97 The Two Jinchurikis

As soon as Ashira announced Yoriichi's promotion to Jonin, there was an uproar in the room.

"Congrats my rival. But I would surpass you and beat your ass soon. Watch out for the great Kiyoshi Watanabe who would become the future Uzukage." declared Kiyoshi

Hisame and Hiromi also congratulated Yoriichi politely. Yoriichi's team group hugged him including Genkai.

Yoriichi was himself very happy to become a Jonin. Although he was not as fast as Kakashi who became a Jonin at only 10, but Kakashi was promoted during war time. Besides, Yoriichi was much more powerful than Kakashi ever was except maybe when he fought Kaguya and had both of Obito's sharingan.

Yoriichi always thought that the sharingan held back Kakashi by a lot. He could have been much stronger without it. The Sharingan drained too much of his chakra. He could have learned the hatake swordsman of Sakumo and had become much stronger with it.

After everyone had congratulated Yoriichi, Ashira did another announcement "Alright the other thing I wanted to tell you guys was the two jinchurikis for the tailed beasts have been decided."

"What's a jinchuriki? asked Kiyoshi Watanabe

Yoriichi's team already knew what a jinchuriki is as they have already been told about it when Yoriichi asked Itsuki if he wanted to be one.

"What I am about to tell you is an S class secret of the village so no word should be spread about it. Understood?" Ashira asked with a serious look that said he was not joking one bit and the punishment for spreading this information would be cruel so everyone nodded.

He then explained to everyone about what a tailed beast is, what a jinchuriki is, what tailed beasts did our village get and their abilities and what tailed beasts other villages got. Finally he told everyone who a jinchuriki is.

"We have decided who would be the host for the tailed beasts. The host of the 7 tails would be Itsuki and host of 6 tails would be Kiyoshi." Ashira said looking at the two kids who would bear a huge responsibility on their shoulders.

Itsuki mostly knew that he would be the jinchuriki of the 7 tails who was a beetle and he liked insects. He could not wait to become a jinchuriki and meet the 7 tails. He excitedly shouted in excitement happily.

Everyone looked at him weirdly as no one wanted to be a jinchuriki but the kid was excited about becoming one.

"Being a Jinchuriki is a lot of responsibility. It would take away most of your freedom. You wouldn't be able to leave the village. You would be under constant surveillance. You could do the missions but only those which doesn't take you out of the village. Many people from the warring states period don't have any positive thoughts about the tailed beasts and some even hate them for killing their family members or friends so you should expect some hate from the villagers and your fellow Shinobi." Ashira said

"Although I would try to control the hate towards you by the shinobi but I can't do anything about the hate you will get from the civilians since they mostly won't understand what a jinchuriki is and their significance to our village. They would likely consider you as a monster."

"Initially we had thought of experienced Shinobi like a Jonin or an elite Jonin to become the jinchurikis but we wanted someone young to become a jinchuriki to see if they could use tailed beasts in their full potential by becoming friends with them or making a deal with the tailed beasts."

Tailed beasts were more likely to become friends with those jinchurikis who they have seen them grow from young to old rather than old Shinobi who were going to die in a couple decades. This was the reason behind Ashira and others to choose young children who were already a Shinobi with enough experience to become Jinchurikis so that they could befriend the tailed beasts in their long lives.

"But remember you would both be the hero of the village even if you don't befriend the tailed beasts. A tailed beast is a deterrent to other villages who think about attacking our village. But I am sure this deterrent wouldn't last long but still we are one of the only 6 villages that have a tailed beasts. On top of that we have two of them. Even if you reject being a jinchuriki, don't worry nothing would happen to you and you can continue doing your missions. Of course if you manage to use the tailed beasts power freely, You would be allowed to leave the village and do at least some of the missions."

"Although Itsuki, you are excited about being a jinchuriki you should think it through now because if you become a jinchuriki and if the tailed beast is extracted from you then you would most likely die. So both of you if you want to back out, this is your chance."

Itsuki was not worried about anything as he just wanted to meet the insect tailed beast already so he accept becoming a Jinchuriki without a thought. As for doing no missions, he knew he would befriend the tailed beast in no time and would then be able to missions.

As for Kiyoshi, he thought hard about it and asked Ashira a few questions "Uzukage san, I can understand why you chose Itsuki considering his Aburama blood but why did you choose me over everyone else to be the jinchuriki?"
