180 Ch 176 : Tsunade preparing for the next Hokage

Not long after, Sasuke returned. His eyes were red, but not because of Sharingan. It seems that the talk with Itachi had made him cry a lot.

However, there was something out of place here.

" Sasuke, what's that?"

Sanada asked while pointing at the "thing" in Sasuke's hand.

" Ah.. don't worry about it, Sensei. He was just too stubborn, saying that his time was near and he should die for the better of us. Therefore, I decided to punch him until he fainted before bringing him with me!"

Sasuke said. His eyes were smiling, but for some reason, Sanada shivered when he saw this smile.

' The brocon is back... Damn Sasuke..."

Nevertheless, this was a good thing for him.

As of right now, a new prompt appeared on Sanada's mind.

[ DING!!! Congratulations on completing the Special Mission.]

[ The fate of the two brothers.]

[ Let Sasuke confront Itachi and resolve the misunderstanding between them.]

[ Reward: Special UR Gacha ticket.]

It was pretty unexpected, but it seems that the result of saving Itachi was the one that the system valued as one of the best courses of action Sasuke could take.

Sanada just shrugged it off, though. Everything worked well to his advantage and now was finally the time for him to go back home alongside Sasuke and the fainted Itachi.

Back to Konoha, the atmosphere in Konoha seemed to be a bit different from usual.

After all, not long from this, a five Kage summit would be held in Konoha.

Usually, the five Kage summits would be held in a neutral country like the land of iron. However, this time three of the five big ninja villages have endorsed Konoha as the gathering place. Therefore, Kumo and Iwa could only accept the decision.

Among everyone here, the busiest one was Tsunade.

It has not been long since Konoha's first big trial, then the problem regarding Suna's invasion and Akatsuki, and now this.

Being Hokage was not easy, and if she could, she really wanted to let another person take this position from her. Nonetheless, now was not the right time. She should at least deal with the Akatsuki and Madara's problem first before stepping down as a Hokage.

In her office, Kakashi was standing before her.

Tsunade looked at Kakashi's white hair and a guilty yet nostalgic feeling began to rose in her heart.

Kakashi though didn't show the slightest signs of being under tension while standing before Tsunade as he quietly waited for her orders.

He was Kakashi Hatake, one of Konoha's greatest geniuses and the one known as the Sharingan Kakashi or Copy Ninja Kakashi.

He was the son of Konoha White Fang, Konoha's hero in the Second Ninja war that in fact was deemed as a very big threat to the Hokage position that Danzo eventually believed that he needed to get rid of White Fang.

Looking at Kakashi, Tsunade reminisced for quite some time. Even though she was not that close to White Fang, the two, after all still comrades that fought together in the Second Ninja War.

At that time during White Fang's death, Tsunade already saw there was something wrong, but she had never delved into it deeply. Only after Sanada spit the fact in front of anyone that the guilt began to emerge in her heart.

But little did she know that her action of reminiscing was viewed in a different light by Kakashi.

' Hokage-sama... she wouldn't be getting interested on me right... Let's just leave it for Sanada..'

Two people in a closed room looking at each other intently. It wasn't weird that Kakashi get the wrong intention.

" *Cough* Tsunade-sama, is there anything wrong with me?"

"Sorry, sorry, I've been distracted. Kakashi, how about you? Have you been better these days?" Asked Tsunade with a smile.

After all of Danzo's acts have been revealed, the village is in a small turmoil. And because of that, Tsunade decided to give a few rest days to the people related to the incident, and among them was the Kakashi here.

"Thanks for your concern, Hokage Sama. Please don't blame yourself for that incident. I have been very grateful that you have shed light on all of Danzo's misdeeds, and I believe that my father also didn't want you to hold yourself in contempt for that incident." Kakashi answered politely.

Tsunade sighed relief when she heard Kakashi's response. She knew that Kakashi was just being polite, still it made her feel a lot better.

"Kakashi, please don't be that polite to me. After all, I was also indebted to your father in our last war together. By the way, what do you think of the Hokage position?"

" ??? "

Kakashi looked confused, but before he could ask, Tsunade had stopped beating around the bush.

" Just answer me Kakashi, and I want an honest answer!"

Hearing this, Kakashi stopped and pondered for a while. But eventually, he decided to say what was on his mind.

" In my Opinion Tsunade-sama, a Hokage must be the one that could guide the village. A proper Hokage must have wisdom, patience, leadership skills, and powerful jutsu, and many ambitious youths aspire to become Hokage one day. There are good reasons to seek this office, but one must be aware that becoming Hokage isn't all fun and games."

Tsunade was obviously satisfied as she heard Kakashi's answers. She just nodded before she said:

" Good, I like your answer. It is decided then, you will be the next Hokage after me!"

Kakashi: "Nani!!!????"
