41 Chapter 41 : Shikamaru's Plan
Shikamaru only saw irritation on Orochimaru's face, he wasn't sure but he would guess why. After all, he wasn't the first to suddenly come up to stop the big bad villain like a hero. After thinking about it, Shikamaru just thought of not mentioning this.
"Well if you are really in that big of a hurry !" Shikamaru shrugged and then ran at the sannin after taking out a kunai. He even saw Orochimaru rolling his eyes before opening his mouth, a a thousands of snakes came out of his mouth.
'Seems like he is a little too much in a hurry now,' Shikamaru muttered and took out a single kunai, but there was a tag connected at the end of the kunai.
With precise movements, Shikamaru threw it at the upcoming snakes while still running towards them. Orochimaru on the side raised his one eyebrow in confusion or maybe in amusement.
Why the genin was running towards the hundreds of snakes coming towards him? That was the only thing he was wondering.
The next second, the explosion tag in the kunai exploded making a loud sound and smoke. Enough disruption that Orochimaru lost sight of Shikamaru.
As his snakes were blasted off, Orochimaru who was just playing along with the kid still now suddenly got alert. Losing his sight on a genin is not as dangerous as it was embarrassing.
'Where did he go,' Orochimaru looked around, his senses spread to the max but he couldn't find the Nara boy. He knew that he wasn't dead.
He was about to do something more before another lightning bolt came hurdling down on him from the sky, he almost forgot that there was a giant human face bird flying on top of his head which could even do lightning jutsu.
He was about to move and attack the bird but that was the time when his body felt restricted around him. Eyes widen he looks around just to notice this shadow connected with Shikamaru who appears behind him all of a sudden.
This further stunned him, he didn't even sense the boy coming and going. Getting even more serious Orochimaru resisted.
Shikamaru though wasn't done, knowing he couldn't hold down Orochimaru for long, he never tried to do that in the first place. In fact, he wasn't even in front of him. That was a shadow clone while the real was hiding somewhere in the shadow. Using Nue, shadow he places his shadow clone to hold Orochimaru for a few seconds.
Those few seconds were enough actually. He secretly shared the message with his team and others, while strategically putting them in Orochimaru's blind spot. This much time was enough for him to share his plan with them. He wanted them to run.
To his own surprise, he was only able to hold back Uncle Orochi for 5 seconds. Frankly, twice as much time as he was expecting, kudos to his clone.
The Snake Sannin sense his perfect vessel running away. He immediately became serious. While Shikamaru took out his chakra blades and rushed at him, he was done playing.
With lightning-fast speed, Orochimaru forms hand signs.
Fire style, great fireball Jutsu.
The jutsu was performed almost point-blank. Engulfing the entirety of Shikamaru's clone, well Orochimaru too knew that it was a clone when it popped away after the fireball hit him.
"You too do run away huh, interesting," Getting a little interested in how Shikamaru was able to hide himself from his sense, Orochimaru thought of giving his curse seal to Shikamaru too. But before that, he needs to catch up with his perfect vessel.
Not knowing that Shikamaru was counting on him to go after Sasuke. Shikamaru makes everyone run in a different direction. when knowing where he is going to go, Shikamaru while letting others run in various directions, purposefully drags Sasuke in a direction he wants Orochimaru to come.
The reason behind dispersing others was to make Orochimaru believe that Shikamaru just wanted to save as many people as possible. Not having any other motive behind it. And he fell for it.
Oh how wrong he was.
He acted just like how Shikamaru thought he would and went after Sasuke, well Shikamaru too was with Sasuke so technically behind both of them.

After only 10 minutes both Shikamaru and Sasuke who were complaining about running away at first and then complaining about getting separated from his team were intercepted by Orochimaru.
'Hmm the placement is a little off but that will do.' Shikamaru thought and hmm.
"I have enough of your running," Uncle Orochi said. Once again Sasuke's one tomoe Sharingan came alive. Ready to fight. He wasn't sure about Shikmaru's plan, to him Shikamaru was just making way for others to run away.
Maybe this time he just wanted to be done with it and thus he he took out the big guns. Quickly forming hand signs, Orochimaru summons a giant snake. Shikamaru could say that it was not the boss summon of the Snake clan. Manda.
How?
Well, it wasn't as big and second it didn't argue when Uncle Orochi started to order him around.
With dangerous fangs pointed at both Shikamaru and Sasuke, the giant snake approaches them with the intention of eating both of them.
Sasuke got ready to dodge but Shikamaru had no plan like that. He can dodge but to put his plan to work, he needs to move Orochimaru from his position.
With a little sigh, he finally acted. 'I wasn't planning on using this but whatever.
By forming a single hand sign he felt a deep hole in his already dwindling chakra reserves and the next moment his Shadow Extended.
"OROCHI," Shikamaru said as a giant snake, maybe even bigger than the on Orochimaru summon came out and intercepted the upcoming snake.
