41 Chapter 41 - Rest

''That bell is going to annoy me'' Akai said with a deadpan expression as she heard a loud bell ringing, indicating the day was over for the students. 

Sukuna laughed and said, ''We have to notify them somehow that the class is over right? Besides, they only study from 08:00am am to 11.30am with half an hour break at 10:00am. After that they can decide to stay here and train or do whatever. All their training supplies are provided by the Clan'' 

Akai looked at the three huge buildings and said, ''Dividing the classes was a great idea, many older children are taking it upon themselves to teach the younger ones. Even the retired Ninja's come here to kill time and train the younger ones'' 

Sukuna smiled warmly at the place as many parents stood around the entrance gate while many greeted him warmly. After all, many of these young children could now train in a safe environment instead of a war zone. 

Although this was located near the outskirts of the Senju Compound, all the children could enter here without having to pay, be of a certain rank or have a certain status or have money. Whether they were farmers, office workers, shop owners, they could enter without trouble. 

Sukuna greeted a few more people with a light smile until Rin and Naruto walked next to each other. The two of them had bonded quite well with Rin acting as an older sister towards him, after all, her kind nature and mature bearing was definitely very welcoming for someone like Naruto. 

''Yo! Ho-ka-ge-sama!'' Naruto said with a playful grin as Sukuna helplessly ruffled his hair. The kid had been teasing him with this title for the last month. 

Everyone knew Sukuna could care less about being Hokage, yet it seemed he was going to have to take it soon, which was fine. He just didn't give an inkling about being Hokage. 

''How was it?'' Sukuna asked the two as Rin gave him a hug with a red face. 

Naruto wanted to answer but couldn't find the words as Rin put a hand on his shoulder as well with a warm smile on her face. 

''Different, right?'' Sukuna asked with a light smile as Naruto nodded. 

''Mmm'' Naruto nodded as a strained smile as he choked on his words, ''N...nobody looks at me weirdly like I'm some kind of monster'' 

Sukuna's expression slightly shifted as he mentally cursed himself for not killing Hiruzen. 

''You live with us now, so we're practically family. Oh yeah, Sasuke moved in next to you, I cut him some slack for cutting school for a few days but it's better if he goes back soon'' Sukuna said as Naruto's eyes glimmered, ''That big house?! Did Itachi-san move in too?!'' 

Sukuna looked at him with interest and asked, ''How did you guess?'' 

''Well, you made me see mom and dad, I'm sure that you wouldn't let Itachi leave after you adamantly cleared his name'' Naruto said with a grin on his face. 

''Hahaha, so you aren't a total idiot!'' Sukuna laughed loudly and ruffled his hair again, making him hiss in anger. 

''Ayo! What do you mean by that?!'' 

Sukuna grinned as his Sharingan activated, causing everyone to be confused why but Sukuna just smiled. What they all didn't see, was a translucent Kushina standing next to Naruto and him. 

{You can even do this?} Kushina said with a surprised tone as she tried to touch Naruto, but unfortunately, her hand passed through. 

''Mmm, it isn't that straining and atleast you can watch from your own point of view how your child is doing instead of being reliant on me'' Sukuna whispered as they walked towards their home as Kushina happily skipped along. 

''That reminds me, where is Tsunade-sama?'' Rin asked as a demonic grin entered Sukuna's face, causing them all to shiver while Kushina couldn't help but smile as well. 

''Well, a certain someone wants to redeem herself. So she can start by taking care of all the reforms and paperwork'' Sukuna said as they felt their backs tingle. 

{Evil brat, Minato would've taken atleast 3 months to complete that amount of paperwork} Kushina said with a bold laughter that only he could hear which made his grin even wider. 

Maru was left to do whatever she wanted, one of Sukuna's clones was at her side at all times experimenting aswell so there was no danger there. 

Just like that, Sukuna let them home and trained a little with Akai, Naruto and Rin. Akai knew more about medical Ninjitsu than Sukuna while he had in-depth knowledge about the Wind Element which was useful for Naruto. 

Akai couldn't help but be amazed at Rin's talent for being a Medical Ninja, as long as it was about medical Ninjutsu, she would be like a sponge and absorbed all knowledge. Although she lacked in the offensive side, she didn't need it. 

''Oh come on! I almost had it!'' Naruto yelled in anguish as he looked at the shuriken stuck in a tree log that was almost completely sliced through. 

Sukuna leaned against a tree in the distance while throwing a new log neatly on a tree stump for Naruto to keep practicing. 

{I knew he had my talent!} Kushina blew her own horn as she stood next to Sukuna. 

He purposefully stood a small distance away so they couldn't hear him talking to Kushina who desperately wanted to help train Naruto, Sukuna could understand so he agreed without hesitation while relaying her words to him without telling it was her. 

Besides, he was teaching Naruto Wind Force. It had been a few weeks since he started teaching the kid Wind Force, at first he just let him struggle along to not make it too easy, but since Kushina wanted help him, why not. 

It didn't take much extra effort to have Kushina's translucent body outside, at most it would take a few minutes to recharge after an hour or two. 

''Yes, yes, all your talent'' Sukuna sarcastically said as he shrugged his shoulders which earned him a death stare from Kushina. 

{The sarcasm is disgusting} Kushina said with a deadpan expression.

''Sarcasm?'' Sukuna asked with a 'confused' look which made Kushina tighten her fists. 

{You truly deserve a good fist on your head} Kushina said with 'anger' as her fist moved through the top of Sukuna's head who merely grinned, 

''Watch out, ladies with no manners are quite unattractive'' 

{Why would I need to be attractive? I'm a mother} Kushina puffed her chest as she looked at Naruto. 

''I can see that'' Sukuna said with a grin as he glanced at her breasts. 

{You are really unsavable} Kushina said with squinted eyes as she held her arms under her breasts with an 'angry' look on her face. 

''Oh come on, it might be because I'm not human. Besides, I expected you to have atleast a change of opinion regarding your choice after hearing I wasn't human'' Sukuna said as he looked at Naruto with a grin on his face, he almost had it again. 

{Why should I? I don't care what you are. Over the last month, you have shown Naruto nothing but love. He smiles, so I'm happy} Kushina said with a nonchalant smile. 

''Oh dammit!'' Naruto cursed as the shuriken pierced through the log but was stopped at the end, he looked at Sukuna and asked with a pitiful voice, ''Why are these logs so hard?'' 

Sukuna grinned and grabbed a shuriken with a nonchalant expression as he threw a shuriken coated in Wind Force towards the log. 

Naruto only saw a flash go through the log as it burst into small fragments and exploded like a small bomb. 

''H...holy.... Is that the same Jutsu?!'' Naruto asked with glimmering eyes as Sukuna nodded his head. 

''It's something I created based off a technique in my clan, it was my first creation'' Sukuna said with a smile as Naruto smiled brightly which made Sukuna and Kushina smile as well. 

''I swear I will master it!" Naruto said as a determined expression appeared on his face as he continued practicing. 

Sukuna just merely smiled as Kushina looked at him with a warmer look in her eyes as she with a grin, {Now tell me, what 'monster' would show care like that for a child because of a mere promise?} 

''The child never had a childhood, always fighting to get acknowledged while having to keep his mental health in check due to the Nine Tails' ability to talk to him and telling him to just ruin it all'' Sukuna said which caused Kushina to have a miserable look on her face. 

{I know I should've never agreed to seal half of the Nine Tails in my own son, I regret it, I regret it every second} 

''It's not your fault, you were not in the right state to make a proper decision. It was Minato's ambition to have his child succeed him, to have his child grow into an outstanding Shinobi while you wished for him to just live happily'' Sukuna said as he looked at Naruto who was wearing a genuine smile on his sweat-covered face. 

Kushina kept silent and continued to stare at Sukuna who stared at Naruto with tender eyes. She sighed and sat next to him and continued staring at her child. 

Her child was finally happy, but not because of her. She felt like she had failed in being a mother... 

''Hello?'' 

A soft voice entered Sukuna's courtyard as Mikoto entered the courtyard. 

She saw Sukuna sitting against a tree and quickly stepped towards him with a warm smile on her face and said, ''Good evening, Sukuna-chan'' 

Sukuna flinched as Kushina burst out laughing, 'chan' really had this scalp tingling.... 

''Just call me Sukuna, Mikoto-san'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile as he asked, ''Is something wrong?'' 

''In that case, call me Mikoto'' Mikoto smiled warmly as a cloud of smoke appeared, revealing a big pan of soup, ''I made dinner, Itachi and Sasuke still have some talking to do'' 

''You shouldn't overdo yourself, I just reincarnated you'' Sukuna said with slight worry as Mikoto hid the pan in a seal to keep it warm. 

''Don't worry, I'm strong enough'' Mikoto smiled as Sukuna grinned, ''yes indeed, I didn't expect you to have those eyes. If it wasn't because of the nametag, I wouldn't expect you to have those kind of eyes'' 

''Hehe, circumstances push some people through certain barriers'' Mikoto smiled sheepishly as she scratched the side of her face. 

''Oh btw, regarding your husband. I'm sorry but it would take another five to si-'' Sukuna wanted to explain that he currently wasn't in the right state to reincarnate someone, but Mikoto interrupted him. 

''Please don't reincarnate him!'' Mikoto said desperately which confused Sukuna and asked, 

''Why?'' 

''I'm sorry, but I'd rather not talk about it'' Mikoto smiled bitterly as Sukuna's eyebrow raised as he asked, ''Are you sure? I was planning to reincarnate most of the Uchiha's'' 

''You shouldn't, they are more rotten than you think'' Mikoto said with a sigh. 

Sukuna gave her a deep look before leaning back against the tree, ''Atleast Shisui Uchiha and Izumi Uchiha will be reincarnated'' 

Mikoto smiled at Sukuna with a warm smile as she knew why Izumi Uchiha was on his mind. Itachi's childhood sweetheart. 

Itachi had told them about Izumi many times back in the time. If nothing like the Uchiha's coup or Uchiha Slaughter were on the list, she was sure they would've gotten married and gotten kids. 

Sadly, time did not allow it. 

''Thank you'' Mikoto said earnestly before a complicated expression entered her face, ''Can I ask you for one more thing?'' 

Sukuna looked at her as she continued, ''Could you... reincarnate Kushina?'' 

Sukuna grinned at the shocked Kushina on his side as he said, ''Reincarnating someone requires me to have a similar amount of Chakra than them. Although her Chakra was heavily suppressed at the end of her life which makes it easier, she still has more than four times my current Chakra. Besides, I won't be able to reincarnate someone for the next three to four months'' 

Mikoto's eyes turned into worry and asked, ''Are you injured because you reincarnated me? I-'' 

''No, calm down'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile as Mikoto's worried gazed looked at him. 

He sighed and explained, ''It's a heavy burden on the spirit because I basically drag you back to the realm of the living. I overdid it myself, but I don't regret it'' 

''I'm sorry'' Mikoto said with a bitter expression and bowed as Sukuna repeated, ''You have nothing to apologize for. Just keep those kids happy. By the way, how did you get them to behave and talk?'' 

Mikoto wore a smile that made the air around her feel several times heavier as Sukuna felt his back tingle. 

''Ara~…. I wonder that too~...'' 

''Pretend I never asked'' Sukuna said as he looked away while silently feeling glad that he didn't have to deal with that. 

Mikoto smiled brightly as Kushina burst into laughter as well, clearly laughing at his new fear for mothers. 

Sukuna stood up and called everyone to come eat. As Mikoto disappeared inside and quickly made the table before anyone else he could. 

With Mikoto's warm nature, it wasn't weird that there wasn't any awkwardness around the table. Sukuna had deliberately asked to keep it quiet about her being Sasuke's mother considering that Naruto knew she was dead. 

It wasn't good for him to live towards the reincarnation of his parents. 

Sukuna had to admit that Mikoto's cooking was delicious. Although he felt quite bad for Kushina that couldn't come eat with them.
