6 Chapter 6 : War and its consequences

"It's okay..."

Mihara said slowly as she looked at her, she then smiled at him and came close to him and leaned in, she paused her hand on his forehead with a serious expression before nodding her head and then she put her hand on his chest without even seeing the strange expression on Mihara's face that was slightly confused.

"Well your heart rate is back to normal, your wounds are starting to heal, ah yes I forgot to introduce myself I'm Haga Isami I'm the one who healed you."

"Thank you for your care, tout medical skills are excellent I already feel a little better thanks to you, to heal such serious wounds you must have taken a lot of time again thank you to you."

Mihara said softly with a slightly grateful tone, hearing this Isami smiley and rubbed Mihara's hair.

"At your young age you speak so well you must be popular with the girls, you little smooth talker, you remind me of my younger brother."

Suddenly seeing Mihara's strange look she remembered that he was a ninja and a foreigner and that what he had just done was not proper she stopped and apologized to Mihara.

Mihara shook his head quickly to tell her that he was not offended by her actions and then with a curious look asked her.

"Can I ask what I should do now?"

He was currently injured and it was impossible for him to be sent to the battlefield in his current state.

Konoha was certainly not going to leave the wounded on the battlefield, nor was it going to supply them with precious resources, for it was war all the resources of the Land of Fire and the village were put to the benefit of the War.

"Oh all the wounded will be sent to Konoha in two days, those with minor wounds will stay on the battlefield until further notice, you will return to the village soon since with your current wounds you won't be able to fight for at least two months."

Hearing this he breathed a sigh of relief that made the nurse smile and say goodbye before going on to the other injured.

Unable to move without feeling pain, he gradually closed his eyes and fell asleep in the warm blanket protecting the injured from the cold outside.

The day passed quickly all the ninjas in the Konoha camp were active and the next day a big snowstorm fell on the area.

Everyone protected themselves from the cold as best they could. The medical ninjas lit heat lamps under the aunts near the wounded, allowing them to rest without worrying about the cold, while the sensor type ninjas were on the lookout for any suspicious movement.

Mihara as for him rested in the biggest of silence, he woke up only during the visits of Kozutsami, he asked him where was his sensei Oza and learned that this one was in another camp of Konoha in a mountainous zone in the southeast of their camp.

Time passed, the snowstorm calmed down and the next day he was put in a wagon with other ninja in the direction of Konoha.

"Goodbye and take care of yourself, by the way give this letter for me to my father and mother."

Kazutsami gave him a sealed envelope that he put in his clothes before they said goodbye, he also saw the ninja nurse named Isami waving goodbye in the distance.

He smiled at this as the camp gradually disappeared from his view, he lay down in the back of the wagon next to the other injured Konoha ninja, no one spoke, everyone was either depressed or too tired.

They spent four days on the road before reaching the border of the land of snow.

On the way, Mihara could see devastated villages and in the towns he passed through, there were skinny children sitting in the street with empty eyes, sometimes he saw destroyed houses or burned fields, they even had to make detours because of bridges that had been deliberately destroyed by the enemy or Konoha ninjas.

It was war.

The second shinobi world war involves the majority of shinobi villages and countries, ten years after the end of the first war the participating countries were severely affected and in recent years this has created a great economic disparity between countries, nations began to form factions, and under the pretext of asserting equitable rights, countries began to use military force to expand their territory.

Suna is one of the main causes of the war because the Windy Country, poor in resources such as food, medicine and especially weak in activities such as trade, has been lurking on the lands of the Fire Country for a long time.

Konoha as the main military force and Suna who was one of the great instigators of this war especially the third Kazekage who is of a calm and stoic nature carefully calculating the situation formed several alliances first and launched the first offensive of the war.

The other powers, who also had their eye on each other's lands, started to fight, which brought us to the present situation.

But the worst part of this war was the small countries where the battles took place.

Ninjas are real weapons of destruction on a large scale, a single ninjutsu of rank A can raze a village and cause enormous damage to a city, the countries participating in the war agreed then to confront each other outside their territories in the small surrounding countries.

It was a selfish decision that impacted the lives of countless people, for a war that was not even theirs.

Mihara saw the traces of war on his way and felt empathy and pity for these people before closing his eyes.

He himself was only a weak and insignificant cog in this titanic machine that was the war he could not change anything and as one of the people who caused this disaster he had no right to feel pity for them because he was one of their executioners, at least that's what he thought at that moment.

Time passed, they crossed several small countries and a week later they finally arrived in Konoha.
