27 Chapter 27: Thunder Crashes!

Chapter 27

SHINSO KEN

This was quite unexpected. I had known of the prowess of tailed beasts, but this was something way beyond my expectations. My chakra stores were getting depleted. Kakashi and Gai sensei were still defending me from attacks while keeping Shukaku in the arena.

Asuma sensei was basically lighting the whole place up, showing all his heritage and skill as a Sautobi. One minute was up and I had finished the hand seals.

"Ok! Get back on my signal!" I shouted and all three of my swords left stuck to the ground, surrounding Shukaku. Who was still roaring and shooting air bullets?

"Hee-hee! I am free!" the giant sand raccoon shouted.

Lightning began covering the three swords, and I began molding a large amount of lightning in the clouds through all the chakra I had supplied.

The lightning coalesced and formed a large singular sword. I could see the surprised faces of everyone as I jumped into the air, right above Shukaku, who finally spotted me as the source of the technique.

"You are not getting me again," I heard a shout. A huge condensation of chakra started to appear inside his mouth. I could feel the sheer amount of chakra being gathered by one tail and it was the largest amount of chakra I had ever felt.

"Begone with the wrath of the god of thunder!"

'Narukami's Wrath.' And the great sword of lightning descended unto Shukaku, who then let go of the huge ball of gathered chakra.

'Tailed Beast Bomb' And the huge ball of chakra collided with my attack. The sheer amount of force and devastation propelled me uncontrollably through the air, and I felt my body crash into several pieces of concrete, each of them leaving my body blood and broken.

BOOM.BOOM.

I finally crashed into a wall.

"AHHHHHH," blood spurted out of my mouth, and I tried to steady myself but taking in a breath hurt. I looked down, and red filled my vision. I was bleeding heavily from one side of my abdomen while one of my legs was completely fractured.

The whole arena was covered with smoke, and there was not a single sound to be heard. I looked up and saw something glisten lightly beneath all the smoke. My body slumped to the ground, and each breath took a hefty toll on me.

"You are quite a pest," a brackish voice reached my ears, and alarm bells rang through my head. Adrenaline rushed through my body; I began to push chakra to my legs, yet found my stores completely depleted. I tried to push my body up as I saw the silhouette appearing closer.

And when the dust settled slightly, my eyes widened at the sight in front of me. There was a huge glass figurine of the Shukaku. Yet Gaara was approaching me. His whole body was covered with sand, though one side of his face was disfigured—sand running down from a side. The golden eyes stared at me with ferocity and intensity that I felt shivers run down my spine. I saw his steps stagger. The sand all around was still gushing towards him. Shukaku was trying to reform his large body. It was pretty vulnerable in this state.

I tried to push myself off the ground, but my body failed to move. My chakra stores depleted, and my muscles shredded; I found myself struggling to move an inch. The effort to move took a toll on me as I found my vision darkening. Each time I tried to breathe, it was as if weights were crushing my chest.

Red entered my already limited vision as blood gushed down my face, dripping into my eyes.

"It seems to me you are finally done. Let me put you out of your misery!" I heard a very brackish voice.

Then I saw a colossal projectile of sand form behind one tail. I was barely breathing, and my vision was completely gone. And it finally dawned on me that this was it. This would be my end!

I saw the projectile move toward me. A remarkably familiar face crawled through my consciousness, making a small smile appear on my face. This may be my purpose. To change a single fate.

I could feel myself getting lightheaded; the last vestiges of light in my vision flickered. My body felt extremely cold. A part of me was panicking and terrified of the enveloping darkness.

This was it! The End!

Though before, I convened with darkness. I heard my name getting shouted in a remarkably familiar voice. A voice that should not be here. Perhaps it was just my imagination.

KARIN UZUMAKI

"NOOO!" she shouted as she saw the massive spike of sand reaching for Shinso. The last vestiges of his chakra had settled down. His life force was barely flickering, and she felt his spirit ease up. Her eyes widened, and fear, anger, and a whole slew of emotions rose in her heart. Her eyes teared up, and she pushed all her chakra through her body as she rushed toward him. Yet she was too far. She would not be able to reach him. The smoke and dust had yet to settle down. She had only found him due to her sensing. Her chakra rammed through her coils. Faster, as it thrashed around in her body. Aching to be let out and she just shouted desperately.

"SHINSOOO!" yet there was only a flicker in his chakra. Her eyes teared up as she saw the sand spike almost reach him.

"NOOO!" she shouted, and her chakra burst from her body. She felt it concentrate in her back and groped her reserves drop tremendously as she heard the sound of metal whistling through the air.

THUMP. THUMP.

And she opened her eyes to see four chains extending from her back, coiled around the sand. Stopping it in its tracks. Her eyes widened as she reached Shinso's slumped body.

"SHINSO! Wake up! Please wake up!" she said as she held his face in her hands. Blood was covering half of his face. Yet he did not reply. He did not even give her his signature soft smile. He did not even call her by that absurd nickname. She could no longer feel his chakra.

"Please!"—her voice cracker up as she ripped placed her hand in his mouth. And pushed up his jaw, not even caring about the pain as she felt her skin tear up. —"Please!" she prayed desperately.

She felt her body stagger as chakra left her coils. But there was no reaction. His chakra was not recovering. His body remained unmoving. Yet she did not relent. She could not give up.

He had been the first person to care. To care about a caged girl. He had broken her cage, given her hope. Given her security. He had given her a choice. He had brought color back to her life. She could not give up on him.

She felt her chakra drop down to extremely low levels. Her body staggered, and she felt her own vision darken. But she did not relent.

"You promised me! You promised that day! 'From this day to the end of my days.' You promised me. You can not LEAVE ME NOW! GET UP! GET UPPP!" she cried out desperately. Yet there was no reaction. Her senses picked up movement behind her. And her eyes widened as she saw that her chains had been broken.

And she saw the monster made of the sand snarl.

"AGHHH!" and the colossal sand of spike was rushing straight towards her. Yet she could not move. She did not move. She couldn't move.

Instead she straightened her body, covering the brown-haired idiot completely, and closed her eyes. Stiffening her body for the incoming pain. Yet the pain did not come as she heard a huge shout behind her.

"RASENGAN!" and there was a huge blast behind her.

KAKASHI HATAKE

Kakashi was going to be late once more. He tried to push his body as he saw the awfully familiar golden chains crumble. Yet he was too far. Wat too far as he saw the sand spike rush towards the red-haired girl. Yet she did not move away and only positioned herself in front of the slumped-down form of Karin's student.

Though Kakashi's eyes widened as he saw a blue blur appear between the spike and the red-haired girl. Yellow hair holding a blur of chakra condensation in one hand. And it was as if he was seeing the image of a great man, a great man that had no place to be here.

"RASENGAN!" he heard the shout. The move and the voice are so reminiscent.

BOOM. And he saw the spike getting torn to shreds. As the orange blur stood between the two, the shriveled-up One Tails and the head of the Uzumaki clan. He saw the girl's eyes widen as two more people landed beside Naruto.

Sasuke and Shino landed. He saw the Aburame kid stiffen as he saw the state of his teammate. There was an incredibly determined glint in the eyes of the three boys.

He saw a couple of shinobi get up from the rubble. And then he saw them stiffen as they saw the vast glass statue. This gave Kakashi the time to eliminate them without any hassle.

The kid had succeeded. Even if the move had gotten out of control in the end, but he had succeeded in combating a tailed beast. The shriveled-up form of one tail was going to be short work.

It was time to end this. Shinso had given them a chance.

He had protected the village and had done his duty, and now it was time that they did theirs.

"One of you carry both of them to the Hospital immediately. Have them treat him as priority S!" he shouted at the three boys.

He saw a clone appear beside the Aburame kid as he picked up both the red-haired girl, who had lost consciousness and Shinso. Then he saw him jump out of the arena.

Kakashi appeared in front of two students. Both of them seemed a little surprised at the sight in front of them. He heard Sasuke question as his Sharingan flickered toward the colossal statue.

"Did he-?" and Kakashi spoke before he could finish the question.

"Yes, this was Shinso's doing. He has given us a huge opportunity, and now we are going to finish the job." He spoke as his Sharingan narrowed at the recovering form of Ichibi.

"Let's go." He shouted, and both of them nodded their head and vanished in a blur as Kakashi began making hand seals.

He saw Naruto and Sasuke appear on each side of the golden-eyed monster. Blue gleaming in their hands.

"CHIDORI!"

"RASENGAN!"

And then he finished his hand seals as well. And he blurred in front of the body of one tail, chakra concentrated in his hand.

"FOUR TRIGRAMS SEAL." And his hand struck the form of one tail. And in its weakened state, it could not resist as the sealing formula enveloped its complete form. And when the process was complete.

"NOOO!" he heard a scream as the sand monster tried to thrash around before it suddenly stopped. Golden met red.

And then, with a single blink, he saw the eyes turn pale brown. And the sand fell, lifeless as it fell to the ground, and a single body with a seal shining on its chest was left standing. Unconscious, as it fell to the ground.

It was over. They had succeeded in capturing and sealing a tailed beast. Yet the war was only beginning.

He felt several chakra signatures appear in the arena. And he looked up to find a plethora of enemy shinobi standing in front of him. He felt Naruto and Sasuke stiffen slightly.

He circulated his chakra through his coils. And he then let a small amount of it out. He saw the enemy shinobi stiffen up. He cracked his neck. Chakra gushed through his coils. He then gave the enemy ninja a simple stare as he spoke.

"I am Kakashi Hatake, the copy ninja. The man who copied a thousand techniques." And he saw them shudder at the coldness in his tone. Then he began making hand seals, his hands blurring through motions he had drilled into his bones.

"Let me show you some of them!" and he vanished.

BOOM.

0000

Kakashi seals Ichibi. Minato was his teacher, I don't believe that he did not teach Kakashi the basics of sealing.

Plus, he did seal off Sasuke's cursed mark so he could do them. Plus, this is a temporary measure, as Jiraiya can look at it later.

I had so much fun writing this. Hope you like it.
