134 Chapter 129: Dinner

After setting the table, the family of 9 sat at their seats as they talked to each other about various things.

The table was structured with Ayako, Kuna, and Mito being on one side of the table with the children, while Tobirama, Ashina, and Haru sat at the other end, with Tsunade in the middle.

They had long since agreed upon these positions to prevent conversations about the state of the Village or other political matters from dominating the conversations.

And with Tsunade in the middle, it allowed her to participate in both conversations and interject in both issues in the Village and in their household.

"Hiruzen is losing more and more control over the ROOT as days go by. It won't be long before Danzo begins to act independently from Hiruzen entirely if he is not doing so already." Haru said as he thought about the dangerous organizations that had infiltrated many enemies over the past few years.

While their intel had aided in the survival of many of the Village's shinobi over the past few years, the growing lack of oversight that the Council had over the organization concerned Haru greatly.

A growing fear is that Danzo would eventually grow to the point where he needed no oversight from anyone, even the Hokage.

Such a notion would be allowing a threat to easily grow, with his wish being for Ashina or Tobirama to join him in placing even more restrictions on the organization.

Ashina due to the Uzumaki Clan's great importance in matters that involve Fuinjutsu and barriers.

And Tobirama due to the massive influence he still holds over the older generation of Konoha, something that he had not used a single time since his return.

"If Sakumo and his group didn't intervene in this affair, then that means that Hiruzen is not concerned too deeply with the changes with the ROOT. I trust his decision-making." Tobirama said while taking another sip of his drink, dismissing the topic before it could go too far.

Tsunade looked on but remained silent, as she had greatly distanced herself from the politics in the Village.

While she also did not trust Danzo and had created her own version of a countermeasure for him, she would not actively antagonize the man for no reason, even if he destroyed her clan in the original world.

As long as he stayed away from her family and did not actively endanger the Village, she would let the man do whatever he pleased.

Though the moment he crossed a single line, she would ensure the downfall of such a dangerous individual.

She then turned to the other side of the table as she heard them begin to discuss putting the children in school.

However, before she could vehemently object, she was interrupted by a question from Tobirama.

"So, Tsuna, how is your work at the Hospital? I noticed that you came in quite late today." Tobirama said to her Tsuna.

Tsunade could only sweat as she realized Nono's words earlier seemed to be quite true in a sense.

"Well, the influx of Shinobi at the Hospital always increases around this time of the year. It has been causing me to be a little late getting off lately." Tsunade said with an awkward laugh.

Though her laughter quickly ceased as everyone with the exception of the children turned their heads to the door.

A knock then sounded as Haru got up and opened the door, revealing an ANBU agent adorned with a rat mask at the door.

He turned his head towards Tsunade as he spoke

"Lady Tsunade, Lord Hokage has requested your presence in his office."

Tsunade simply put her green jacket back on and left out after saying her goodbyes promising not to be too late.

Right after she closed the door, she disappeared in the eyes of the ANBU agent, astonishing him with her speed as he headed to the Hokage's office to meet her there.
