Chapter 11: Absolute Fist
Pow pow pow!
Before the sun has risen, the sound of punching fists could be heard from the backyard of the Namikaze Estate. Today is a public holiday and Hinata was taken by Kurenai sensei for a shopping spree.
Naruto was gowned in an orange training suit with a belt around his waist. Dressed casually, he was practicing a new Taijutsu technique.
Last night, after searching around his father's library, Naruto discovered a Taijutsu scroll written personally by the fourth Hokage. The information in the scroll was very detailed and full of insight from his father.
"As expected from my dad. He is very meticulous in everything he does." Naruto thought.
Naruto opened the scroll and started reading.
**I, Minato Namikaze have been pondering about Taijutsu since I was still an academy student. When I reached 20 years old, I finally created this Taijutsu technique. This technique is called [Absolute Fist].
This self-derived Taijutsu style of mine is as gentle as the Hyuga clan Gentle Fist and have the destructive power of the Strong Fist. However, by practicing this technique, you would also obtain complete control over every part of your body and muscles.
A shinobi with a complete control on his body body will find his dexterity and agility improved tremendously. His attacks would be incomparably accurate, and he would be able to move every nook and corner of the body according to his will to avoid enemy attacks.
By mastering this technique, you would eventually be able to wield any kind of weapon with extreme proficiency without any specialized training..... this technique has 5 stages and after mastering the 5th stage your style will be fluid and calm like a water and as destructive as lightning and can wield any thing with extreme profeciency**
Naruto nodded with amazement. He understood this logic of having perfect control over his body. However, the ability to obtain extreme proficiency in multiple type of weapon without any arduous training is truly heaven defying!
A true expert that are able to use multiple kind of weapon is extremely terrifying. In the hand of an expert, even a wooden stick could become as deadly as a sword.

Naruto then went over the other scrolls.
Suddenly the writing style changes. Naruto was surprised. This writing style is very neat and feminine. "Is it written by my mother?" Naruto conjectured.
**This scroll will record my insight on Kenjutsu. To begin with, besides Fuinjutsu, my Uzumaki clan is also famed for our Kenjutsu.
In fact, in Uzushiogakure, the city where my clan was founded is also nicknamed as the 'City of Sealing Swords'. Legend said that the founding ancestor of the Uzumaki were able to seal the devil and slash the throats of demons with his sword alone.

"Wait a minute! Isn't it possible to train in all of them if I use multiple shadow clone then?" Naruto thought.
Naruto immediately lowered his head and begin to read, flipping through the three top class sword technique possesses by the Uzumaki clan.
"Cloudburst Manual" This was the first one Naruto looked at. After all, this was the top-class technique which had made his mother famous.
[Cloudburst Manual]. Its attacks were soft yet unending, seemingly as limitless as the rain falling from the skies during a rainstorm, making the enemy find it difficult to even dodge.
In turn, its defenses were utterly airtight.
The Cloudburst Manual was the most defensive technique among the three major Uzumaki Kenjutsu.
In a battle, defensive abilities were even more important than attacking abilities!
There was the saying that 'defense is king'. Although attacks were beautiful to look at, it was defense which truly gave the best chances at victory.
In a life and death battles between two shinobi, defense was also important. When encountering an expert more powerful than your level, one might reach the point of only being able to defend and not attack. If your defense was strong, then perhaps you might still have a chance to live. But once an attack-focused people encountered those who were even stronger than them, the minute their attacks were not able to harm the opponent, they were finished.
"What a good sword technique." Naruto sighed in amazement as he read, before picking up the other two scrolls.
[Meteor Art]. This was something which the ancestors of the Uzumaki clan, when roaming and training themselves elsewhere in the world, had been lucky enough to find. The sword technique only contains three sword stances.
All the stances were used to attack. When the stances were used, it was as though it contained the power of a falling meteor. There was no question that in terms of attack power, it was the undisputed champion among the sword techniques of the Uzumaki Clan!
However, although its strengths were apparent, its weaknesses were also apparent. This was because these three stances were purely offensive, without any defensive stances.
Having no defensive capabilities during battles would be suicidal. Thus, very few people would actually choose to train in this sword technique.
Naruto thought for a moment.
"If I can train in the Meteor Art together with the Cloudburst Manual which have flawless defense, then it would be able to balance each other out." Naruto couldn't help but sigh for his wisdom.
"Stop getting full of yourself kid. If it was that easy, everyone in the world can be a sword expert already." Kurama snorted.
Naruto let out a chuckle before he picked up the last scroll.
"Hurm, the last one was the original Kenjutsu created by the first ancestor of the Uzumaki clan." Naruto began to flip through the [Sealing Sword].
The [Sealing Sword] was praised as the most complicated from the thousands of sword techniques possessed by the Uzumaki clan.
By combining the fuinjutsu of the Uzumaki into the sword technique, every slash would be deadly to the opponent. The technique was extremely complicated to master.
It was said that in every generation of the Uzumaki, less than five person could master this technique. Once one truly mastered it, the user could seal the opponent's chakra network or even their lifeforce itself with a single stab.

Naruto closed his eyes, pondering all the sword technique he had read.
In terms of being the most awe-inspiring and most complicated, it would be the [Sealing Sword].
In terms of having the greatest defense, it would be the [Cloudburst Manual].
In terms of the most powerful attack and the deepest, most profound principles, it would be the [Meteor Art].
"Alright, I will start with [Sealing Sword]!" Naruto quickly made his decision.
Although he can train all three sword techniques simultaneously using the multiple shadow clone ninjutsu, the memories and experience he would acquire after dispelling his clones would be mixed-up and disorganized, making it counterproductive instead. Thus, it's better to focus on mastering one technique first before moving on to the others.
Furthermore, besides kenjutsu, Naruto also needs to practice his taijutsu, ninjutsu and a lot of other things.
In a person's growth, there was a saying that planning counted for more than effort.
If one knew the right way one needed to advance forwards, he could succeed in the shortest time with minimal effort. But if one just blindly worked hard, he might just be running in-place without improving, or perhaps even going backwards.

Naruto summoned almost a thousand clones into the training ground.
Naruto smiled. "Alright guys! Let's keep it up a notch!"
