54 Chapter 54: Kankuro and Temari

Naruto, Temari, and Kankuro looked at each other, a bit confused since they hadn't expected to be shooed away by the Kazekage.

Naruto chuckled and started talking to break the tension that had slowly formed between him and the other two, "Well, Temari-san, Kankuro-san, how about you guys show me that training field of yours?" Naruto asked with a grin.

Temari nodded at Naruto with a stoic face "Very well Naruto-san, follow me." As soon as she finished she turned around and started walking.

Naruto sent an inquisitive eyebrow at Kankuro who simply shrugged as if he was confused himself.

Nonetheless, Naruto and Kankuro followed after her, it was already starting to become quite dark outside with the last rays of the sun disappearing over the large walls of Sunagakure, their only source of light being the moon and the candles around them.

They walked for a few minutes until they arrived at a rather sand-less place, it was a large room inside that was well lit, multiple weapons and puppets lined the walls, including the fans that Suna-nin used.

Naruto looked around the room with interest, he inspected the war fans and puppets and was quite intrigued by them, Konoha didn't have many special weapons that were unique to them but that didn't quite concern Naruto, what did though were the designs of the puppets.

Naruto could see how they would be effective, but it didn't have much use for him, he had shadow clones after all.

"So you guys want to show me some cool jutsus or should I start?" Naruto asked jokingly.

Temari looked at Naruto "I saw the fights you had in the Chunin Exam, I doubt we could show you much." She said with a serious face.

Naruto chuckled "You should really learn how to relax you know? And I doubt there is nothing that you could teach me, there is always something to learn after all." Naruto said sagely.

Temari actually smiled slightly but quickly neutralized her expression, "I guess me and Kankuro could show you some techniques for the war fan and the puppets."

Naruto smiled "See? I told you there'd be something you can show me, I heard you needed a wind affinity to use the fans effectively, I guess we're in luck since I have a wind affinity." Naruto said.

Temari actually looked intrigued now "Come, I'll show you how to use the war fans, Kankuro can show you how to use puppets later." Temari said while sending Kankuro a glare.

Kankuro looked hurt "Hey! Puppets are really cool!" he exclaimed.

Temari simply ignored him and grabbed one of the fans on the wall.

Temari started explaining the basics of using the fan, "Using the fan is quite hard, I admit it requires less effort than mastering puppeteering but it requires your chakra to be fluid and sharp at the same time which takes a long time to master, at higher levels you can even use the fan to fly, I can't do that quite yet though."

She opened the fan which was almost as big as she herself was and swung it, a large gale of wind was immediately generated, Naruto observed how she did it and decided to try copying the movement of the chakra.

He grabbed a different fan and swung it similarly to how Temari did, a gust of wind was formed but since Naruto's movements were different his flow was off and the wind generated wasn't even comparable to what Temari could do.

Temari smiled at Naruto "That was actually pretty good for a first try, I'm actually quite surprised I thought it would take you a lot longer to get the hang of it." She praised Naruto.

Naruto nodded, he was starting to like Temari more and more, she was beatufil and humble, she didn't get jealous even when Naruto showed a bit of talent, he liked these kinds of people.

The two spent quite some time practicing together and eventually Naruto managed to get the skill for fan wielding.

Description: Tessenjutsu is the mastery of using a folding war fan, at higher levels you can even control wind itself.]

There was an immediate qualitative increase in Naruto's mastery of the war fan, even Temari seemed to notice.

Temari nodded "It seems like you've found your own rhythm, if you keep up your training with a war fan then you can actually become quite good at it, but I think it's time for you to show me something, no?"

Naruto chuckled, "I guess it is isn't it?"

Naruto pondered for a second, there were many things he could teach her but he wanted it to be something useful to her, "I figure you have yet to learn the Shunshin?" Naruto asked, Temari nodded in affirmation.

"Then I guess I can teach you how to use it, if you want I can also show you some Fuinjutsu, it is my strongest weapon and is useful in any situation," Naruto said.

Temari seemed interested in Fuinjutsu but Naruto would first teach her how to perform the Shunshin jutsu.

The two started training with each other, Naruto showed Temari the signs for it and gave her some tips on how to better control the high-speed movement, you could fine-tune where you wanted to land by manipulating the chakra that you put into the jutsu but that took a high level of chakra control, something that Temari didn't have.

Naruto showed Temari a few different forms of chakra control, she had yet to learn how to walk on water so it was understandable that her chakra control was of a lesser level.

The two spent a few hours training together and it had become dark outside, Temari was surprised that so much time had passed, it had been a long time since she had had this much fun with someone, especially someone outside her family.

Naruto looked at Temari's expression and smiled, she looked a lot more relaxed and happier than before, Naruto could see that her family situation wasn't the greatest and she didn't look very happy so he was glad that he had managed to cheer her up.

Naruto looked at the moon and realized that he should head back to his room, "Well Temari, it's been fun training with you, I'll be staying in Suna for a few more days with my team, if you want we could get some food tomorrow, maybe you could show me around Suna a bit?" Naruto asked Temari with a smile.

Temari blushed slightly and nodded her head, "That sounds like fun, I also enjoyed spending time with you Naruto, I'll come and get you tomorrow at noon, if that's alright?" Temari said.

Naruto nodded and smiled at her one last time before leaving.

Temari smiled at Naruto's retreating figure and decided to leave as well, she had to prepare herself for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Kankuro was crying in a corner "They forgot about me..." He said while tears came out of his eyes slowly.
