23 Chapter 23: 2nd year

The academy only had 2 weeks of vacation for its students which were around the end of the year in December, though the final exams were usually around February or March depending on the progress of the students, so Naruto and his class didn't really get much time to get used to being second years.

Naruto walked into a classroom and searched for his two friends who somehow always managed to get there earlier than him, he walked up to them and sat down.

Sasuke grunted at Naruto and greeted him "Hello there mister first place." Shino simply nodded at Naruto.

Naruto grinned, "What is your ass still sore after the kicking it received yesterday?" this managed to piss Sasuke off evident by the tick mark on his forehead.

Sadly for Naruto before he could piss off Sasuke even more the door to the classroom opened and Iruka entered the classroom.

Iruka smiled at his class, he was glad that no one failed the tests and got held a year back "Hello there my second-year students, this year we are going to start using our chakra to do some jutsu."

The class erupted in excitement before Iruka could continue his explanation.

Iruka's mouth twitched before he made a hand sign that caused his head to enlarge and his voice to amplify his own voice over the excitement of the class effectively quieting the class down.

Now that the class was quiet again Iruka continued his explanation "We will be learning the three main academy jutsu and some minor basic jutsu's, you kids won't be learning any big jutsu just yet since you are too irresponsible."

The class booed at that but there wasn't much they could do about it so they just accepted it.

Iruka then continued on with their normal lessons, since they were second years now he would cover more topics and would go deeper into theory, they would also start getting survival lessons where they would be taught how to gather food in the wild and how to survive in the shinobi world.

Much to the class's surprise they were actually taught their first jutsu that day, while it was not a very big or exciting jutsu it was a very useful one, the transformation jutsu was one that was used by all shinobi, while not perfect it was one of the best ways to disguise one slevses so a lot of ninjas used it to inflitrate place or to simply hide.

It was actually quite easy for the class to learn the jutsu as many of them had spent a lot of time training their chakra control, Naruto included, so they managed to cloack themselves in chakra quite easily, although the actual disguise didn't look quite like anything just yet, especially in Naruto's case as it required precise chakra control, which he did not have.

He had actually gotten a skill for the leaf concentration exercise but had only managed to get it to level twenty but that only increased his chakra control by 2% on top of what he was naturally capable of, each level only gave a 0.1 percent increase and it took him a long time just to get it to level 20, chakra control was the only thing holding him back at this point.

This also reflected on his transformation jutsu as he was barely able to coat himself in chakra and only managed to change the color of himself slightly, which wasn't very helpful.

If you compared Naruto to Sasuke and Shino in terms of chakra control then he would be incredibly behind, their chakra reserves were many times smaller than Naruto's even if you took both of their chakra reserves.

So while Naruto had the advantage of having an insane amount of chakra Shino and Sasuke had the advantage in learning techniques and controlling them.

Of course once the gamer system recognized that Naruto managed to learn the transformation jutsu and made it into a skill he would be able to rapidly catch up to the two of them.

After the academy ended Naruto, Shino, and Sasuke all walked to Ichiraku together to eat some ramen, Naruto had introduced his two friends to Teuchi and Ayame, when the Ichiraku duo found out that Naruto had made some actual friends they were overjoyed and had given him and his two friends free ramen for an entire week.

The trio sat down on the stools that were in front of the ramen stand as Teuchi greeted them.

"Yo, Teuchi-Jiji!" "Good afternoon Teuchi-san" "Hello Teuchi-san" They all greeted the smiling man as he took their orders and went to prepare them.

They then started to talk between themselves while they waited for their ramen to be done, after a while a quite weird subject was brought up by Sasuke.

"Lately my father and the clan have been acting really weird, they all disappear for hours weekly and everyone is being really secretive, I don't really know whats up with them but I doubt that its anything good." Sasuke told the other two.

Description: The Uchiha clan is in danger, the three elders and many civilians have been displaying displeasure at the presence of the Uchiha clan of the village with many of them demanding that the Uchiha are to be exiled from Konoha, your job is to make sure this does not happen, improve the reputation of the Uchiha clan or take down the ones spreading rumours.

Rewards: 100000 EXP, Fire jutsu scroll, 50000 Ryo, Chakra enhanced kunai set.

Naruto read the quest without a change in his expression, he had trained a lot in managing to keep his expressions in check in order to not raise any suspicion about his special ability and it seemed that it was a good thing that he did because he was very, very mad right now.

He didn't want to drag Sasuke or Shino into this so he kept silent about it, he needed to talk to the Hokage about this, and soon.

For now Naruto acted as if nothing happened and ate ramen with his friends.
