13 Chapter 13
Team 7 had done a lot of D-Rank missions since their Land of the Waves missions. Most missions were weed picking and walking the dogs.
Right now, in front of Naruto and Sakura, there was a person in a black suit with face paint on his face. He was holding a child by the collar and lifting it into the air.
"For your own sake, I suggest you put the boy down." Naruto said sternly as he moved his hand towards kunai.
"Oh? I just want to play a little. Also, since he hit me, I think I should teach him a little lesson." He said with a grin.
"Kankuro, let it go. We will be scolded because of you." The blond-haired girl standing next to the boy with the painted face said.
"I suggest you listen to the beauty next to you. I understand from your forehead protector that you must be from Sunagakure. I suggest you put the child in your hand on the ground so that there is no argument between the two villages. Because that boy is the grandson of Sandaime Hokage." Naruto said.
"The grandson of Sandaime? How do I know you're not lying? I'll teach him a lesson by just beating him a little." Kankuro said with a grin as he raised his fist.
The blonde-haired girl was about to open her mouth to say something when Naruto suddenly appeared behind Kankuro.
"I will not warn you again. Put the boy down or you will suffer the consequences." Naruto said while holding his kunai to Kankuro's throat.
"When did he get behind me!?" Kankuro thought.
At that moment, a stone was thrown from a tree to the hand where Kankuro was holding the child, and the child fell to the ground.
"What are you doing in someone else's village?" Sasuke said as he sat on the branch.
"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura cried out in admiration.
"Please keep your friend under control. If he continues to act like this, he probably won't live long." Naruto said while picking up the boy who had fallen to the ground.
The blonde girl nodded in approval.
"You two are itching too much!" Kankuro said as he took the thing wrapped in the bandage hanging on his back.
"Kankuro you will use it! Don't be silly." She said.
"Don't mess with me, Temari." Kankuro said.
"Enough Kankuro. You discredit our village." A red-haired boy said while standing upside down on the branch behind Sasuke.
"G-Gaara! Please listen to me, they started it first." Kankuro said in a nervous tone.
"Shut up! Or I will kill you!" Gaara said sternly.
"I- I see, I was wrong. I'm s- sorry." Kankuro said with a worried expression.
Gaara turned into sand and reappeared next to Temari.
"Let's go." Gaara said.
"Hey, you! What is your name?" Sasuke said after jumping down.
"Gaara of the Sand. I was wondering about yours too." Gaara said.
"Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke said with a grin.
Naruto was slowly approaching Temari at that time.
"It was Temari, wasn't it? I'm Naruto Uzumaki. It must be your first time in Konoha, and if you want a tour guide to tour around, I will gladly accompany you." Naruto whispered while smiling..
"I will consider your offer, Naruto-san." Temari said as her cheeks flushed slightly.
"Your name?" Gaara asked, looking at Naruto.
"Oh? Me? I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in men." Naruto said.
"You… My mother wants your blood. I look forward to seeing you in the exams." Gaara said.
"Your mother?" Naruto grinned and approached Gaara.
As he got closer to Gaara, he bent a little to meet his eyes.
After his eyes changed into wolf eyes, Naruto whispered, "Your name was Shukaku, right? Let's talk more later, okay Shukaku-san? I look forward to meeting you"
After his eyes returned to normal, Naruto smiled at Gaara one more time, then turned around and started walking away.
"Why did my mother suddenly become afraid of him? Why is mom telling me to run away from him?" Gaara thought as he clutched his head because of the pain.
At that moment Shukaku*
"Why is there a familiar feeling coming from it? Feels like Juubi? No, it can't be! I feel only Kurama's presence in him! I can't take this risk, I have to get out of here! Those eyes! It definitely feels like Juubi!"
Next Morning*
Kakashi arrived late again and made Team 7 wait for 2 hours.
"Sensei, you are late again!" Sakura shouted.
"A black cat passed in front of me on the way, so I had to change my course. Don't worry." Kakashi said while scratching his head.
"What kind of excuse is that?"
"Anyway, I have recommended you all for the chuunin exams. These are your application documents. But you don't have to enter just because I suggested it to you. If any of you want to apply, come to room 301 of the academy after five days. Until then, you are free." Kakashi said before leaving.
"I am much weaker than Sasuke and Naruto. If I do, I'll be dragging them down. Should I join?" Sakura thought.
"Sakura, can we talk for a minute?" said Naruto.
Sakura looked around, first at Naruto, then at Sasuke.
"Sigh* What do you want? You may be a little handsome, but Sasuke-kun is too handsome and stronger than you." Sakura said. She was upset that couldn't see Sasuke when she looked around.
"Sakura, you are the weakest person in the team right now. If you take the exams in this state, you can endanger both us and yourself. If you want to listen, I can give you some advice to get stronger." Naruto said.
"Hmm… Please give me some advice." Sakura said.
"What? Did I hear wrong? Did Sakura agree? Fangirl Sakura?" Naruto thought in surprise.
