64 Ch 63 : Dangerous situation

"[Summoning]!" After the three were repelled by the Jonin, Sakura quickly used her summoning jutsu.

A huge cloud of white smoke rose as Sakura summoned Lapras.

"Lapras! Please, use Ice beam to disrupt the enemy movement!"

"Lapras!!" Just like Sakura's instruction, the Lapras immediately use Ice Beam.

And even though the Jonin could avoid the Ice beam, the situation turned a lot more unfavorable to him now as it is now 1 Vs. 4 situations.

The Jonin was like a cornered beast. He rushed into the team six trios and raised his pair of short swords, and swept through them.

Kumogakure's Ninja was popular for its lightning jutsu and swordsmanship, and this Jonis was not an exception. With speed far greater than the trio, he quickly launched himself in the direction of Ami.

" Ami!!!"

Hibachi though, was very fast to respond. The moment he saw the Jonin move, Hibachi blinked toward Ami as he tried to use the blue ring Octopus to hit the Jonin back.

However, the enemy was a Jonin, and Hibachi was not quick enough for that. The Jonin kicked Ami's body like a cannonball and slashed toward Hibachi's neck with his blade.

Luckily, Hibachi was very quick with his substitution, and the moment the Jonin blade was about to cut his throat, Hibachi's figure was replaced by a log.

The log has been sliced into two, but Hibachi was unharmed on the side.

Sakura and Hibachi now had a bit of panic on their face. Ami was disabled before she could even do anything, and now the two must handle this Jonin by themself.

"Bah, that substitution is annoying. If you are a man, do a frontal battle!" Seeing Hibachi's substitution, the Jonin tried to provoke him.

As an experienced Jonin from Kumogakure, he had been battling for years, but it was his first time seeing such a fast substitution. He was confident that Hibachi couldn't defeat him, but that substitution annoyed the hell out of him.

"Uchimizu!" Sakura didn't give the Jonin any chance to rest as she condensed water droplets on her hand and launched it in the direction of the Jonin.

BANG!!! BANG!!!

Two of the Uzhimizu hit, but because Sakura's power was too small, it only left a minor injury to the Jonin.

Still, the latter reacted swiftly. He flashed and appeared right in front of Sakura, engaging Sakura in close combat.

"What a weird technique. But sadly, your power is still far too weak?!" The Jonin said with surprise as he swung his sword at Sakura.

Sakura didn't reply. She narrowly dodged the sword and tried to counterattack with her fist.

She still clearly remembers Sanada's words. In the battle of close combat, the first to lose concentration would be the loser.

The Jonin in front of her could not be compared to Sanada or Kakashi, but even so, she was still too much for Sakura to handle alone. Swords marks and bleeding began to appear all over Sakura's body.

The more she tried to engage the Jonin in close combat, the more cornered she was.

At this moment, Sakura suddenly heard a voice from behind.

" Duck Sakura!!"

It was Hibachi. He had smeared the blue-ring octopus poison on his kunai and threw it in the direction of the Jonin.

If the attack could hit, then it would be a sure kill to the Jonin. But because Hibachi screamed before, the Jonin had some time to react and was able to successfully dodge the kunai.

"Lightning Release: Thunderbolt!" After deflecting the kunai smeared in poison, the Jonin threw his sword into the air as he quickly made hand signs.

Lightning began to gather on his hand as he extended both arms, releasing a high discharge through his palm, targeting both Sakura and Hibachi simultaneously.

Just like what Itachi said, every jutsu has a weakness, and so was Hibachi's substitution jutsu.

Hibachi's substitution jutsu's weakness was the fact that it couldn't avoid a huge area attack.

Hibachi tried to avoid his substitution, but in the end, he still got hit by the discharged lightning.

" Ouch!!!"

Hibachi screamed, which made Sakura's attention was distracted for a bit.

" Little girl, you should not pay attention to somewhere else when you fought. Didn't your sensei teach you that!"

Along with that words, a sword slashed Sakura's body.

Blood splattered everywhere, but fortunately, the slash wasn't deep enough, and Sakura was not in a fatal injury.

Sakura jumped back a few meters, trying to widen their distance.

Right now, the situation was very bad for her.

Two of her teammates were injured, and she must handle the Jonin on her own.

Running away was also not an option. If she ran, then Hibachi and Ami would definitely be killed.

There was a barrier that separated Sanada-Sensei from everyone in his surrounding, and for Sakura, who interacted with Sanada-Sensei the most, she felt that barrier clearer than anyone else.

' No.. I must be stronger. I have vowed that I want to be someone you can trust. Someone that you can share your burden with and someone who could walk alongside you in your journey. And for that... Such a little setback wouldn't hold me up here!'
