Toshiko's Return

The very next day itself, Rayzen visited Ryobu's house. His wife was there and welcomed him warmly out of politeness. Meeting Ryobu, Rayzen asked for a private chat.

" I don't know who you are yet kid! Introduce yourself." said Ryobu in confusion.

" My bad. You might actually know me. I am Rayzen Uchiha son of Takeshi. Nice to meet you!" Rayzen gave a warm welcome.

Ryobu obviously recognised his name as his expression turned cold, well, colder than it was before. He asked with a mocking smile:

" Why is someone like you visiting someone like me? Are you trying to buy me off, kid?"

" That maybe true." replied Rayzen.

Before Ryobu could act on getting offended, Rayzen spoke with a sly smiling 'eye':

" I didn't introduce myself completely earlier! I am also Tasu's friend. The Tasu who has a beautiful mother by the name of Sa..ya..ka!"

" Are you trying to blackmail me kid?" Ryobu asked through gritted teeth, while suppressing his rising rage.

' Oh! Interesting! Should I test his limits? '

" What if I am? " said Rayzen trying to establish his dominance and barely succeeding.

Ryobu clenched his fists, that shook in anger, and raised it while looking threateningly at Rayzen. But Rayzen didn't even flinch.

Ryobu sighed and lowered his fist. He gave up as he said:

" I'll do whatever you wan-"

Rayzen interrupted by saying:

" Don't fret! I am not interested in blackmailing. I just want to make a deal."

Rayzen left Ryobu's house with a warm smile on his face.

Seeing the departing figure of Rayzen, Ryobu whispered to himself: " If he acquires enough strength to be named as an official candidate, I can consider supporting his endeavour. I hope you get stronger faster kid. "

Having made a deal, Rayzen didn't go to Tasu's house, instead went to Takeshi's. Today, Toshiko was coming after the outdoor

camping trip of her class.

From Toshiko, Rayzen got to know that the academy was just not about sitting in a classroom and learning three jutsus and stuff. But it included survival training among other courses like reconnaissance, espionage etc., that was vital to living long as a ninja.

Toshiko shared with Rayzen and Sora her experience in camping and they later went on training and doing fun stuff and snacking.

The next day, Rayzen went to Tasu's to inform Sayaka of the deal.

" Basically, he won't disturb you guys anymore, given that Tasu will train under Ryobu. Its a win-win deal. "

" Indeed. Ryobu teaching will only have benefits. I'll inform him later. Thanks dear for helping out this old lady. For your reward..." Sayaka slowly approached his ears and whispered something.

Rayzen heavily blushed on hearing Sayaka's whispers that he told her nervously:

" I am not a grownup yet... and I have no need for it now! I'll claim my... 'reward'... once I am an... adult!"

" Very well dear! Don't make this old lady wait for you too much! " Her seductive reply was too destructive for his virgin mind.

Not wanting to make anything worse than it already is, Rayzen found an excuse and escaped.

Now that his restrictions were lifted, Rayzen started working on his water surface walking practice. He could now access the training grounds that was better suited for this training, rather than his backyard.

It only took him three days to master water walking and still he continued his training to polish his chakra control by striking his limits and making the training much more difficult. It took him three days to have a good mastery over water walking only due to his large growing volume of chakra.

Rayzen had already went through the study materials given to him that included the three basic academy jutsus: Transformation jutsu, Clone jutsu, Substitution jutsu.

He was already able to use the three jutsus and he learned to integrate into bis battles through spars with Takeshi, Toshiko and Sora. He also helped Sora out whenever he was free, as she too mastered the three basic jutsus, apart from the fireball jutsu that she had mastered before going to the academy.

Rayzen was surprised to know that even though Tree climbing exercise is mentioned in the study materials for the first years, the students very rarely practice it. The teachers only ensure that students practice leaf concentration exercise to perform the three basic jutsus satisfactorily. This can also be seen as a test for the students.

Nonetheless, they will be informed of the importance of tree climbing exercise, during survival training, espionage and recon courses, at most before graduation. It is left for the students to polish themselves, instead of a mandatory condition for graduation.

But Toshiko under Takeshi's guidance had already started practicing by the second year. While under Rayzen's guidance, Sora too graduated from Leaf concentration exercises meant for first years to the tree climbing exercise and reached a level where she could easily walk on walls and trees.

Having access to Toshiko's study materials for the second and third year, Rayzen went through it when he had nothing important to do after training.

A week passed after Toshiko's return and classes went like usual and Rayzen was only invested in it when the teachers share their real life experiences instead of textbook teaching.

Rayzen soon ran out of books to study and had decided to visit the library. After verifying his credentials, he was allowed access into it. The library was of a normal size one that the average schools in his previous life had. He saw all the academic study materials for all four years there and even saw introductory books of sealing, medic, barriers etc. He got excited and learnt from the librarian about the restrictions and available books.

He was surprised that there were even jutsus upto C - rank here and other books and scrolls upto to the same rank as well.

The reason for his surprise being that almost all the good stuffs were forbidden to the academy students while the library was only meant for the use of academy students.
