13 Chapter 13 : It's Getting Hot in Here

Note : Ok, so most of the story line is plotted out from here on out, but I don't quite have it finished. Just FYI. For your suggestions, I try to implement them into the story because most of them are interesting, but some won't because of the way I plan on taking the story so I'll try to incorporate as much as I can. I already have a few oddities like Kenji's mother and how that affects him. lol. Patience. Esketit.

------------------

"Where to?" Hansuke asked his teammates.

The four ninja in training were caught between a three way choice. All three ways were dark, with only the whites of their eyes to light the way. The crew decided to stick together and take the left.

"We can't just stand here, let's explore each way together, then we can return here and assess what we find. Stay quiet though." Kenji whispered. " We don't know what were up against."

His teammates nodded and proceeded with Kenji down the left tunnel.

------------------

Aya clenched her fist as she listened closely to the conversation of the century.

"Have you figured out anything yet?" Yagura asked.

The Commander smiled, "I did, Lord Mizukage."

He attentively placed himself in the chair, opposite of Yagura and leaned towards him. The Commander acted as if no one was supposed to learn this information which only made Aya more anxious.

"He's an Uchiha."

Both Yagura and Aya popped their eyeballs. Aya covered her mouth, hoping to muffle her cry of distress.

The commander proceeded. "At the beginning of the first trial, one of my best men transformed into the note with the objective written on it. Obviously it would be easily read with the powers of the sharingan. My subordinate saw the boy use it and reported back to me immediately. I came as fast as I could to report the same to you."

Yagura was still speechless.

"I had my suspensions he was hiding something, but I never imagined it at this scale.....May I make a suggestion Lord Mizukage?"

"I'm listening."

"I think we can still achieve our goal. Even more so that he's an Uchiha. As long as he's completely broken in, which I assure you he is, we can blindly make him loyal. And if he messes up, we brand him as a traitor to our village. A ploy by Konoha to infiltrate our ranks. If that happens, we can finally have a justified reason to ally the other villages against Konoha, since this is a time of 'peace'. Either way we win."

"I'm lucky to have you Commander." Yagura was pleased with the thought out perception of his most trusted advisor. "Let's follow through with our plans. And continue to watch the boy in the trails. I'm interested to hear what else he has up his sleeve."

-----------------

"How long does this tunnel go?" Asami frustratingly whispered.

No one answered. For they were cut off by four lunging Anbu, actually aiming to take their live. Asami deflected a kunai with a rock arm. Miki caught the kunai racing towards her face with ease. Hansuke and Kenji both met their opponents with drawn swords.

"Formation!" Kenji yelled.

Upon his order, all four kids retreated towards each other and covered every direction. Back to back.

Each kid fought off an Anbu soldier in defense while attentively keeping awareness of surroundings. One obvious skill, one that was drilled into them, was when infiltrating the enemy's base, they have the home field advantage. You don't. Anything could pop out of nowhere. Sure enough, something did. All four enemies wore backpacks. In an instant, a cloud of smoke replaced them and four more soldiers appeared. Not affected by the sudden change in momentum, the kids reinforced their position, ready to attack on the order.

Kenji smiled, Now is as good a time as any. Without breaking his focus on the enemy, Kenji said "Asami, make us a room of mud walls with the top exposed."

Asami hesitated. Kenji exclaimed, "Now!"

Asami kicked into gear.

Tiger. Hare. Boar. Dog.

"Earth Style : Mud Wall!"

Four small rock walls enclosed the team. The Anbu soldiers looked on with wonder and attention. They were curious, so they didn't attack. This was an assessment after all, but all stood on guard because they knew 'what' these kids were.

All was quiet, until a Click! noise sounded off behind the walls. A black sword emerged from the opening carrying surges of lightning. The Soldiers wanted to laugh, when the sword pulled to the side and began swinging in a horizontal circle around the enclosed space. A vortex of lightning crackled around the hallway. The spinning of the sword was only a flash in the eyes of the enemy. All eight of them were caught in the vortex. The cries of electrocution sprayed from all directions of the dirt hut until nothing could be heard except the crackling spin of a sword. Unconscious soldiers laid everywhere.

Kenji jumped onto the top of the wall and caught his sword perfectly. He examined the blade and rubbed his fist in tiny circles. Not wanting to leave a blemish on the blade.

His teammates hopped up beside him. Hansuke was not suprised whatsoever, but Miki and Asami didn't know what to say. From then on, they would never question their captains order.

"You still can't let go of that ninja wire can you?" Hansuke asked in a reminiscing voice.

"It's not even that impressive." Hansuke angled his head upward and crossed his arms.

"You're right." Kenji looked down with a sarcastic hurt in his face. "I mean...it can even beat you. If it's not that impressive, you must be a terrible ninja." Kenji stared a hole into the side of Hansuke's head. He then smiled.

Hansuke gave Kenji a stare while Miki and Asami chuckled. Moments like this is what kept these four sane. The Commander allowed them to joke around at times just to insure they wouldn't go insane and kill the entire village or something like that.

"Anyway, what should we do now." Miki asked with a little anxiety.

Asami assumed, "Well, this has to be the right way since these guys were guarding it, right?"

Hansuke agreed, "True, and who knows we might have a limited time to complete it. If we did, I doubt we would be told."

All four members agreed.

"Alright then, Lets hurry." Kenji lead with haste down the hall with his team on his heels.

---------------

When Aya heard the Commander's words, she panicked. And in her panic, she made a fatal mistake. Right when the report was finished, Aya zoomed away from the building which alerted the two men inside that someone was listening.

"Commander! After that person!"

"Yes Sir!"

The Commander flickered away, hot on the tail of the culprit. Aya knew he was there, she messed up, her emotions got the best of her and made her sloppy. But she didn't care. All she needed now was to make it to 'him'. Her friend needed this information now.

Aya flew as fast as she could out of the village and started roaming through the trees. "Sorry Kenji," She whispered, "I guess I'll be gone longer than I thought."

Note : Ok so I feel like I'm dragging these trails kind of slow, so I'll try to speed them up and get to the real sheet that happens after. Keep telling me what you want to see no matter how small it is. I'm always wanting to make this story unique in it's own way. I'm out. YERRR!
