"Damn it!" I cursed as Sakumo kicked me in the chest. The impact of his kick sent me flying through the air, and I landed forcefully on the training ground floor, located near the Hatake residence.

"Get up!" Sakumo ordered with a smile on his face, holding his iconic Tanto. It had been a week since he accepted me as his disciple. After I prevented him from committing suicide using some Talk no Jutsu, he felt responsible for me.

Due to his still shaken mental state, Sakumo decided to temporarily step away from his shinobi activities to give more attention to Kakashi's growth, his son. Naturally, upon realizing that Sakumo was teaching Kakashi the Hatake style of Kenjutsu, along with the Lightning style nature transformation, I didn't miss the opportunity and shamelessly asked him to guide me as well.

Don't judge me, my request had some foundation. As I am a good arguer, I managed to convince him to teach me, exposing my concerns and need for strength.

The night I somehow saved Sakumo from suicide deeply marked my life. The feeling of weakness and helplessness made me realize how arrogant I was. Under these circumstances, I decided to use all my precious time on activities that would contribute to my development, practicing not only the art of Kenjutsu under Sakumo but also Fuinjutsu during my free time.

Due to the need to develop Fuinjutsu on my own, I had to visit the "public library." I had visited this place before to seek the knowledge necessary to practice Taijutsu in the Ninja Academy, as well as other chakra-related subjects.

Due to my familiarity with the library, I quickly located a basic book on Fuinjutsu titled "Fuinjutsu: The Art of Sealing," written by none other than Mito Uzumaki. It was an unexpected discovery to find a book written by the wife of the First Hokage herself. Mito was a direct descendant of the Uzumaki clan's royalty, renowned for their expertise in the art of sealing. I was curious to see how much wisdom she shared in those pages and how valuable this book could be.

Filled with doubts, I immersed myself in the knowledge contained in the book, using my clones to accelerate my development. I started by practicing my calligraphy, following the instructions in the book. Soon, I began to reap the first results of this practice.

After mastering this learning area enough to feel confident, I moved on to the effective practice of sealing techniques. The book was divided into five volumes. The first one covered calligraphy, the second dealt with the concepts behind the art of sealing, similar to programming logic, using techniques like algorithms and syntax. Volumes three to five explored the creation of the most basic seals, such as explosion seals, storage seals, and others with limited applications.

With the help of my clones and enhancing my intelligence and IQ, I managed to complete all the basic study material in less than a week.

Resuming my current training with Sakumo, upon hearing his demand, I stood up and drew a short, curved sword with a simple appearance. Initially, Sakumo had given me a Tanto, but I decided to make my own request. I was passionate about medieval swords and knew that it was difficult to find them in this world. When explaining to Sakumo the type of sword I desired, he denied my request due to the size and immaturity of my body to effectively handle such a weapon.

Aware of this limitation and setting aside my desires, I showed Sakumo an alternative drawing of a small curved sword, with only one edge, inspired by the style of Meliodas' Lostvayne sword from the anime Nanatsu no Taizai. Upon analyzing my drawing, Sakumo approved it, acknowledging that such a sword could work. However, he rejected my request once again, explaining that Konoha didn't have a skilled enough blacksmith to develop the design.

This deeply saddened me. Realizing my downcast mood, Sakumo suggested that I ask for a simpler design. And so, my first weapon was conceived.

With a brief defiant glance at Sakumo, I quickly advance, and we initiate a sword duel. Despite my attacks, which follow a simple and direct style, Sakumo easily defends against all of them. He knows my weaknesses well and takes advantage of an opening in a strong enough move to push me back. I end up falling to the ground with the sword by my side, feeling the coldness of the iron blade against my neck as I stare at Sakumo.

"I still have much to learn, thank you for guiding me, Sakumo-sensei," I express my gratitude as he removes the blade of his Tanto from my throat.

"Don't worry, you're progressing well. With a few adjustments here and there, you'll have a solid enough foundation to compete with Kakashi," he says, provocatively smiling.

Developing my own art in Kenjutsu is not an easy task. So far, I have only absorbed the basics of swordsmanship. Currently, I am focused on the first and most important movement of my technique: the "Guard." It may seem insignificant to others, but the "Guard" is essential to connect all movements in swordsmanship. It serves as a starting point and key to victory in combat. The concepts behind the "Guard" are simple and easy to understand, and its foundation lies in posture. If the "Guard" doesn't incorporate this basic concept, it will be weak and full of openings for the opponent to exploit.

"Smile while you can, Sakumo-sensei," I reflect and smile back mischievously.

"The training is over," Sakumo says, tossing a small towel at my face.

"You rude old man," I retort, as I begin to wipe away the sweat.

"Look who's talking," Sakumo smiles sarcastically.

Recognizing the fact, I remain silent. I am still working on overcoming my previous attitude towards my colleagues and family. It's difficult to rid oneself of an ingrained habit.

"How is Kakashi?" I inquire, after all, tomorrow is an important day for him as it's his birthday.

We are in the ninth month of the year, which means tomorrow will be September 15th, Kakashi's birthday. I finally understand the reasons behind Kakashi's troubled personality in the original work. Having his father commit suicide in the month of his birthday is not exactly a suitable gift. I wonder what Sakumo was thinking.

"Kakashi is fine. I plan to train him later, so he can have a day off tomorrow," Sakumo says, smiling. Internally, I start to feel sorry for Kakashi.

Already at the Hatake training grounds, I decide to bid farewell and head back home so as not to take any more of Sakumo's precious time.

And so, I conclude my day by procrastinating a bit and taking some time to rest.

In the future, I plan to focus solely on my hobbies, but currently, it's a bit challenging.

So, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Even if it's not much, I truly appreciate the help.
