53 Ch 52 : A bit of Sanada's past

The Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, was lying down motionless on the roof of the Hokage building, trying to catch a breather.

After just a few minutes of battling the two previous Hokages and Uchiha Fugaku, the three had proved to be too much for the current Third Hokage to handle.

The Third Hokage was past his prime and even with the fact that the three Edo-Tensei'd people were only empty shells of their original glorious selves, the three were still annoying to deal with when having to fight them together.

The First Hokage's Wood style, the Second Hokage's Water style and Uchiha Fugaku's Sharingan.

No ordinary ninjas could deal with three of them together, especially so because of the special trait of Edo-Tensei that almost made them immortal.

In the anime, even if the body of the Edo-Tensei people were to be reduced into atoms they could still be restored! Only a sealing jutsu would work against a dumb cheat technique like this.

"Damn it! It seems like I have no other choice!"

The Third Hokage's gaze suddenly became firm, his old eyes were filled with regret, but that soon turned into the determination to regard death as life.

"When the tree leaves dance,

One shall find flames.

The fire's shadow will illuminate the village,

And once again, tree leaves shall bud anew."

The Third Hokage put his hands together as he began to create hand signs.

"Sealing Jutsu; Dead Demon Consuming Seal!"

Originally, after the Third Hokage summoned the Shinigami, He was able to easily drag the soul of both the first and second Hokage.

Even Orochimaru lost both his hands leaving him unable to use ninjutsu.

But this time after Sanada's appearance Orochimaru had become a lot more cautious.

Orochimaru looked at the hand movements of his former teacher, the Third Hokage, and a sneer appeared on his face.

"Teacher, teacher, how could I make such a big mistake as to let you finish your jutsu...

"Originally, this trick was reserved for that annoying one, but let's try it out on teacher first!"

Puff!

An unexpected sound of a sharp blade penetrating a heart could be heard.

The face of the guard team outside the formation changed from dullness to shock and then to panic.

"Third Hokage-Sama!" They exclaimed.

It was the moment that the Third Hokage put all his focus to summon the Shinigami, a man with black hair, similar to Sanada's previous appearance, appeared right behind the Third Hokage.

The forest the First Hokage created before had been such a perfect camouflage that the Third Hokage was unable to detect that person's presence behind him.

"Poof!"

Blood spurted out.

Third Hokage turned his head around, and when he could see the entirety of the man's face, he was both surprised and angry.

"Is that you…Kaedehara Sora."

Kaedehara Sora, the father of the original Sanada.

Previously a member of the ANBU under the Third Hokage. The reason for his death was listed to be because of an enemy ambush during the mission.

Yet, the truth was actually a lot more bitter.

With his civilian origins, Kaedehara Sora had polished his spying and hiding skills to a whole new level and the probability of the cause of his death being an enemy ambush were pretty low.

"Do you still remember him, sensei? He is the one that you sent to die with your own hands. I still remember that even before his last moment, he still said that reinforcements would arrive, and that...

..he must hold me back."

The dead body of Kaedehara Sora had a cold smile on his face.

Kaedehara Sora's Edo-Tensei'd body had no feelings at all. He was obviously deprived of his personality by Orochimaru.

The kunai in the heart of the Third Hokage stirred, and he felt his vitality quickly dropping.

"Sarutobi!"

Enma saw this scene and tried his best to retreat back to the Third Hokage as quickly as possible, but he was being held back by the First and Second Hokage.

"Sensei, now I want to know what will your precious Jonin think if he knew the truth. His parents were sent to death by the Hokage. I want to see how his supposed "will of fire" will be turned into a curse of hatred."

Orochimaru smirked as he licked his lips.

The reason that Orochimaru didn't go all out on Sasuke before was for this.

With his wicked personality, Orochimaru wanted to see how Sanada would despair when he got to hear the bitter truth behind the death of his parents, and how he would turn to resent the village.

Orochimaru smiled while the Third Hokage despaired. The Third Hokage's face filled up with regret.

When someone was about to die, it was said that they would see their life flashing before their eyes and that was what the Third Hokage was seeing right now.

All the sins and misdeeds he had committed with Danzo, the Third Hokage, now regretted it all. But sadly, there was no medicine for regret.

The Third Hokage tried to say something, but the barrier that supposedly was able to block the two from the outside world suddenly cracked.

"Fish-Man Karate Ogi: Buraikan!!!!!"

A voice was heard as the strong barrier was broken into pieces.

A man with coral hair in a Jonin outfit arrived at the top of the Hokage building, right between the Third Hokage and Orochimaru.

"I'm sorry to intrude in this touching reunion of teacher and disciple, but Kaedehara Sanada has arrived!"
