Another time skip ?! Yeah, that's the title.

It has been quite the productive week for Team 9, firstly, their teamwork improved tremendously, they were put in different sparring scenarios every afternoon, whether it is 3vs1's against their sensei in different environments, or 2v1 or an all out battle royale, there were even some mission scenarios like a simulation of an escort mission, an infiltration mission or a courier mission. Pakura didn't go easy on them in any way, shape or form, they were drilled on their situational awareness, their communication skills and their combat compatibility.

As for their individual progress, Maki managed to get surprising progress in her Nature Transformation, and her Chakra Sensitive Cloth seems to very much facilitate the process, and channeling Water Nature Transformation into it gives the cloth more than the heat resisting effect than what was showed in the anime, it seems that also facilitated the chakra usage when using flowing and non-sharp movements, a suggestion from Fuji about using the Cloth to redirect attacks instead of outright blocking them while Channeled showed surprisingly amazing results, the Water Nature Chakra gave the cloth a slippery effect that was more than physical, but also worked on chakra, as in jutsus. It made her defensive capabilities pretty frightening for a genin, her speed of deploying Cloth to entrap enemies also got faster and more fluid. She still can't get the Earth Nature Transformation though. Additionally, getting closer training with Pakura helped quite a lot with her Taijutsu, and with some advice from Fuji her Chakra control showed improvements too.

Out of the three, Sato had the most transformative change, while he didn't improve the most (even though he improved a lot), his tutelage with Pakura whose specialities are the same as his worked wonders for his skills. While Pakura uses fast Taijutsu and her orbs for a fast and flexible combat style, Sato prefers to distance himself from the enemy then Barrage them with extremely explosive ninjutsu. Pakura started him on Fire Nature Transformation, as well to his chagrin, Wind Nature Transformation, which he only accepted after the revelations that his twin affinities might give him the potential to use Scorch release. He also augmented his ninjutsu repertoire with the Great Fireball jutsu, as well as the Fox Fire jutsu (probably since it is reminiscent of Pakuras heat orbs) for Katon, and the Wind Ball and the Great Breakthrough jutsu's for Fuuton. His Taijutsu also got up to par, with his chakra control also improving due to Fuji's help.

Fuji however showed the fastest improvement, he managed to get the Yuganda kankaku (distorting senses) Genjutsu down pat, he could use the Genjutsu through eye contact, hand movement, and even sound, without any strain on his part due to his ridiculous chakra control. The Yuganda kankaku is quite an easy genjutsu that doesn't need much subtlety and is easily noticed in combat, which is why it's not used often, if at all. But Fuji's capability to stack it up to an annoyingly large degree makes it very effective for close-mid combat scenario, it will force someone to either seallessly break the genjutsu over, and over again which will make it forcefully active for more than a couple seconds, or for the enemy to distance themselves and break the genjutsu away from his range. He also managed to learn the Sunshin to the point that he could do it without any seals, however he's still training his dynamic vision to get used to the speed. Damn those Uchihas and their cheating eyes, they don't even have to put effort into being able to use the jutsu consistently while in combat.

The most important improvement however was that he managed to figure out how to switch his Rasengan's form, while it is very slow and clunky and not at all useable in combat situations, it served two big purposes, one is that it shows another avenue of improvement, because Fuji always had to choose which form will help the most, he had to wait until he has a good grasp of his opponents abilities and defenses to use a Rasengan, but with the new development he could keep them indefinitely next to him while switching its forms to the ones that give the best results, he still hasn't figured out how that Otsutsuki managed to channel even more chakra and make it larger in the Boruto movie, or how to manipulate its size, but just being able to change the type of damage from piercing to slashing to concussive whenever he wanted is going to be a great boon. The second is that it gave him more challenges in terms of chakra control, at this point anything that anyone could come up with in regard to control seems very easy to Fuji, he was very concerned that he was facing a bottleneck, without any challenge that gives him difficulties and forces him to concentrate on his chakra, he's going to improve more and more slowly as time goes on, and this new discovery came just in time.

Right now it is the last day of the week before missions start, it is the afternoon and Pakura is standing a couple meters in front of the three genin, it is the last spar of the week. And to define how much they progressed in their training, the scenario is the same as the first time, the 3 genins against Pakura.

After a couple of seconds of absolute silence, Sato suddenly throws a kunai directed for Pakura's face while jumping backwards. Maki meanwhile runs sideways while deploying water channeled cloth to try and trap her sensei. Fuji just dashes towards her however, while a circular disc shaped Rasengan and a very thin and sharp tsurugi appear floating slightly above him.

Pakura blocks the kunai with her metal bracer while she makes three heat orbs float behind her. She also manages to seamlessly dodge the barrage of cloth attacks from Maki. As Fuji gets in front of her he goes for an upwards slash while drawing his physical tsurugi, Pakura dodges to the left only to find a Rasen-tsurugi headed for her head. Maki sends her cloth around Pakura while she's ducking, and tries to jump away, only to be suddenly disoriented by a sealless genjutsu from Fuji. Pakura had no choice but to waste one of her three orbs on the water chakra attuned cloth.

Chaos ensues as Fuji engages in close combat with Pakura while Maki gives support with her cloth. Sato can't do much as he'll just be a burden in close range, and with the heat orbs of Pakura all of his jutsus will just make them hotter/bigger, so he kept his distance, throwing some kunais from time to time, and waiting for his teammates to deplete the other two orbs.

A chance comes around, as Pakura tries to break the stalemate by sending a heat orb towards Fuji, who extinguishes it by blocking it with his disk rasengan, and does the same to the other one with his sword rasengan. Sato instantly recognizes his chance as he rapidly performs the Great Fireball jutsu, Pakura jumps back to dodge while Fuji backflips away into his disk rasengan, using it as a foothold he jumps towards Pakura while she's in the air.

Using his momentum, Fuji sends a powerful roundhouse kick towards his sensei, she then blocks with her forearms only to get barelled towards Sato right when he's throwing three mini fireballs at her fire bender style, Pakura rapidly scrounges up a heat orb in time to absorb the fireballs, which Fuji promptly cuts with his rasengan sword. And Maki, who spent this time to prepare a makeshift cloth cage in the direction of Pakura's landing, manages to trap her idol just as she steps into the ground.

"Alright, good job." Says Pakura while tearing the cloth tying her through physical strength.

"Congratulations, that should put your collective strength at somewhere between High-chuunin and Tokubetsu jounin, quite a lot of improvements for just a week. We're done for today, tomorrow we meet 2 hours after dawn in front of the Kazekage's office to take our first mission, I expect you to be on time."

"Hai Sensei!" x3

"Well, goodbye then."

"Alright! who's up for some steak ? My treat !" Says Fuji to his teammates.

"Yeah ! I love steak, I'm in" Replies Sato.

"Thank you, but we're sharing the bill." Says Maki.

"We are ?!" Replies Sato.

"We can't just keep mooching off Fuji you dumb*ss ! We should pay for once !" Cries Maki

"Who the hell are you calling a dumbass ! You didn't call me that when I saved your hide yesterday when you..."

Fuji let's out a content sigh while watching his teammates bickering. This is nice, he thought. He just hopes that the mission tomorrow goes smoothly.
