

Hearing old man serious voice, I decided to open up, "nothing serious old man, I just want start a business to get better life, since no one in this village able to accept us. I want to change their view of Nurumi in my own way. Unlike Nurumi, I can't become shinobi, so my only option is become popular with civilians. What! is it wrong?"

Listened to my honest opinion, "Ok! I will allow. But you have to provide every detail of expenditure except your monthly allowance. Am I clear?"

Me and Nurumi were happy and accepted. After we left, this old man murmuring, "really blood is thicker than water."

After two weeks old man allowed us to move in to home where Nurumi parents used to live. There are no photos Nurumi's parents present at any ware. It's been a week since me and Nurumi were started living in this house.

We received some funds from old man under his name, since we are still minors. By using old man status as hokage I invested them into restaurants. Since hokage himself wants to invest, they also didn't reject. Soon, the restaurants business starts to grow due to popularity of hokage.

This old man is really good and caring man, even though I am using his name to do business. He just laughed and accepted.
