39 Chapter 38

A week passed by quickly and I was slowly getting more comfortable with my eyes. After some minor tests, I was ready to use my eyes to see the world again.

I would still use the contact lens on the Byakugan eye. The Sharingan eye didn't need them as I could turn them off, now that they were my eyes.

The reason as to why I didn't use both the Sharingan eyes was because, even though I like the fancy powerful eyes, they are only useful in battle.

The Byakugan has numerous uses in daily life. So, I didn't want to part with them. I didn't use the eyes that much and just tested them for an hour, as I had an appointment with my team captain.

I teleported to my home, where I almost got killed by Aki for leaving for a week. I did leave after informing her, but I didn't mention when I would return.

After being lectured for a hour, I left to the village and arrived at the meeting place. I found Yugito, but she was with two other ninjas.

They both didn't have a friendly look on their faces, so I could guess Yugito's situation. I landed before her and asked "Why did you call me here?"

I wasn't going to give her respect, because she called me out on my day off. She replied "I received an urgent mission to bring back our spy who was on a mission in Kirigakure.

He is being chased by Kirigakure ninja and we were tasked to bring the information back to the village at any cost. We needed a medical ninja and the others were busy on other missions. That's why I had to call you."

When she finished speaking, a ninja beside me clicked his tongue and said "Tch.. Raikage-sama is sending us with a kid and a monster to this mission. I wouldn't be surprised if we fail the mission due to these two."

Yugito was pissed when she heard him call her a monster. She wasn't like others who just sit and take all the insults. She had a record of beating 12 chunin at once for insulting her.

She then turned to me and smiled. I was worried that she would start a fight. That would not be a good idea as they were on an important mission and they are ninjas whom we had to trust our backs with.

After that, she announced "We will meet at the gate in 10 minutes. Prepare the necessary tools and arrive on time. We don't have time to spare." and the two ninja were the first to disperse.

I already came prepared, so I didn't have to go anywhere, same with Yugito. We walked towards the gate and she said to me "You are actually quite brave to try and stop me. You didn't have to though, I wouldn't go rough on them."

"That's exactly why I stopped you. You would have beaten them up anyway. We are on a mission to retrieve information from a spy who is being chased.

We need them in full strength and ready for combat. You should learn to ignore people. Dogs will keep barking." I said.

She shook her head and said "If you keep ignoring, more dogs will come to bark. Once you throw a stone at them, the others will also learn from that and not come close."

I nodded my head as I didn't know what to tell. She was right when you look at it in a way, but that would only leave her alone.

As if she read my mind, she said "I know it would lead me to loneliness and that is the most dangerous thing in this world.

But I don't have to worry about this, as I found people who have accepted me and they are enough for me." and ruffled my hair.

I smiled and then asked "What are those two idiots doing?"

She sighed again and said "They seriously need to have a control on their hormones. The tradition of having sex after forming the teams, has turned to a big headache.

They had sex for the first time and both got addicted to the feeling. They have been at it the whole time that no one in our house could sleep peacefully. Now, they are being lectured by my mother and she is teaching them how to control their hormones."

We kept talking and reached the gate in five minutes. We waited for them and they arrived exactly after 5 minutes.

We left immediately after they arrived and moved to the border of the Land of Lightning. Since there is a huge sea between the two countries, it is difficult for our ninja to escape from there and arrive here.

We received information that he snuck into a merchant ship and Kirigakure shinobi were searching for him like mad dogs.

Now, usually the mission would be easy as he already managed to escape the country and board the ship. But they wouldn't send us if there were no risks.

The waters is the home ground for the Kirigakure shinobi and they were experts when it came to ambushing ninjas in the sea.

So, we were asked to board another ship heading towards the Land of Hot waters and get off mid way. From there, we had to search for the ship the spy was on and and assist him. If we can't save him, we could abandon him and get the information to the village.

The last part, we weren't informed and I got to know this after I read Yugito's thoughts. This only proved one thing, that Kumogakure was desperate to increase power and now that many countries lost their power, it was the best time.
